- We're an Aussie family of 4 doing our best to make ends meet with the rising costs of living. See how we had a frugal fun day on the school holidays out in nature bushwalking in South East Queensland, Australia chasing waterfalls and having a picnic at Queen Mary Falls in Main Range National Park. I also show you beautiful Daggs Falls on the Southern Downs. Join me on a bushwalk and listen to the birds. See what food I bring from my recent food bank hauls and grocery shopping to eat and native wildlife like Australian Eastern Water Dragons, Satin Bowerbirds and King Parrots too!

Glad you all had a wonderful day out, the falls and wildlife are beautiful. I love seeing the parrots, always a favourite of mine when I visit Australia, I will say seagulls here are bad for stealing food, but they are not a patch on a Cockie after your chips. It's nice to see people enjoying what nature has to offer without having to spend lots of money. Enjoy your week. X

I did try to keep you all in mind when I went about making and editing the the video as I know not everyone may have the opportunity to travel here or see such sights… and I wanted to try make it seem like you were there with me going on the bushwalk and seeing the waterfalls too. It is such a lovely peaceful place when you're there in person.
Thanks I hope we get some more rain soon too, it really is a worry. Normally the moss on those rocks I showed in the video is lush, soft and green not dry😟and the grass as well. The waterfalls when we've had more rain look even more spectacular too!

Thanks so much Mary😊 Glad you enjoyed the walk. The sound of the waterfalls is lovely to hear isn't it?! Feeding the beautiful parrots is always so fun, my kids especially love it! They're wild birds but used to being feed... so they fly down out of the trees and sit on your arms, hands or even head!
we used to do that with my family growing up here in united states america we called them tail gate picnics

That was sooo much fun!! Where I live we have to drive at least a hundred miles to see a waterfall. I especially liked seeing the birds. They're so pretty and how cool to be able to feed the parrots! That's the kind of picnic I like, where you take a little of everything. The Cranberry sauce with cheese on crackers sounded delish!😁

@@makingendsmeet yes we love and appreciate the beautiful outdoors. My sister actually has a degree in music education and is classically train in piano and violin. We grew up visiting the National Parks and it’s in our DNA. I love watching tv shows and movies about Australia. The birds you have there have such beautiful voices

Brilliant to see some of the big outdoors. My mum lived in SA, so I was more used to seeing roos and galahs when I visited. I love the lizards and the beautiful birds.

You are a kindred spirit. I have so much Tupperware. I love it and think it's a great product. I've had many of my pieces for years and I've had a few replaced. Unfortunately, Tupperware has become so pricey that most people who are just starting out can't afford it. My family teases me because I'm a Tupperware snob! Looks like a great family day. 😊
Oh thank you Karen! We had a lovely day. Yes those Tupperware bowl sets were a gift from my grandmother many years ago and are probably classed as 'vintage' now... but they're still going strong (and get used all the time), they're so handy. They're a good example of how a quality product can last the test of time. Buying new Tupperware is definitely not in the budget at the moment!
I hate to be a downer but Tupperware in the US is going either bankrupt or at least closing down (probably). Saw it in the news last week. I would love to buy one more piece but cannot it and evidently no one else can either. We have one rectangular box my husband's mom gave him. Back then ice cream came in a rectangular heavy paper container. To keep it fresh you transferred it to the Tupperware container. We've had it for 34 years! So treasure every piece of your Tupperware, and I hope your's last as long.
I just got 2 replacement lids and had a bowl replaced this week. I know the company isn't doing well. I wish they had not priced themselves out of the market. If they were more reasonable and put product in some stores and on line, they might do better. But they are an amazing product and I have never found anything better. And the warranty is top notch!

Thanks my friend, it was all very tasty! Yes the bushwalk we did was the Queen Mary Falls circuit, which is a 2km circuit, taking about 40 minutes.

Thanks Gloria😊💕 The waterfalls are lovely aren't they, even more stunning when we've had some rain... and best still this type of park doesn't charge you any expensive entrance fees like theme parks!

Thanks so much my friend. Yes it was the perfect weather for a picnic that day and the native wildlife was all very agreeable to get on camera! There is snakes there, but luckily we didn't see any!
