I love how the most talented band in this whole genre doesn't even try to take their music video seriously and more important doesn't try to come off as cool in order to appeal to a massive crowd, they really let their music do the talking so to speak, this band is amazing even without the nostalgia goggles. Vocally, instrumentally, and songwriting abilities well above the average band
Good point.. this band was always great because they had a group dynamic. jonny fit with them. but he fit well with emarosa too. it's all relevant.

@@DANKKrish imo Tillian did fine. I'm not the biggest fan of the high voice but he can no doubt sing like a mfer. There are some great songs out of his catalogue (I haven't listened to all of them). However, his style brought more funk out of the band which was cool, but I miss this raw, aggressive style and I'm hoping they go back to it soon

Ana Verdesca This is their best album! Its absolutely insane start to finish. Will Swan fully unleashes as the true composer he can be. I feel like with his new shit he holds back a lot more so they sound more catchy.
Nick Coamey if how good you rate a DGD album is based on how much they hold back, or don't to be more exact, DMB II is a clear winner.

I loved the Kurt era but I was equally devastated when they replaced Johnny after DBM2 because that whole album was such a banger but I grew to love Tilian

As much as I am excited that Jonny is back in DGD, I wish Kurt was respected. The way he was just tossed aside like he was nothing at all to them. He's such a humble and down to Earth guy. He deserves so much more respect. I can't wait for his solo album and new band with Zach Garren and co.

You're right. They do have a similar tone, but it seems like Sonny was working more out of his range. It feels like Kurt def has more control. I think his natural range is a bit higher. Sonny was really forcing his notes a lot it seemed and then fried his voice.
