Fantastic, stunning, beautiful everything - the sound, the faces and the atmosphere. Many thanks to the conductor and choir for the inspiration and harmony.

You can pick and pick at pronunciation and such, but this is a stunning performance by many young singers! Each and every singer should feel proud of the final result and the director deserves kudos for getting them to sing together an in tune! Thank you for posting something enjoyable to listen to!

I cannot get enough of this song. Descendent of Clan Douglas, not sure which side they were on.

Gesanglich sehr gut, aber jemand müsste den jungen Herren mal beibringen, wie man sich anständig kleidet:
    - Keine Arbeiter-Hosen (Jeans) sondern Stoffhosen
    - Hemd in Hose stecken
    - Keine dunklen Hemden
    - Keine Hemden mit Brusttaschen
    - bitte gebügelt
    - Krawatte nur bei Sakko
also da sind einige schlimme Sachen dabei...

Lovely singing, awful pronunciation! Not their fault; but they should have been advised better. The song sounds best using dialect pronunciation - 'my' becomes 'ma', NEVER 'me'; the 'o' is a simple open vowel, not a diphthong, and the last verse is a nonsense. It should go: 'The wee birdies sing and the wild flooers spring and in sunshine the waters are sleepin', but the broken herted ken nae second spring again, though the waefu may cease fae their greetin'. At least they got 'Heelan' right!

If you look in the description, I don't even think English is their first language, ease up. Also, there are many lyric variations to the song and many of them are on the last verse so they probably didn't even know that it wasn't the original.

Just beautiful. BTW: They are from Austria. So German is their first language. Greetz from Gmunden.
