three important offroad rules. 1) put it in 4x4 before you think you need it. 2) air down your tires before you think you need to. 3) use low range only as a last resort when in soft sand or soil as POWER can be your enemy if you don't have a hard surface below the soft stuff as you will only dig yourself deeper. get some maxtrax boards and a good tire guage as they are a lifesaver
In one of his videos, he said the front drive isn't working ( I don't know how long ago that was, though - maybe it's fixed now - but, if it is, you'd think he would have used it )
Hey Ethan! A great story this week. The sunset views were fabulous. I love your attitude. Glad to hear it’s *only* anxiety. As a former RVer I suggest you get a shovel, a trowel (like used in gardening), some of those traction boards, and maybe some cheap racks (from Amazon) for dishes, glasses, etc. so things don’t shake, fall over, or fall out of cabinets. AZ is a beautiful state. Loving all of your adventures! -G
I am so glad that everything turned out to be okay with your heart. And it's very impressive that, despite your anxiety, you face these new challenges every day.
It's not obvious that he has anxiety issues. He seems calm and relaxed 99.99% of the time. Maybe it's dealing with all the issues of camper living and I thought that was a carefree existence since no lawn to mow, small space to keep clean, etc. I hope he has accepted the great fact that he is Gay and doesn't fight that anymore. Wow! Just started thundering and lightning and pouring rain here in upper SC about 50 M S of Charlotte.
Weeeellllll...if interesting things didn't happen, you wouldn't have interesting content, right?? Ha ha! Imagine how you're building your character! Sometimes when I'm watching, I recall the cute, quirky kid you were when you first started. How far you've come, yet you still have that charm and quirkiness! Just want to say I ADORE Peaches! No dog ever replaces another...Millie will always be your girl...but I'm so glad you have another furry friend to keep you company. As always, great work, lovely to see you and follow your exciting life! 💖💖💖💖💖
Seems there's always challenges but you always keep a cool head and overcome the obstacles. Glad to hear that your heart's OK and also happy to see how Peaches had adapted to traveling. She reminds me of Millie in so many ways.
Loving your positivity, as always, Ethan. Every great adventure will have ups and downs. Getting stuck in the sand is OK, but OMG, those bananas attacking your flowers, that’s not cool! Best of all, we now know your health is great and that’s the most important thing ❤️
Ethan, please have your exhaust inspected. Video at 5:50 shows the output of your muffler. There may be a void that needs repair. Safety first! I am sorry you are having a bad Karma week. Walk a little old lady across the street. Or visit someone who is down. Godspeed.
Yes so do i..Have had Bipolar for about 30 years..life is very hard sometimes..i cant work anymore as it was too much for me. The Deptession and Anxiety are something no one would understand unless you suffer it yourself. Medication dosnt seem to work for me anymore..just try to get through dasy to day..tale care.
@@ivanreed-qj7uz Have been dealing with depression since I was seven, of course, at that age I had no word for what was bothering me. Anyway, generic Prozac has helped me a lot. I assume you have tried that. Hope you and @kirkfeatherstone6944 find a way to deal with that and be happier.
For anxiety, usually Magnesium + B6 supplement helps. Also vitamin D supplement helps. Brewery yeast helps too by adding the B vitamins. Sometimes calcium helps. Bananas help. Heart issues can be caused by anemia, thyroid issues, nerve issues (sclerosis multiplex, tetania), etc.
Ethan I don’t know you personally but I worry about you but you seem to handle every situation. I would love to see one video from you where you don’t have a bad situation 😃! Take care of yourself!
You make me smile. All things you have done, problems you have and get through, such an amazing and exceptionally talented guy. Great looking and youre very easy to listen to and watch. Keep going and being you. We all enjoy.❤
Hey. Even though you are stressed out, you seem to stay on a pretty even scale. Oh. Just a thought. When disposing of trash in those parking lot cans with little doors, remember that most of the lids are on hinges and lift up easily, making trash disposal easier and quicker 😂
As someone who's done a lot of backroad travel, may I make a recommendation? First of all, get some doormats thick door mats. Make sure you park evenly on those secondly, carry a large bag of clay cat litter. That'll solve a lot of problems. Hope this works for you
Anxiety!!! Not fun, so you want to do these videos carefully for fun and at low risk, with safety first. You've also mentioned panic attacks, so do things that don't raise anxiety too high and relax more. Because we want to keep watching you having fun and making it look easy. Take care, you're a great guy.
Getting stuck in the sand - or anywhere else -is stressful, yet you also were in control enough to bring us along (videoing) the event. Your adventures and misadventures, bring out your sense of humor, (or borderline panic?) which is fun and entertaining. Remember, there was no blood, no accident paper work, just a lot of dirt, you had good news at doctor, introduced us to a new in city park/camp spot, shared a few moments of self-care ;) and such a lovely view it is (for us - lol).... think it kinda balances out. As always, best wishes in all your adventures.
Thank you for saying you check with management before staying at Cracker barrel. So many other RUclipsrs don't mention this and I have never had a manager of a retail store/ restaurant deny me to stay for a night. Most all thank that I ask !!!!❤❤❤
So Ethan...you know those "blocks" you put under your tires to level your truck? They are called TRAX Boards. They are made to shove under your tires when you get stuck to give you a solid surface to drive out of the hole. So you'll know next time.
Great video Ethan. By sharing your mishaps and successes you help us have more enjoyable camping adventures. Get a small foldable camping shovel and save your hands. There is often broken glass hidden in the sand along the roads in that area of the U.S. 😊
Well you had a Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day. I am glad that your heart is all good. Give Peaches some belly rubs for me. Keep having fun Ethan.
I'm willing to bet that all of these things you face on your travels actually help you with your anxiety. You're a great story teller! Keep them coming.
Could you replace your levelling blocks with a set of those traction boards. If you can catch the wheelspin early enough, ive seen people rock a vehicle using a tiny bit of reverse then forward. Glad you had a friend nearby to help out 😊
I really get inspiration by seeing your resilience. And you are probably right to say that most people have generalized anxiety disorder to some extent. I am probably an example, and truly am inspired by how you handle it.
I traveled Arizona years ago. It is absolutely beautiful. I didn’t have a camper. I stayed in various hotels. Doing what you do by yourself is really brave. Please keep making videos. Thank you. 🙏

Glad Dr's appointment revealed NO heart ❤ issues, (better to have that checked off), but anxiety-related (asthma doesn't help ... I have that, but always make sure you have backup 'puffer'). Hope you get a pair of traction boards for next time your wheels get stuck. Some are sturdy enough to use a 'levelers'.
Hey Ethan, beautiful footage of the Arizona desert! Gòod thing the doctor put your mind at ease with his prognosis of your symptoms dealing with your anxiety attacks. Does it take long to edit your YT videos? Keep up the awesome work you put in bringing us your videos.🎉❤😊
The sunrise and sunsets of Phoenix are literally my favorite. Papago Park has a rock with a viewpoint. I haven't been yet, but hope to when I go to Phoenix again. :)
Omg! If I was driving your truck, I would have so much anxiety 😢. You are a super good driver. N cute too 😊😋😉. I love your dog!!! Keep making videos. Happy New Years!!!! 🎉 hug’s! 🙏🏻 insinuations when you get stuck. it’s best to stay calm. You’ll be be fine 😉. It’s good that you have friends that will back you up. Thank you for sharing your travels. I love the beautiful nature views.
Noted. Traction thingies and all-wheel drive. Got it. (Maxtrax? I'll look it up.) Also, thank you for supporting cancer research. It was due to fairly recent research at the time that I managed to survive cancer (and the aggressive chemotherapy). My beloved aunt died of metastatic breast cancer only a year before therapy that might have prolonged her life significantly became generally available. Research performed saved lives, and the sooner, the better.
Consider picking up one of those small folding shovels, they are handy for many things, especially for digging out when stuck. As well as building your Camp Fire.
Happy birthday Ethan 🎂 that was pretty nice that lady brought you some food and the view of the fog in the mountains was beautiful I envy you seeing all the beautiful sites you are seeing and thanks for sharing your adventures with us till next time be safe and take care ❣️🤠
Ethan, use your 4x4 drive, make sure the front hubs are in "Auto" and just leave them there, it won't hurt it to stay locked in, then just engage the system from the cab. You are better to turn on anytime to you think you may need it then to wait until your stuck and then try to use it to get out, an power is your friend, your truck has lots of power, but if you are spinning your rear wheels you are just digging holes.
It may not be any consolation, but I had a similar experience two days ago. 1:00 am after a heavy snowstorm, I hear the plow man across the road at my neighbour's. I see he's almost done, but rather than wait for him to do a primary swath that would give me clear passage while he does the rest of the driveway, I decide to plow through the snow at the end of the drive, and in the process, manage to put my front end deep in the ditch. I spend an hour trying to dig my way out, much like you, but in snow - and to no avail. Fortunately next morning, neighbours helped to push me out. The good news: we are lucky to have good friends/neighbours who provide unsolicited help. The bad news: I'm 79 and still doing stupid things.
The unexpected mountains behind the hill were just spectacular. Wow. Really glad you saw them and the colors of the place are something to take in. The rabbits were a cool surprise , too. Thanks for noticing them. Each time a challenge occurs, you figure it out and you always will. The great thing is tat you do it solo, and of course these are new things each time, so it's a learning curve. Take stock in the knowledge that you are always able to get through it. When something comes up, take a few minutes to focus, but in a calm, zen way. You'll be less stressed as you get better at the game, but do a "I've got this even though I don't know how" inner look before you tackle it. "Ive got this."
Sorry to hear that Milly is left you and went over the Rainbow, she was such a cute dog. But you found another dog and that is the sweet Peaches !!!! Love all your videos and they are so nice to watch. Love from The Netherlands.
Love your positivity but had to chuckle at your response to getting stuck in the sand. "Yep, that's me, stuck on the side of the f**king highway." That was funny Ethan.
Ethan , might be an idea to get a small foldable shovel and some skid plates like your buddy had , sand can be a pain if you get stuck or have no traction.....maybe get a winch fitted on your front bumper when you've got some spare cash
Enjoyed your latest video. Yeah, it's been cold here in Phoenix the last week. It should start warming up next week. A great campsite you should check out is Sycamore Creek. Also, you can stay at Copper Cactus outside Phoenix. They'll let you camp in your camper on property and they have nice ammenities for you (i.e. hot tub, outdoor shower). Bob and Rich are the owners and are super nice.
Dude, you have the whitest teeth 😍 Love the "London, England" sweatshirt. So sorry to hear about your friend Millie. Sorry if spelling is wrong. "Anxiety?" Not a cool thing considering getting stuck, and stuff like that. But having Peaches I'm guessing is very comforting and no doubt a great medicine for anxiety. Thank you sharing with us your adventures. 😎
It's crazy how when someone suffers from Anxiety people just say, "awe, it's okay just get over it" "Breath" "Just say fuck it" that one came from a DOCTOR!!!! Please, when anxiety hits, it hits hard!!! I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this. You seem like a level headed man. Hopefully, you're able to get meds that will help you through. This anxiety issue with you changes everything. I feel closer to you than ever!!!! My son and I both have to deal with this. It's no fun at all. Ethan, your videos help me. In more ways than you'll ever know. I don't have a lot of money right now, but soon...I'll cash app you some momey so you can continue making videos for all of us who appreciate what you do. I love you man. I really do. Hello from beautiful Tulsa, OK
Hi Ethan a couple suggestions for. One is a small foldable shovel like they used in WWII to dig foxhole. They are small, light weight and would come in handy if you get stuck again. The other suggestion is a come along. It's a small winch that you could use to help pull yoursel out of jams. They are pretty small and light weight too. I know space is at a premium in a camper set up. Good luck and Happy New Year!
Just watched your espisode responding to viewer comments......MY POV having stumbled upon your show unexpectedly. I HONESTLY think you have an understated CHARM and find you AMUSING AF without trying to be. YOUR channel at LEAST HAS CONTENT I enjoy, where as 60 % of channels just show a body part and I'm LIKE OK.... NOW WHAT.... The Fact that you're traveleing and sharing your experiences is ALOT more than what 1/2 the young adults your age are doing. YOUR SOUL and Character are EVOLVING beyond belief as well as self-reliance, that my FRIEND is VERY Inspiring and ATTRACTIVE!! Keep it UP... I absolutely love your VIDEOS!
Dealing with anxiety sucks. I used to worry about everything. A couple of things I learned to do was expect things to work out in the process of doing things. I was worrying about what might happen and quite often it didn't happen so I worried for nothing. When something happened and it at first seemed overwhelming I got the attitude to say I wonder how I'm going to get out of this problem. I was a truck driver for over 40 years so I am sure I had my share of mishaps. On one of my very first trips I went to Memphis TN. I didn't know where the terminal was so I asked another driver. He thought it would be funny to give me bad directions. I got totally lost at 2 AM in the city. I stopped at a red light and this man got out of his car in front of me and asked if I was lost. He then had me follow him right to the terminal. Another time I was picking this special trailer up at Camp Pendelton in California. I even had a security escort. It was a Friday evening right at 5 PM. I broke down right in Camp Pendelton. Friday Night at 5 PM is actually the worst time for a trucker to break down. I called my company and they just happened to have another driver just a few miles away to retrieve the trailers the security guy was not delayed hardly at all. Then the security guy told me they had used a wrecker truck when they brought the trailer in because the guy bringing it in got stuck in the sand. I called the guy and believe it or not he was just coming up to the exit as we spoke so he towed me to a repair facility and he charged me only $147. I was expecting three times that much. Then I told the facility the repair should be covered under warranty and they said it wasn't so I had to come up with $3500. I got the money and finally got a load home where I talked to my truck dealer and he checked and it was covered under warranty and I got all my money back. Sometimes if I am really worried about something and I can't sleep I pray and give the problem to a higher power. I can not explain how that works but there are a lot of things that I do not understand but it does. The right people pop up out of nowhere or an unexpected check shows up in the mail. It has happened so many times it can't be a coincidence. Just make sure you are always trying to do the right thing and be a good person. That is kind of the key when it comes to divine help.
I have BPD with anxiety, so I can empathize with some of the physical manifestations. It can be a little scary. I'm glad everything turned out okay. I enjoy your channel very much.
I love all your vids, I think you are a very sweet guy and I love how adventurous you are. Stay safe, have fun and I hope some day you find the guy that you can share the rest of your life with
Love your stories handsome. Little tip you might already know. But if you get in the soft sand, then as soon as you feel wheelspin or the truck digging in,the stop and drop your tire presure to like 1.0 bar and you be driving out easy
Ethan, you're so fearless. I admire how you just take these predicaments in stride. I just drove from Wisconsin to Las Vegas and back and I was a bundle of nerves both ways. I was mostly on I-40 and 44.
Great video! I liked the sunset and mountain view! In Boy Scouts I had to buy a fold up shovel. That would be good for you, as you needed one today. Thanks for showing all the rabbits, too! I am so glad your heart health is good! Have fun!
Loved this vid with those amazing views. The crocs in the shower are perfect, I know exactly what you mean. It's great to hear how you support the cancer research ideal (currently dealing with chemo and immuno myself), this support and everyone else's will hopefully ensure a cure one day for all cancers, both in humans and animals. PS I think you need a fold up spade, easier on the hands.
Severe anxiety is not fun - I get the heart flutters & migraines & host stomach; that's why I moved out to the desert. Now that there's much less going on the anxiety is much better. I loved the "bananas molested the flowers" comment 😊
Your lifestyle is awesome. Very adventurous and free. Also I mean this in the sweetest way possible and as a compliment but you are one of the most beautiful looking guys I have ever seen. Breathtakingly so. Carry on being you. 👍
Arizona be like pretty and stuff! Its ALWAYS good to OUT!🙌 TOTALLY get you on people not wearing shower shoes! SO GROSS! What's the story morning glory with that " London England " hoodie? I love Peaches but I do miss Millie! STILL loving the haircut. 🎉. HAPPY 2024!
Not long ago, I also got stuck with my car in a mud field, and only a tractor could tow me out, so I can relate a lot to what happened to you. Thankfully, there are good people willing to help in desperate times.
Thnx for sharing, and indeed one of these days....... I probably would panic when my car would be burried in the sand like that. This summer, going up for a nice hike, I parked my (normal) car on a hill in the Picos in Spain which appeared to be so slippery that I could not drive back, and moving forward would mean sliding downhil and crashing onto several cars parked in front of me. A nice man with a 4x4 truck towed me out of my misery, so grateful for that! Take care and hopefully/sure that the next days will be much better!
Hey, you said you're leaving the Phoenix area 😕 just watched your Papago park segment, very unique for a city park, hope you know you're right across the street from the Phoenix zoo (one of the better, more laidback, zoos) and also the really unique Desert Botanical Garden. Would be a shame if you left the area without visiting my town, just about a half hour east at the far end of "the valley", the truly awesome Superstition Mountains. Great camping, cool Goldfield Ghost Town and Tortilla Flats. BTW you talk about coyotes, more fearful at this time of year are rattlesnakes, some are huge, watch Peaches on hikes please, she doesn't know the danger.
As you keep being reminded Stress triggers can be anywhere and usually they are. A couple of deep breaths can be restorative and calming. You seem to really have that pretty much under control. I love the views you have been able to enjoy and share. 🤗
Ethan I lived in Sierra Vista about 2 hrs south Phoenix they had a lot of camp grounds I'm surprised they don't have any in Phoenix there's got to be great places there and truck stops with showers sorry u got stuck it sucks r u traveling alone if so be careful tell peaches I said hi and yes the sunsets are amazing in Az surprise it gets cold there crazy to me thxs for sharing love ❤️ u
Things to have in back road situations. Shovel, traction boards ( this can be ply wood with small boards attached across) 12 volt air compressor. Air down tires a little for sand. Use compressor to air tires up again. I realize your vehicle is heavy but every bit helps. I enjoy the videos and hope you stay safe.
One thing about you, is that you are not afraid to try out new adventures. You're an inspiration.
Must say you're so lucky to have peaches the dog

Lowes and Home Depot sell small shovels that can fit just about anywhere in your truck/home. Beats digging with your hands.😁
Happy birthday Ethan 🎂 that was pretty nice that lady brought you some food and the view of the fog in the mountains was beautiful I envy you seeing all the beautiful sites you are seeing and thanks for sharing your adventures with us till next time be safe and take care ❣️🤠
wrong video
Ethan, use your 4x4 drive, make sure the front hubs are in "Auto" and just leave them there, it won't hurt it to stay locked in, then just engage the system from the cab. You are better to turn on anytime to you think you may need it then to wait until your stuck and then try to use it to get out, an power is your friend, your truck has lots of power, but if you are spinning your rear wheels you are just digging holes.
I love how real you are and vulnerable. I always look forward to your vids. love ya Ethan! Stay Beautiful & Safe!
I'm glad your hearts ok
I m glad you are ok
So sorry you had a crap day. Hopefully you’ll have a extra exceptional day coming to make up for it!!!
I have nothing but respect for you Ethan!
I'm glad your heart is healthy. I'm sure the anxiety of worrying about your heart didn't help. Wishing you a really, really good day!
Hey Ethan. Sorry you got stuck in the sand.😢 Wish I could of helped you! Really looked cute digging the sand!❤❤❤ Be safe take care.
You are always so positive no matter what happens Thank you for sharing your adventures
Stay safe out there, Mr. and maybe you should try Canada... You could check out Northern Ontario... Nice area... (in the summer).
Huzzah for the marston matting! You might want to get a few pieces of that to keep on your camper yourself.
I'm glad your heart checked out ok.
You handled it all well so don’t feel to bad, plus just remember sh** happens and you just need to take breath and move on. 😊
Sweet boy, your awesome ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤I wish you much better luck in the future, glad your Dr. appointment went well YUM YUM LOVE IT WHEN YOUR SHIRTLESS
Really helpful that you share scary challenges with your subscribers!
You're very ingenuous out there when things happen! Loved the sunset for sure!
You made it through Ethan. You are doing it every day. Keep the right mindset and attitude. I do watch your videos even if I do not say much often.
You were right under the final approach for Phoenix sky Harbor that’s where I learned to fly.
Ohhhh the drama. LOL You never give up, E, and I so respect that!
