  • This 4x4 track is only 1.5hrs from Brisbane in the beautiful Southern Downs region outside Killarney. Our Y62 Nissan Patrol had no trouble on these easy 4WD tracks and we were accompanied by a Hilux, 200 Series Land Cruiser and Ford Ranger.
These are easy 4wd tracks near Brisbane with stunning views and incredible scenery. We finish up the day with the short 40min hike to Queen Mary Falls. Queen Mary Falls is an easy Grade 3 hike and it only takes 40 minutes return from the carpark but there are no dogs allowed.

Thanks @themethtrix the message gets lost among the click bait unfortunately. I don’t really care as long as those who respect the planet do the right thing and don’t compromise the tracks for the rest of us.

Nice, we were out that way over Easter too, tried to do the gorge rd but signs said it was closed due to flooding.

Yeah I heard. Not surprising considering all the rain in the lead up.

i drove from bunah ipswich to queen marrry falls, through falls drive a month or os ago. It was a soggy ,wet day and very foggy. gr8 place, but you are right. it is good for a parttime or full time 4wd vehicle.

You likely would have driven through White swamp which is stunning up there once you hit the highlands

Great vid!! I went out Gambubal Rd once before on my bike and came across a few of those farm biosecurity signs, wasn't sure if it was ok to continue along the road or not so turned back. Regret that now seeing how great that road is. Did you call the number on the sign, assuming they were still there? Any issue driving through?

Not at all. We didn’t leave the road and weren’t carrying any bio security risk. It’s a public road but we respect the signs.

What a gorgeous drive, views look amazing. What's the name of the roads to get to the ridgeline track above the gorge? typed in gambel road in google maps and nothing comes up?

It’s Gambubal Road not Gambel. Give that a go
