in the bottom left of your inventory when youre in a chest, theres an add to stacks button. it adds anything in your inventory thats already in the chest. makes moving things quicker, especially if you enjoy have multiple organized chests
A spear is useful if you have charging animals. I have been surprised by Wolves who have charged and holding the spear out in front killed them. Obviously a Bear is worse, but the spear will keep some distance. I have a base about five times the area you have and I have survived a cat 5. Now upgrading it to stone. If you kill the Mother the offspring will be prey for other predators. So it's better to take down both. If you want to look at it in a humane way. I don't know if it makes any structural difference, but you can place posts between your wall sections and corners. That is why I built up against a cliff near a waterfall. Very low possibility of fires. I find it's good to follow the rivers when exploring.

After a while you can tell what kind of animal by the way the health bar moves across the landscape. Rabbits bounce more than other animals. Deer with baby becomes easier to recognize. (baby runs back to mom). I am surprised that you haven't checked the fireplace in the tech tree. It is safer than a campfire inside and burns wood more efficiently. Nice to be next to a cave, but it is a small cave.
Enjoying the series. I started a new char on a fresh map about the time your second video came out. I just got to my main base location up north. There are two massive caves in C2 and C3. The health bar is great but sometimes it is a blessing and a curse. Instead of worrying about all the sounds, you second guess every health bar that shows up, including rabbits you cant see. Still worth it I think. There is also a set of skills that allow you to highlight the animal while aiming. Might be worth investing in the herbalism bench to craft the medicine that cures cave sickness. Looking forward to the next episode! Thanks for the great content.

Hey GE. First best tip I would offer is to use stealth often. Anytime you're staying in an area (building, chopping a tree, mining), being in stealth will help prevent those sneak attacks from bears, boars and wolves. Might seem like a pain to go in and out of stealth constantly, but it's a life-saver. Bonus, you'll get the upper hand on deer that might wander in closer to you. Loving this series. It's my favorite game right now and soaks up a lot of my free time.

All the prime meat buffs are the same if cooked. You get different, stackable buffs if you dry the prime meats. Check the recipes for more info.

The seeds go in the seed sack automatically if you have it in your hotbar iirc.
