That is one of the nicest abandoned places I've seen. It's a shame they cannot give it to someone in need instead of leaving it to rot. I like the front door...and fireplace.
Claire Mahony Typical libtard, you're quick to volunteer to spend other people's money. But instead of putting your own money where your mouth is all you do is offer excuses. Fucking hypocrite.
+KiloByte69 ..... You have no idea ..... my comment was meant as a joke ..... you obviously didn't pick up that I was being sarcastic! Never in my comment was I rude or an idiot, but clearly in the comment you made you were rude and showed how much of an idiot you are!
I love how you always put 2 and 2 together. "what's all this dust in this room? Oh it must be for the fire place. And" this is olives looks like burnt Cheerios! Lol love it! Thanks for the awesome videos.
Place like that, I'd come in with some supplies and a few people, sweep it out, patch it up, and never let anyone else be the wiser. If someone owns it, odds are it'll be mine by the time they go check on it. If it's the government's I doubt they'd object to a free caretaker keeping an unused property from disrepair on private dime. Be a killer place to get away without dealing with ownership obligations, and even if someone owns it and comes back I doubt they'd object to drywall patching, sweeping, and roof repair...
What a beautiful place! I love seeing "clean" places like this. I hate when people vandalize just to do it. This place looks untouched for the most part.
I am creeped out a little bit. I swear I have seen this place before. The room with the podium where you first walk in is clear as day in my head..I am thinking I may have dreamt it. Aside from that, that building is in excellent condition, and would not take too much. to restore it.
Your channel reminds me of the old days of tomb raider for the ps1. Lara Croft would go into strange places and it creeped me out playing the games at night. This reminds me of Lara Croft.
beautiful area and i agree with most this would be a nice home. even looks like you could vault the ceilings based on that hole in the kitchen ceiling.
Since there's a highway right next to the place, I'm guessing it was a tourist information center. The rotary phone dates it from the late 1960 to early 1970s. That's plenty of time for all those trees to have grown up between the building and the highway. There's probably a parking lot buried under the grass between the building and the road, too. The public drinking fountain at 2:44 and the stove exhaust hood at 3:13 are clues, too. This place used to be open to the public. They may have prepared hot food, as well.
This was most likely Central Arkansas. Logging is big business. Not many pines in northern/ northwest Arkansas. Maybe hwy 7 south toward Hot Springs. Those phones were used well into the 90s in rural Arkansas. I had a party line and rotary in 1992!
I think your trying to fool us on this one Dan, The road is right beside this, with a car park (by the looks of it) and your fighting your way through the undergrowth. I think William was correct in his comment 'couldn't just go round the other way' he he he, Keep up the great work, I'm enjoying these 'Film It' ones as much as the main videos.
The "easy way" may have been gated or otherwise blocked, or it may have made it obvious what he was doing (trespassing) in some way had he gone that route. Who knows? I'm just glad he does it!
+Craig Ferguson (The Entertainment King) - Hey, no problem. I meant no criticism of your comment either. Just wanted to suggest some reasons. We're all cool here! :)
There seems to be a consistent issue with a clicking sound on your videos. I hardly notice, but it makes my cats jump. Don't get me wrong, I love these videos!
i live here. could you possibly tell me what town this is in? i am embarking on a new project of taking pictures of old buildings on the outside. thanks for any help you can give.
+8uddyR1ch FILM IT is basically locations that aren't robust enough for the main channel. Plus I can shoot random stuff and upload straight from my phone. It was great to be able to upload daily videos from the road as well. The main channel is for my polished, edited work.
Some day I’m gonna come across a video like this from someone who finds my cabin in the woods lol. I’ve been doing it for 8 years and as far as I know nobody has found it. Great fun just don’t leave trash behind. I’m not sure what kind of trouble I could get in it is miles on the forest on state land but it is out of the National park areas. Hopefully if someone does find it they will see I worked very hard to not be disrespectful.
Oh, you shouldn't have given its location; now, some jerks will try to find it so that they can trash it. Frankly, it was in great condition, and if I had the money, I'd be tempted to make a bid on it. (I am so happy to see a disused building that has actually been left alone, and is not is a ruinous state; thanks for including one in your travels.)
Actually, it's close to a highway, from the look of it when that car went by. If it was a ranger station---and it sure looked like one to me (I've seen a bunch of 'em)---it would have to have easy access. I think, as someone else pointed out, Dan didn't want to be seen from the road. He's got to avoid notice. Ain't it nice that the vandals hadn't found it yet? Really nice place, beautiful setting. Wonder how Dan spotted it?
Probably isn't totally abandoned, I worked as a ranger for quite a few years and we'd have huts like that all over the place many of them wouldn't be used for years at a time.
+Dan Bell / Film It Be sure you don't become the missing. You look like you were in very isolated destination. I would't want you to come up missing I would't have no more videos to watch as all ways keep up the work love the videos.
+Dan Bell / Film It This is the type of thing to be done on a dual sport motorcycle. Especially poking around the remnants of the extinct towns out here in eastern NM!!
Oh, I don't know. . .That could be the perfect springboard to a bigger project. . . .Filmmaker Dan Bell. . . Missing. . thought to be investigating an abandoned drug house. . SCRATCH THAT! Filmmaker Dan Bell, Went missing one cold winter evening while investigating an abandoned cabin deep in the woods. . Nearly a year later. . bones are found. . . Digital camera. . . . WHAT HAPPENED? Sounds vaguely familiar. .
That is one of the nicest abandoned places I've seen. It's a shame they cannot give it to someone in need instead of leaving it to rot. I like the front door...and fireplace.
+Jenna X
Why don't you offer to buy it from the owner so you can give it to someone in need?
To someone in need? Sure, you got the shelter part down for someone. But since it's so desolate, what's the point? :D
+KiloByte69 ..... Yeah because everyone has that kind of $ to spare!
Claire Mahony

I would love to live there. That kitchen looks great with those windows.
+Evansmustard I agree. It was so beautiful up there.
*****
I've never been to the UK but I would totally trade with you. I've always fantasized about your countrysides and villages.
I was already picturing where to put my stuff.
+Jill Sandwich me too!. I was imagining subway tile in the kitchen and bath.
I'd have renovated it to look as mid century as possible.
I love how you always put 2 and 2 together. "what's all this dust in this room? Oh it must be for the fire place. And" this is olives looks like burnt Cheerios! Lol love it! Thanks for the awesome videos.

Diversity 6-2112 I agree, really old wooden ship
Set up a generator and a router, I'd never leave
I am so happy that you are doing a few videos out of Arkansas!
What a beautiful place! I love seeing "clean" places like this. I hate when people vandalize just to do it. This place looks untouched for the most part.
I would live there- 10000% in better shape than almost everywhere else you've gone to. Has that camping feel to it and lots of space!
That's a nice little love shack! The US Forest Service emblem on the wall confirms it used to be a ranger station.
I love the sound those old rotary phones made when the dial went back to it's original position.
This would be great to renovate and live in. What a nice house.
Arkansas? Lol...time to do a tick check! I've been stuck in Northern Arkansas for 29 years!
That's the only reason to be there, can't blame ya
@that dude Yeah! Me too! Nothing is worse than being covered in the little bastards!!!
What a beautiful "house". I wouldn't mind fixing it up and moving right in!
BETTER than a Movie - " Nothing Is Ever Easy , Ow , You SOB ( Hurts , Thorns ) " - Dan Bell - LOOOL - TOO FUNNY .. Love It !
That old Rotary phone was sheet! Another great video Dan🙂
it's a......fixer upper
I am creeped out a little bit. I swear I have seen this place before. The room with the podium where you first walk in is clear as day in my head..I am thinking I may have dreamt it. Aside from that, that building is in excellent condition, and would not take too much. to restore it.
What a beautiful spot! Amazing find!
This place looks pretty neat, quite surprised how intact it is 👍
Your channel reminds me of the old days of tomb raider for the ps1. Lara Croft would go into strange places and it creeped me out playing the games at night. This reminds me of Lara Croft.

wow, i would love to take that over. A bit of work and you have a beautiful ranch type of place-lovely fireplace and decent size..What a shame.
Great video as usual Dan !
Where do you find these places?? Amazing - Keep up the great work Dan
So sad this is abandoned looks like a nice house
Virginia W0000
Hard wood floors this is absolutely beautiful, I wanna live at the ranger station.
Your videos are so interesting, love it Dan Bell keep it going!!!
It's obviously not been abandoned for long. Probably used every summer as a fire watch or something. thank for video Mr. Bell.
seems to low to be used for firewatch
saddly forgotten thanks for the video !
Very interesting video, Dan.
4;30 OMG THAT ROOM LOOKS LIKE THE ROOM WHERE THE I FEEL FANTASTIC VIDEO WAS FILMED !!!!
The phone with the cobwebs on it! :) Seems like it had a nice enough layout...
Come to Springfield Missouri and explore
Billy Benedict that’s where I’m from too
This was most likely Central Arkansas. Logging is big business. Not many pines in northern/ northwest Arkansas. Maybe hwy 7 south toward Hot Springs. Those phones were used well into the 90s in rural Arkansas. I had a party line and rotary in 1992!
Bombasticbuster looks outside of dover area
We have multiple abandoned places in my town (a old college, a motel and a hotel)
I love all your videos by the way, always get likes from me😁😊👍👍👍
That is such a nice house. If it was fixed up, that would bring about $100,000 in some areas.
Wow it's huge! It could be so nice with a bit of repair and TLC, what a shame it's sitting empty.
if i were stranded i would fix that place up and make it cozy as hell
you always find the neatest places!
I love those dark wooden walls.
I think your trying to fool us on this one Dan, The road is right beside this, with a car park (by the looks of it) and your fighting your way through the undergrowth. I think William was correct in his comment 'couldn't just go round the other way'

+Brian Karcher I meant it light hearted, not serious.
+Craig Ferguson (The Entertainment King) - Hey, no problem. I meant no criticism of your comment either. Just wanted to suggest some reasons. We're all cool here! :)
+Brian Karcher No worries at all. :-)
There seems to be a consistent issue with a clicking sound on your videos. I hardly notice, but it makes my cats jump. Don't get me wrong, I love these videos!
Despite the debris, I have to say I love it!
It looked like they had maps there. Did you look at them?
I wish I could snag that desk and refinish it. It's perfect for a gamer, my sweetie has one.
wow, that must have been a nice home at one time.cool video
Looks pretty cozy
Oooh the Ozarks are a creepy place. Have you ever seen Winter's Bone? Lol
Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin that's correct, very hilly and mountainous with thick woods separated by streams
Looking forward to more Arkansas videos! Dogpatch USA would be a good spot for exploring I bet, if they haven't already cleaned it up too much.
Where in AR was this? You should go to Eureka Springs, AR.
Some should move in there and start fixing it up , I think after what 7 years its yours
Barbara Miller - Squatters rights.
Unless it belongs to the state . . .
I was told if you take care of property for twenty years you can claim it as yours. Not sure if that's true or not just what I've been told
Jo Nu it’s seven years in my county
As long as you keep up the property taxes!
i live here. could you possibly tell me what town this is in? i am embarking on a new project of taking pictures of old buildings on the outside. thanks for any help you can give.
Have you been around the Gaston, Arkansas area?
What kind of camera do you use?!
did you check if still power is on?^^
This is the World's Greatest Bromance😘
Nice job dan bell
Dan - for us curious fans, can you explain the difference between the This Is Dan Bell and the Film It channels?
+8uddyR1ch FILM IT is basically locations that aren't robust enough for the main channel. Plus I can shoot random stuff and upload straight from my phone. It was great to be able to upload daily videos from the road as well. The main channel is for my polished, edited work.
Dan Bell / Film It Thank for the explanation Dan! I love them both. Keep it up!
Prob a cozy place in the winter time🙂
That is why I carry snips while I hike in the Ozarks....
I would buy it in a heart beat.
They arrive at the ranger station at 1:19.

This could be turned into something nice..hope whoever owns it doesn't just let it sit and rot
That's Arkansas alright
LOL yeah it had me cracking up " Why does there have to be thorns on everything?" definitely Arkansas.
That looks nothing like I imagined.
^^ dan does your friend post the photos he takes? i'd love to see them :) you never shout out his stuff
I think Will posts on his Instagram!
He has a fan page on Facebook as well, you can also buy prints of his photos, they are really awesome
You can hear traffic... lol, BIG trip
This reminds me of "I Spit on Your Grave" and I grew up in the Ozarks lol
Is that in a state or national park?
How do you find these places? Google Earth?
Oh, you shouldn't have given its location; now, some jerks will try to find it so that they can trash it. I will not live that far in the woods 😧😧😧no way

needs to be restored
the floors are beautiful
That totally reminds me of exploring the cabins in the NES game "Friday the 13th".
Could it be a hunting cabin? Where in from whoever gets there first is allowed to camp there......
2.21,what is that tha a cell phone wonder, how you call with no touchscreen
That stove is awesome.
This could be a beautiful home with little work
Probably isn't totally abandoned, I worked as a ranger for quite a few years and we'd have huts like that all over the place many of them wouldn't be used for years at a time.
According to the phone number on the phone, this was probably in the Plainview area south of Russellville.
where is this at?
Why do someone abandons this?
someone could fix that place up easy; nice little holiday home
"Nothing is ever....ow. You son of a bitch". LOL!
I would love to live there, such a pity it's been left to rot.
It's old alright. A rotary dial phone and wood paneling.
dan I'm a explorer and love in Arkansas and document also any way to email info on this
would be good place to get away for the weekend or deer hunting camp
''Build it, and they will come''. lol
