It has always been Sway Tower , I have lived near it all my life , first went up it sixty years ago. It was built by Andrew Peterson in the 1880s , there are two smaller towers nearby.
Not sure if now sold but has been on the market fora long time. Being a listed structure could be a costly purchase, I imagine just to have a survey will cost several thousand pounds.
@@bugattieb110ss Whilst you on the other hand are the font of all knowledge, why was it not called Sway Tower, that would have been a more accurate description.
It could be called Peterson's Folly or Tower. But because it is close to the town of Sway, it is called the Tower Sway. It may well sway a cm in stronger wind. But I try to be as accurate in the description of the places I film.
Consider putting a comma between the words 'Tower' and 'Sway' in your title. Victorian Folly Tower, Sway would be better. It helps all those uninformed people who expect something else.
this towers construction, revolutionised the construction of buildings world wide

Wow! Really marvelous flying and place. Great filming. Thank you 👍💚🎶💯
Sway is the name of a village in the New Forest, near Lymington, in Hampshire County, England, where this tower is located.
I came across this tower years ago while driving the new forest, looks totally out of place but is amazing to see❤❤❤
Oh, I've seen that many times from the train, but never known what, if anything, it was for
Advert from the Hampshire Times, 1878. 'Hod carriers wanted for forthcoming project.......'
Built for the same reason as McCaig's tower in Oban.
Just when you think you've seen everything ! ❤
Great flight. ☘☘☘

wow i am impressed ,
Did have a purpose or was it a project to help the unemployed at the time
Think it was built to demonstrate/showcase the potential for building with concrete.
This is click bait, I like others was expecting to see some kind of building sway, nice video but please try to be honest in your description.
That's because you're ignorant! Sway is a place in the New Forest.

🙃 Sway is the name of the place

I have to agree. Clicked on a video the other day, "Throbbing, Gushing Tower", but it was just the name of the forest it was in.
It didn't sway 😥
It probably sways centermeters in a strong wind. But I think the name Sway is the town close by.

It’s called punctuation, sadly lacking in education. Thank you.
I will take on any punctuation that helps describe the place of interest.
To be charitable, the producer possibly has English as a second language.
