Today I'm going to talk about the easiest way I think you can make money from your art as a beginner artist and a beginner business person. If you want to get your art in front of people, make connections and possibly grow an art business these tips will help you out! We'll talk about art shows, selling prints, getting commissions and getting your art seen, as well as strategies for how to stand out at an art show, how you can find art shows and how you can differentiate yourself from everyone else. I wonder how this idea would work:
1. Get as many artists as you can assemble to submit their art work.
2. Rent a vacant commercial space for a day.
3. Plan a well-advertized art show.
4. Sell all the art work as a Silent Auction where paintings start at a minimum bid. The auction ends at a certain time when the highest bidder then owns the painting. You'd have to find a way to insure that the bidders don't reneg.

Good ideas here. There's an art gallery that works on a similar basis here in town and I think they have some success helping up and coming artists. The trick is connecting artists with people who want to buy
