A few years ago when I was a truck driver. When I was running by the house my precious wife would make me a bacon egg and cheese on toast to go. I would call them a kiss an go. Didn't have time to really stop for much more than a hug, a kiss an go. She's in heaven now this brings back memories. Love y'all.
Your precious memory touched my heart. Thank you for sharing.
What a very sweet and precious memory. May God bless you with many more wonderful memories.♥️
Oh, what a sweet story Robert! You will see her in heaven one day! Praise the Lord for Jesus and our hope in eternal life!
So sweet💖🙏
Now I’ll try it for sure and think of your wife ☀️
So it’s midnight and I’m getting up out of bed and cooking a egg sandwich
I want to drop a note to you all. I really enjoy your videos. It's such a wholesome break from all the stressful things in life. Good on you folks!
Thank you so much!
This brings back wonderful memories from my grandmother. She's the only one in my life who would make egg sandwiches, and introduced them to me when I was a married woman! She made them almost the same way, and I learned very early to butter the bread all the way to the edges. I eat it with mayonnaise, but my dad would always have jelly! Loved this video!
Love this ! My Grandmother gave me her small cast iron skillet before she passed away. She always called it her Egg skillet. What memories.
Thanks Chris & Tammy... 💕
@@ruthferguson8835 What sweet memories.
My Dad had jelly on his too...I love hot sauce or Salsa with mine with a squirt of ketchup ....
I like mine with grape jelly and alittle hot sauce. Pretty tasty.

Jelly on an egg sandwich isn't weird, It's very close to a Monte Cristo, just add a slice of ham. Also, to make sure the cheese is melted, I'd put the cheese on top of the eggs as soon as they are done cooking.
Can’t really say I fancy jelly on a cheese sandwich.
I am a professional egg sandwich eater. I grew up eating egg sandwiches, got egg sandwiches sent in my lunch bucket to school, I took them to work and still eat egg sandwiches at least twice a week. Eggs are a cheap and tasty meal. I usually just use bread, buttered with 2 eggs fried flat with salt and pepper. Occasionally I might put some catsup on them but they are one of my favorites to this day. We raised chickens at home and always had a fresh loaf of bread. Now days I mostly buy my bread and eggs. 😁 Your egg sandwich looks good.
Can I ask you how old you are? Keywords lunch bucket and catsup. Only my grandma used those words and she would have been 90 this year. No offense, it just made me think of how much I love her, so thank you ❤️
I'm in my 50s. I still call it catsup. I forget to use the modern word for it. I get puzzled looks at fast food restaurants when I request catsup. So I then say 'tomato catsup'. And the person replies, "Do you mean ketchup?" . .. Yes.
Gotta have cheese on them!
Tammy, it sure does matter buttering your bread ALL THE WAY TO THE EDGE !!! So many people don't and I just think that is that is wrong. I'm almost 70 and I loved egg sandwiches when I was a kid and I still do !! Thank you for sharing this.
I agree, same goes for grilled cheese sandwiches
I just love how most everyone thinks, “theirs,” regardless of what it is- food, decorating, children, husband, job…is the absolute best. Would be a sad world if we didn’t! Looks good.
I will be happy to sample all of the absolute bests and agree with every single one…lol
In WWII, my Dad was stationed in North Africa. He would talk about the lady who would make a fried egg sandwich. It was fast food. Every so often he would say, " I have to make a North African sandwich." He loved them.
So wonderful (bittersweet, really) to hear that someone else has issues with their cheeses in the newer refrigerator!
I thought it was my imagination!!
This brings back such great memories, my mom would make egg sandwiches. I’d give anything for one of her sandwiches today. 😢
Many decades ago my friends and I would usually wind up at my house, late-night, after an evening out for one of my famous egg sandwich snacks. It was a very quick version. It was a single piece of bread and one egg per sandwich for each of us three gals. Butter in the pan, three eggs with yolks broken as soon as they were in the pan. Pepper and onion salt. No other salt is needed. Flip eggs and rest a piece of bread on top of each flipped egg as it cooks. This was just enough to warm the bread and melt butter to spread more easily on the bread. I'd cook the eggs until quite browned. Each egg could be doubled over on a single folded piece of bread. No cheese or other items were added to this early version. Yum.
sounds great! I made omelet sandwiches.
My dads grandad was a big egg producer. I was raised on a fried egg sandwiches dad made them..Thank you for your recipe! Be well! Mom did put butter her on Melba slow drying toast with thin sliced bread. Thanks again ! You both are a joy!
Tammy, I have a fridge that does the same thing to my cheese! I moved where I keep my cheese. I purchased a plastic storage fridge set. Basically it's a long skinny clear tray with no lid. It's about as wide as a meatloaf pan and as long as probably 1-1/2 meatloaf pans. I put my cheese in there then I place it against the Fridge wall, pushed back into the corner so one long side and one short side is against the refrigerator wall. For some reason my fridge stays colder in that area on the right side. A lot colder, enough it half froze and wilted my lettuce one day. So the corner is the best place for my blocks of cheese and my fresh mozzarella. I also make sure each block is wrapped tight in a zip lock with all the air pressed out.
I hate these newer refrigerators too! Anything in the last 25 years sucks! Give me an old 70s Olive Green fridge any time lol
For the cheese- after opening, try this: take completely out of the plastic, wrap in parchment paper then plastic wrap to hold the parchment. This is how they keep cheese in France. After doing it this way, I’ve not had my cheese go moldy!
That's good advice, thanks. I also had a similar problem, and I dropped the temp of my refridgerator which helped a bit
I too had problems with mine getting mold so I moved it to one of the lower drawers. I have no idea why but it keeps there.
ded...i know. my mother in law taught me that trick years ago. your cheese last a lot longer...
Will try this idea...sounds good.
They look delicious! My Mom would make egg sandwiches with lettuce, tomato and salad dressing on both sides or open faced on buttered toast. Yummers!
I used to make ham & egg sandwiches for my husband & myself on Saturdays because we were off and we could just relax. My husband would make fried potatoes with onions, he could make them better than I could. I peeled the potatoes and onions but he cooked them
I made the hot Ham & Cheese.
Love the potatoes with onions and sweet green pepper.
He had the fun part and you had the work! Lol At least you got to enjoy them after though!
I started to watch you make these sandwiches and it made me want them for lunch. I had to try them they looked so good, and they were. I wouldn't make them any other way ever again. Thank's for sharing. Delicious 😋
I love egg sandwiches. I’ve never baked the bread like this, but I fry it in the pan with lots of butter. A simple delicious sandwich that everyone should know how to make. I will have to try toasting the bread this way, it looks much easier!
My bf and I cooked in restaurants in the Pacific northwest back in the '90s.
I was a line cook, responsible for new dishes each night, at one job and a soup cook, responsible for crafting two soups from scratch each day, one of which had to be vegan. My mother is fascinated by international cuisine and had us cooking from childhood. So I found both these jobs interesting and I rarely used a recipe, and people in town liked the food.
My bf is from Ohio, son of a single mom who had no time for anything but working at the plant & trying to keep him & his brothers fed and in line. He was great at his job at the Cafe, following recipes and serving food, but when his bosses told him to come up with a lunch special, he found himself a little out of his comfort zone.
"Can I serve a fried egg sandwich?" he asked. "Sure," they said.
His is pretty much exactly yours, bacon optional vs jam...mayo definite!
EVERYONE LOVED IT. It was totally new to half the population and for the rest, it was perfectly prepared comfort food!
What a joy to introduce people to authentic American food.
You didn't introduce anything. It's a common sandwich. Get over it. We all need to stop eating this kind of crap. Then we wouldn't be such a fat country.
I make my egg sandwiches with an over easy egg , cheddar cheese melted on the egg, assembled on toast I pop the yolk on the toast then add bacon, jam ,ketchup , Tabasco sauce . Very messy but Soooo delicious 😋
This is EXACTLY how I have always made my egg sandwiches, including the blackberry preserves. I can't get enough blackberry preserves!
FYI: wrap your cheese in Press n Seal, it will keep a long time
I love Blackberry everything. I do have to have mayo on my sandwich. If I don't have softened butter, I use mayo. Tammy is so correct in making sure the butter covers the whole slice of bread. My mother never used a toaster. Grew up with our bread being toasted in the oven. I don't even own a toaster today and I am going to be 67 years old. If I am going to have the calories, my food is going to taste as best as possible. Taking time to do the extra steps is worth it no matter what you are cooking. I am an avid camper and other campers will come to my site just to have my toast cooked in a skillet over a fire. Been camping at the same campground since 07 so there are a lot of the same people. Also lived there for 2 1/2 years in a 38 foot camper. One more thing, I have to have good crispy bacon with my egg and cheese sandwich. For me, it is not complete without it. Have a great day from one southern cook to another. I was raised in Alabama.
Love egg sandwiches. I put peppers and onions sautéed in olive oil with a hint of garlic on mine. I also make them with avacado and everything bagel seasoning.
I love watching you and living vicariously through you. I had to stop eating fat and animal products many years ago because of health reasons, so now I binge watch you guys, and it kinda hits the spot:) Not the same, but still enjoyable. My grandma taught me to cook just like you do.
CollardValleyCooks you need you a butter bell. It keeps the butter in an air-tight container at room temp so it is spreadable. I am the same way with garlic bread. The butter must be edge to edge! My step daughter (who is a terrific cook)told me one time that the thing I cook that she misses most, since getting married and setting up her own home, is garlic bread.
Thank you guys for being there for us! We love you.
I love her voice. Just hearing it makes me believe that her egg sandwich is the best.
Growing up in the Deep South, an egg sandwich was always scrambled. This way, the fat and flavor of the yellow was distributed throughout the entire sandwich.
I hear you girl!
You don't have to be southern to eat scrambled egg sandwiches. My egg sandwiches always had a small amount of cooked onions on top, too! Maybe that's a northern thing! lol.
My grandmother put chopped black olives in my egg sammich..in the 1960s.
When I was first married, MANY years ago we didn't have a toaster so I would make toast on the stove on the griddle. Applying a very light coat of butter on both sides to grill it. It was the best toast. Also, I don't mind eating things the non- conventional /traditional way either. I put mayo on my cold peas. My grandson puts maple syrup on his ham, my husband puts his cake in a bowl and pours cold milk on it. The egg sandwich is definitely something Pops WILL eat.Thank you!
Cake? in a bowl? with milk?
🎂🍶💡💡GENIOUS!!! I've got to try it! 👍😄😃
@@annabelles1622 Yep, he sure does. I just turn my head and think ... I have leave now, I can't watch... but then again he says yuck when I'm eating apples or peas with Mayo on them.
I can't wait to try Mayo on some cold peas!
Fridge Cold with side potato chips
Pea salad is a sumer Fav .
Many years ago when I was a Bride, I threw the following "Green Pea Salad" together. It's been a staple going on the third generation now. One can is serving for two. :-)
1 can tiny Green Peas, like LeSeur or Green Giant, drained, covered & refrigerated until cold.
1 - 2 teaspoons dried minced Onions, to taste. I use McCormick's. Optional to rehydrate in 1 Tbsp. boiling hot water, & drain.
1 Tablespoon of Mayo.
Salt & Ground Black Pepper to taste.
Mix all ingredients gently. Let sit a few mins. for flavors to combine. Or make ahead & refrigerate covered overnight. Stir gently before serving.
This is one of my family's favorite vegetable sides. Other optional ingredients can alter it completely.
I have got to stop watching your videos in bed at night..Second night in a row now I’ve had to get up and go fix a midnight snack because your food looks sooo good…you fix excellent food..! ❤️❤️
Sorry!
I love strawberry jam on my egg sandwiches. Or even on cheese sandwiches. My mother did this sometimes, but I didn't know anyone else did it!
You need to move back to Massachusetts.
When I was in college Burger King opened up locally by the college. I can’t tell you how many whoopers I ate. Every college students has something they ate a lot of!
What I enjoy the most from your videos aside from great recipes, it feels like I am sitting in kitchen with you when you are cooking and we are just chatting as you create. Thank you!
OMGosh!! I thought I was a total weirdo!! I make an egg sandwich with heavily buttered toast, 1 scrambled egg, 1 thin slice of ham and strawberry jam!! I love it this way! I'm going to try your recipe now, I think you're right about toasting in the oven, I bet it'll be even better! Thank you! 💕💕💕
When I was young I didn't have a way to make toast except to butter bread & toast it in an iron skillet on top of stove. I love it that way!! Either for toast & jam or cheese sandwiches!! I love egg sandwiches, the outside buttered when toasting,& mayonnaise or miracle whip on inside with tomatoes when putting it together!! With black pepper!! One year I had few tomato plants that really produced so would go home for lunch, make egg & fresh homegrown tomato sandwiches!! Then maybe one for supper even!!
My dad and I would have a "runny" egg sandwish ! We liked the yellow to be thick but a little runny so when you bite into it is a burst of great flavour !!! He is gone now but I sometimes have one and think of him ! PS I'm in Cave Spring !!
Loved it that way.
I love your story of blackberries and being a kid. It’s amazing how foods can do that. Thank you from Columbus, Georgia!!
Why not make scrambled egg sandwiches? This is what I make!
Because it's called fried eggs sandwich
High school swim team, morning practice at 5:30 am. Dad would pick me up with an egg sandwich for breakfast to eat on way to school. Bacon, egg, mayo, dill pickle, made no difference if on toast or just bread. Great memories!
I make mine the same way. I always call it "over hard" and I put cheese on top in the pan and it melts fast with a lid on it. Spread on the jam and it's wonderful!
Life is all about the simple pleasures. Thank you, Tammy & Chris !
Tammy, I've been watching you for a while now and felt like you were just a lady with a few decent recipes, but when you looked at that egg and said what you said, it was at that moment I knew that you were a certified, world class, slap ya' mama, down home, mmm mmm good, lawd ham mercy, gifted cook! I love your videos. You remind me so much of Phyllis Stokes (R.I.P.) another great RUclipsr.
Yeah, we all miss Phyllis don't we? Thank God and RUclips we can still watch her videos. Quite a lady, just like our Tammy here, so much to share, and they're so good at it.
Thanks Tammy and Chris, wonder if y'all know how you touch everyone's life?
Indeed. I loved Phyllis Stokes and her dear Buddy.
I loved Phyllis also
Wyld Stylz, I just love Ms. Phyllis! I love Tammy too!
I liked Phyllis and her husband Bucky
I use my toaster oven most every day being by myself. I love them. This took me back to my roots in TN and we liked mayo on it too. My Mother always did toast in the oven...cinnamon toast! Yum.
I started watching this video this morning and had to make me and my husband one of these..OMG….So delicious. I used Dukes mayo this time but going to try the blackberry jelly next (my favorite). Thank y’all for making our Sunday breakfast delicious and special. Happy Sunday. Hope y’all have a blessed day and upcoming week. 🌞
Not sure what I was expecting but as an English person this was a most unusual egg sandwich! In England our egg sandwiches are made with chopped hard boiled eggs and aren’t toasted. They often have cress in them too. Thank you for the video.
This is more of a fried egg sarnie - something I will often have for supper in the evening - but I've never heard of putting plastic cheese and jam on one. To be honest it's kind of put me off fried egg sarnies [and I was planning on having a couple tomorrow as well]. But fried egg sarnies or a bacon and egg sarnie goes back for decades. The chopped hard boiled eggs and mayo is generally an egg mayo sandwich, and you often have chopped parsley in them as well. Makes a nice lunch.
@@ABC1701A in our USA, your sandwich is called an Egg salad sandwich (cold, already cooked and chopped egg)
You’re confusing egg salad sandwiches with fried egg sandwiches.
@@SJC49 no such thing as an egg salad sandwich in England. I suppose if you added lettuce and tomato with the chopped hard boiled egg you could call it an egg salad sandwich.
@@meeofcourse4152 We call it an egg salad sandwich here in Norway too. Chopped cold hard boiled egg mixed with mayo and sometimes also finely chopped bell pepper (I like the yellow one the best). Added to yummy bread (not really white toast bread, but quality bread, e.g. sour dough, so much better!) - soooo good! I haven’t had egg salad probably for about 10 years, as I have been plant based for at least 8 years now. But I should really try making a No Egg Salad using the Orgran egg substitute for cooking, which I really love. With the vegan mayo from Hellman’s, it would probably be really good… I just never thought of the possibility until now, so thanks for reminding me! :)
dear Tammy its 1130 pm on sat night and just returned home from a work holiday party. watched this half way and got in th kitchen and made 2 just the way you said and its the best I ever had. something about one side of bread being crisp and one soft amazing thank you
I know what I'm havin for breakfast in the mornin. Thanks for the video.
I just made this sandwich and I have to agree, it is the best fried egg sandwich I have ever eaten. I put my oven on 400 degrees and placed the bread in for 7 minutes. It was light golden at 6, but I like a richer color so I cooked it until the buttered top was golden brown and then left it in the oven turned off to keep warm while I finished the egg. I used american cheese slices and then wrapped the entire sandwich in aluminum foil and let it stand for a few minutes to let the magic happen. It did. The bread was still toasty but not too crisp, the cheese was ooey-gooey melty goodness and the egg was in the middle of it all. I could see adding some fried spam, bacon, sausage, or ham in this too for a heartier sandwich. As is, this is fabulous.
Awesome!
I believe it's the best egg sandwich, so strongly, I'm gonna make one right now with fresh baked bread🥰
Toast made in a broiler is the tastiest toast I ever ate. You have to put butter or margarine on the bread before you put it in the broiler.
I love your videos. You have a great presentation. I love how you hustle about and cook while you talk. You use your time well. You know how to cook and talk at the same time. A great gift! There are cooking videos that almost put me to sleep!!!
I love watching your cooking videos. Your personality is refreshing and your recipes reflect that caring ingredient which makes every dish special.
Never tried it with jelly. Mustard is my go too. Looks good!
I've never had jelly on my egg sandwiches before but I think I'd LOVE IT!
So cute. Simple foods, simple people, simply joyful.
I love butter, but for my bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, I used Miracle Whip. It really makes a difference. Yum! And, love my egg medium runny.
Cute story: When our youngest daughter was about 4 years old, we took her out to eat breakfast at a restaurant. When she ordered her egg, the waitress asked her how she wanted her egg cooked. She looked at her daddy sort of nonplussed, and said, "I want my egg over greasy." The waitress did a double take and my husband looked at her and said, "You heard her. She wants her egg over greasy." The waitress grinned and went off to the kitchen to have a good laugh with the cook probably. We wouldn't have spoiled our daughter's time for anything. She laughs about it now, but it was hard not to at least bust a grin when it happened.
My daughter, about the same age yours was, ordered her eggs "funny side up" LOL! She had grandkids of her own now.
@@sherrylewis9327 Yes, so does our daughter. She has two grandbabies and we, the great-grands are cock-a-hoop about both of them. I wonder how many other parents have "funny side up" egg stories? Thank you for the cute reply.
We've always made oven toast. It's just so much better. It's worth the wait.
It looks good Tammy. I wish people who YT or work in restaurants and food courts were taught how to butter bread/ toast properly. ( It drives my daughter & I NUTS!) I have even got so I won’t buy a sandwich when I am out because it usually has a thick gob of margarine in the middle of the bread as thick as cheese! EEEEW…. Now I love cheese but butter/ margarine gobbled in the middle is another thing altogether!!!,
You are exactly right, buttering to the edges does NOT use any more butter ( maybe less) as you spread it out to a thin even layer so it’s not as much as one would think!
BTW, did you know that once you open a vac sealed package of cheddar, etc., it will mood quicker if you touch it? When I open a new package I hold it on the outside of the plastic, cut off a chunk the size I need before grating or slicing it. Wrap the remainder up getting out as much air as possible and bag or double wrap it. It will not mold quite as quickly. If you aren’t going to use it up within a week or so, vac seal what’s left and put it back into the bottom of your fridge. That helps keep it fresh longer. Otherwise, grate and freeze what’s left. Hope this helps!
Restaurants do that, put a gob of butter in the middle ot the bread,, or give you a paper covered pat of butter to cover all your bread. They do the same thing with speghetti. They put a tablespoonfull of sauce in a big plate of bare pasta and expect you to think it is an acceptable plate of speghetti.
I’m going to try this, when my homemade sourdough bread comes out of the oven, this morning!
Yum homemade sourdough? Yum

I love a good egg sandwich!
I think the technique of buttering the bread to the edge makes a difference, as well as putting a little pressure on the bread and pressing the butter into the the top of the bread. This gives the bread a crispier texture.
Good videos - thanks for sharing!
Lol tab soda and a snickers bar for breakfast for me or a cinnamon bun on Fridays before payday it would. be tuna salad and some potato chips

Hi I live in Georgia just discovered this channel. The key to this recipe: BUTTER BUTTER BUTTER AND MORE BUTTER!!!
Looks delicious. Jam/jelly in an egg sandwich is a must have! That’s how mama made them.❤️
I melt the cheese on the egg when still in the pan, after the eggs are cooked.
Tammy, I totally agree! The bread alone can make or break a sandwich. New Years blessings from Birmingham ❄️
I'mnot even hungry but this vid made me drool ! Gunna try it. Thanx !
Talking about refrigerators today with a friend. It so hard to find new appliances to compare to the ones I had to replace. The sandwich looks delicious
I tried it right away! 😊 So good !! Thank you for sharing💝 I used Steak sauce with Swiss but would prefer the homemade blackberry jam…my favorite and also red raspberry! 🤤
This is totally off-topic, but I LOVE your kitchen!❤️🔥 From the open shelving, to the spice and utensil lined walls, to the old-school butcher block countertops, it looks like a functioning cook’s kitchen! You can tell some serious cooking goes down in that space!😂🥰❤️💕
I want you to know that I was watching this video at 2:30 in the morning, and this egg sandwich made me so hungry that I got out of bed and made myself one!!! Oh. My. Goodness. was it ever good! Thanks for the great recipe. Think I'll make an egg sandwich today!
And I thought I was weird for putting grape jam on egg sandwiches LOL! I like to make my own egg mcmuffins and the sweet/savory combination is really good. Btw I use jam instead of jelly because jam spreads a lot easier than jelly.
Jam is the only way jelly doesnt spread as smoothly in my opinion
I love grape jelly on eggs. Even though it’s sometimes Makes them a little green! It’s my Dr Suess breakfast!
Ooooo, I think that sounds good.
I like maple syrup on my egg sandwich
Hi Tammy, looks good! Will have to try- Could you show us how you make blackberry jam? Thank you! ❤

Hello!
Love your show! Cheese, put your cheese in a glass jar. This will keep fresh for weeks I use the old time Ball jar with metal lids. I also put my salads, fruit, vegetables, baby carrots ect. Keeps everything fresh. Enjoy from West Virginia! These jars look great in refrigerator. Nice conversation piece! God Bless!
The simplest daily foods around the world are the most beloved for a reason! 👍😍😎
I love egg sandwiches. I agree with Chris. I like mayo on my sandwiches. I do not like the egg to get the crusty brown on my egg. I eat eggs over medium most of the time. I prefer to not scramble my eggs but my husband wants his eggs scrambled 98 percent of the time so I end up with a scrambled egg most of the time just out of convenience. For scrambled eggs I eat them with ketchup.
I always make my toast 🧈 from edge to edge in the oven. My family thinks it's crazy. They'd just use the toaster, but they do enjoy them. I eat jelly or jam on my eggs sandwiches too, and I'm the only one. They all eat mayo or mustard on theirs. I'm going to make them watch this 😁

I love oven toast with my egg sandwich 🥪. It takes about 7-8 min.to cook in the oven. I prefer strawberry 🍓 natural spread. I like miracle whip too. You made me fix some while watching. Thank you beautiful ❤️. Yummy 😋🤤. Have a blessed day!
Oh, Tammy!! I was raised on blackberries. I had uncle's who lived on tenant tobacco farms in the 60s and early 70s. We went blackberry picking in a field somewhere there was fire ants. That's the two things I remember. Mommie made the best blackberry cobblers. I think there may be some quart jars with blackberries in the bottom of the chest freezer from the 1980s. Now, I try to find blackberry preserves from locals rather than store bought. In a pinch I will get preserves or jam from a major mfg. We went to a little produce store on our 30 years-in-the-making honeymoon. They had all kinds of jams, jellies and preserves, and a light colored honey. I had to get a jar of blackberry jam and a jar of that honey. I don't like the taste of dark colored honey, but show me a jar of a spring batch and I'm all in. I used to have a honey supplier who explained the difference between his dark and light and it has to do with the end of season he gathered the honey. I'm thinking the store bought dark honey may be due to it not being true raw honey.
Thanks for sharing this video...yes I agree 👍 this is how you make an egg sandwich with love...just like my momma used to do for me...Bless both of you and have a wonderful day!
I love that you spread the butter to the edges. It drives me nuts when people make sandwiches and only put in the middle. I like mustard and mayo on my egg sandwiches
Me too.
That is almost like eating an egg salad sandwich
My family and I LOVE Kraft Singles, YUMMY! They melt so well, they make the best grilled sandwiches :)
My Mom would do her toast like that and we called it oven toast. SO good!!
Oh my! I just had dinner 2 hours ago and now am craving an egg sandwich! Yummy! Thank you for sharing!
Hey Tammy, I have some Blackberry jam! I’ll try your egg sandwich with jelly/jam, if you try my favorite sandwich, which is peanut butter and pickles! Lol It’s so good! And I don’t eat anything gross really, but I had this at a cousin’s house as a kid, and it’s still my favorite. :) I just use creamy peanut butter, and put extra on when you’re doing it with pickles. Then I just cut baby dills in half, or leave them whole if they’re tiny, and cover the peanut butter, then add just a little peanut butter to the other slice of bread, and slap it together. lol Seriously, it’s really delicious, I promise! Haha 😂 God Bless!! 🙏🏼👍💗
Try your peanut butter sandwich with bread & butter pickles… yummy!
I love pb and pickle sandwiches 🥪
I was shown how good onion powder is on egged, omelets, fried eggs but especially egg sandwiches!
My first thought about the jam on the sandwich was *gag*. Then I remembered I like a turkey sandwich a local deli makes that has jellied cranberry sauce on it, and it's so yummy!
Oh, yes. I've found that spreading the cranberry sauce on my chicken salad sandwich is yummy!
My grandma taught me young that whatever is going on your bread, spread it all the way to the edge. 😊
