Bro just needs to use his undergrad network to get into VC. Guys like him should be last to get an MBA

Does he really need an MBA?

Didn't Round 1 already end? I was wondering why he didn't write his essay yet, maybe he is aiming for R2. I have a very similar background with him (software engineer), but 3.8 GPA and 780 GMAT + Ivy league CS undergrad with entrepreneurship as a goal and applied in R1. Hopefully I have a similar chance as him for the GSB which is my dream school!

With those high GMAT, i think he can change his mind about post-MBA. Instead of being VCist, he can work for an investment banking like GS/JPM/MS/Nomura/Bank of America. I definitely sure that an investment bank would love someone from typical quant-guy.

This guy says mmm-hmm to acknowledge a statement instead of actually articulating a word -- like yes, I agree, or sure. The mmm-hmmm response will not look favorable to the admission officers interviewing him and he also shouldn't play with his chin -- that is annoying.

Why would McKinsey think twice hiring such a guy? Why is it a big no no to be 31 or 34 by the end of graduation with such a profile and potentially an interesting story? I would be careful to take their advice at face value. Interesting profiles featured, though.
