John Bokor's exhibition "Inner world" October 2020

John Bokor’s vibrant interiors and still life works are rich with a combined history of drawn marks and paint layers. He celebrates the ghosts and palimpsests of each work’s evolution, their journeys of development on display for all to discover. As he explains to Richard Morecroft, his approach to colour is entirely intuitive, but over the years he has become bolder and more confident. Now his created spaces fizz and crackle with almost electric palettes - but at the heart of all the work is energetic drawing powered by years of careful observation.
