Granite this firearm came out over 3 years ago, I was very fortunate to purchase the MASTERCLASS 1911 still in unused condition earlier this year. Thanks for sharing.
My finest pistol. I’ve had no failures with this weapon at all, from straight out of the box until my present 450 round mark. It shoots more accurately than any of my other pistols in any other caliber. The sights are outstanding. The fit and finish is what I expected from a pistol in this price range. Great job!!
Man oh man, that thing looks good! I don't think there's a single thing I'd change about it. I've become a huge fan of a black rears with high contrast front sight. The whole gun seems like a cool cross b/w tactical & smooth. Hope to get some time with one soon.
You should try the Kinetic Research Group handguard on your ACR. I really like mine. I'm 6'3" with ridiculously long arms so it fits! Love your channel, kiddo!
Hivolt Arc Hey thanks for the support & for the recommendation! I’ll be sure to look into it 👊
@@TexasPlinking did you ever get to try one of these?
solid set up for sure
Great looking gun. Springfield Makes a good Solid 1911 I've had mine for many many years.
Is it bad that I’ve watched this like 4 times already? The more I watch it the more I’m gonna have to get one. Hopefully this isn’t a short run! Thanks Larry Vickers!
My favorite pistol. I will say man, you have a great taste in firearms
Thanks!
Congrats Larry. Sounds like another Awesome collaboration. God bless 🇺🇸🦅-she’s a beauty. Something i could afford after a little saving. Thanks Larry !
I want this and a Vickers G -43, make those again.
I've looked for one for a long time with no luck. I have a master class Springfield armory aficionado that's absolutely custom quality. I will continue my quest. Thanks for the video!
Great looking blaster! I've owned a couple Springfield 1911's and they were solid guns imo... nothing like the recoil impulse from a smooth .45 1911! Thanks for everything you do LAV! ✌️
I have a MC Operator and I LOVE it.
My first that’s at work were, “lunch can wait ,I must see this project “ just awesome absolutely awesome! Congratulations ! This is the type of team work our Community needs.
Finally found one and couldn't be happier. The fit and finish are superb, can't wait to take it to the range and sling some lead.
Finally, something awesome and affordable!!!!
I have one of these, and I absolutely love it.
First pistol that I can afford and absolutely love it. That 1911 is perfect, right down to the hammer and slide serrations. Next one I’m picking up if this is still available when I’m ready.
I’m loving the solid trigger and lack of forward cocking serrations. Gun just looks clean.
I picked one up and man what a shooter. And the grip is very aggressive. Beautiful gun
Love it! Wish it was still available.
Congrats Larry! You have an amazing reputation in the industry and so many of the best in the biz wanting to partner with you speaks to that!
Paul
Awesome beauty you added in to that 1911, I loved the texture, and the grips
You are such a good guy, Larry.
Sounds incredible. Great collaboration.
Mine has been on order for over some time now! Can not wait to pick mine up!
If this had a light rail I’d have ordered one already
idk why it doesn't have a rail....or at least a version with one
@@Silidons91 they probaably will have a railed version later on. the non railed 1911 is the best seller, so it makes sense.
Have found myself really collecting 1911s now and my latest was the limited production Marine CQB in black with a national match barrel, dual spring and the light rail. Agreed completely, this would be a complete package with the light rail but still considering a purchase. Love LV and all he does. Have the german small arms book he and gun jesus did, signed by LV!
@@ArkhonXIX there's no way i'm gonna buy one right now with no rail, because i need a rail for duty use...gonna wait for the railed version
@@Silidons91 totally agree
Wow! That looks amazing I can't wait to get my hands on one!
Awesome gun Larry. Thank you for your service. God bless you.
It looks awsome I'll have to wait until taxes to get it. Love 1911's
Gorgeous. Lovely 1911.
Beautiful 1911, not overdone perfect!
Just ordered one, can’t wait!
Now that is a nice classic build i have ever seen so far in modern market.
Hi bud just wanted to say congrats on how much waight you have lost. Its pritty inspiring to someone like me who has some waight that needs to go. Excellent video as allways keep up the amazing work.
It's a great pistol! Picked my copy up at a local gun store. It's an 'affordable' Wilson Combat, Springfield Armory, with Larry Vickers' design input hybrid. TONS of VALUE for the money!! I also love the sort of retro overtones (no rail, old school Commander style hammer). Home run with this one LAV! Thank you.
I have two wilso combat Vickers Elites in 45acp and I have just purchased this pistol. I have yet to shoot it but it feels phenomenal in my hands without being to aggressive in the checkering. Looking forward to shooting it during your January class in Los Angeles
I'm behind Larry Vickers on anything he backs up. I just bought a Glock G45 and have been in touch with Larry a few times on his thoughts on it. Have already purchased Vickers elite battlesight rears and Wilson Combat ameriglo front sights. Love the Springfield 1911s. Now with LAV behind it, it's even better. Badass pistol Larry.
boone glock 45 I have Glock 45 fantastic pistol.
@@ldreese33 Love mine so far. Best Glock made in my opinion. Going to buy everything from Vickers Tactical and Wilson Combat that will fit it.
I’m going to find one. Thanks for getting it put together
Great gun. Feels super tight and looks great.
Thank you for keeping the bank in mind and coming up with above average designs for a relatively decent price points. Would have no qualms adding this bad boy to the collection. I've seen far inferior 1911s around that price point so.
Beautiful gun! Great job to all
The X-cross hatch style on the F/R straps is awesome.
Very cool... I’m going to check it out.
OUTSTANDING Now if i could only find one .
Very Cool 1911, Mr. Vickers !!!!!!!!!!!!
If SA and Lipsey's could just make them available that would be great.
Cant find them anywhere.
I had my LGS put in an order with Lipsey's back in August, still waiting to hear back.
@@martyyoung3611 I contacted my LGS which reached out to Lipsey's "all are allocated".
@@rodneysamuels8222, I knew that. My LGS is a Lipsey's dealer and they have one on order.
Beautiful looking gun! Classic but modern. Would love to see a version with a rail but still a great gun!
Nice looking and a real good deal.
Lookin' very very good! I'm intrested for sure!
I'm not a 1911 fan at all but this one peaked my interest for sure . Definitely gonna be checking one if these out .
Really Nice Shooting Larry You Tamed That 1911 Expertly 😀😊😎
That is so cool. .45 is awesome. I have a Vickers Glock 19. I carry it a lot. I have two Springfield 1911s in 9mm. Awesome guns. I carry my CCC. all the time. I pulled out the .45 a couple days ago and went to the range. It is so fun to shoot. I am going to get a Master Class next. I won't feel undergunned at all. That gun is just beautiful.
That slo-mo of the bullet flying was cool
my Big homie LAV, your going to make me go broke :-D *pulls out the credit card*
Love it. Can’t wait to get my hands on one. Make sure Lipseys ships some North to us in Canada! LAV fans up here too... and I don’t mean the armoured kind.
Well, I know what my next pistol is! Just got a 5” Ronin S.A. .45 a month ago, has been great.
Hey larry I would love to see your old setups for backin your delta, SF, and ranger days.
We did a video with forgotten weapons about his Delta Carbine.
@@peterslaby9782 what about other weapons? Did he use m14 with red dot? What kind of 1911? Why didnt they use m9? Ect.
I don’t think he was ever in the Ranger.
Check out his podcast he did a whole episode about the Delta 1911 builds
@@noodles5438 He wasn't. He was in Special Forces for a brief amount of time and spent most of his Army career in Delta Force
Love it. I had a Caspian built with wilson parts, not 1500 but love it.
6:44 Alimenta a recamara una munición y el martillo vuelve a posición de descanso???
Cant wait for the 9mm looks great i have 2 springfields now both R/O target 9 and 45
Looks like a great 1911 Larry!
To everyone whining about the lack of a rail, Larry very plainly states that the concept for this 1911 was as a tribute, retro type pistol with some modern touches (for example the beaver tail and the checkering on the grip). It is very clearly such a weapon. Maybe if SA continues the line, you’ll see the light rail added later.
Thanks David for weighing in and stating what I thought would be obvious for everyone watching the video
Beautiful pistol Larry! Love to have one!! And I'm sure it can deliver the goods. 🇺🇸☠️🇺🇸
Good stuff, LAV. Really regret getting rid of my Vickers RTF2 19.
Awesome Video! I love those 1911's SPringfield Armory, and Wilson Combat are 2 of the Best. I wonder if SA will release a 10mm version later. Keep up the great work Brother!
I know what I'm getting for Christmas! 🎯
I hope you can find one!
Am right down the way.
Am bout to go buy this!
Very cool stuff
Looks like a winner to me
Sweet shooting set up nice gun!
LAV making his own hand cannons - outstanding
Love the hell out of mine
Much respect sir, I love the gun especially trying to get it down to the “Everyman” price range. That being said, it would be great to see a version with a rail and chambered in 9mm.
As much as it pains the purists, 9mm 1911’s are the future for 1911’s and the future is now.
Regards,
Marky
@@lourlays5812 Those tend to be a kludge and usually lead to holster fitment limitations. For anything modern, it's best to just wait for the railed version if that's your plan.
-Marky
I been eyeballing this gun for a while, I'm going to have one of these if I find one local. I have seen none in the shops, however I get me a Wilson Combat EDC X9 it's a beautiful and reliable and this one just says buy me as well. 😎
I love that texturing! It looks great. The one 1911 that I'd really like to see from Springfield would be a compact version of the Lightweight Operator series, something the size of the old Colt Concealed Carry Officer's Model, but with a rail. As far as I know, Wilson Combat is the only company offering a 1911 in that configuration, but, as much as I'd love to have a Wilson, that's not going happen anytime soon.
Had mine for appx a month now. I've got 300 rds down the spout w/o a hick-up. The features provided at this price are fabulous. Can't wait for SA to expand the Vickers Tactical Master Class Line.
Love it brother, wish it has a small magwell
I dig it thanks
6:44 That looks odd...hammer follow?
I was wondering about that too😖
Two old post from thefiringline and thehighroad forums, by one named 1911Tuner.
"Do a quick test.
Empty gun. Lock the slide to the rear. Pull the trigger fully rearward and hold it there.
Use the slidestop to release the slide.
If the hammer doesn't follow, you can probably cure it by bending the center leaf of the sear spring forward for more tension on the trigger. You'll add about a half pound to the trigger pull, but the trigger will stop bumping the disconnect and moving the sear.
Be sure to support the sear spring a little above the junction before you start crankin' on it, or it'll snap like a dry twig.
If the hammer does follow, you've got more serious problems that won't be as simple to remedy...but I suspect that it's a matter of needing more sear spring tension."
---
"Followdown to half-cock is usually either caused by the trigger bumping the disconnect under inertia...with a little hammer bounce caused by using a too-light mainspring and overtweaking/lightening the sear spring tension of the left leg of the spring increasing the odds of the occurrence...or the hammer/sear interface is out of kilter.
A quick test can help determine whether you need to add tension to the sear spring, or if you have a hammer and sear problem.
Pull the trigger and hold it full rearward. Yank the slide back and release it abruptly so that it'll snap forward into battery...or let it fly with the slidestop..whichever way is more likely to produce the followdown. If the hammer stays put, add tension to the center leg of the sear spring, and a bit to the left leg probably wouldn't hurt, nor would ordering a Wolff 23-pound mainspring and installing it.
If the hammer follows with the trigger held, it's likely a hammer and/or sear problem."
Just awesome🙌👍🤙.Wish it comes with double stack magazine Sir.Stay safe and God Bless🙏🙏🙏.
I enjoy what u do
Big fan
Looks good to go
gorgeous
That's a beautiful pistol, I would love to have one with a full rail and a speed chute on it.
what's a speed chute?
@@FourthExile it's a magwell for the 1911.
Nice!
Looks like a winner!!! When you drop a commander in 9 milli I’ll be all over that👍
glad you covered a Springfield Armory model of the 1911, I remember firing the 9mm one at a Gun store with my Dad, they had a range and class. that was the best 18th birthday present I had. I still want to own a 1911 because I love the history of it and it's a Veteran of many wars, sad it got replaced by an Italian.
I love my 1911! Waited a long time to have one, bought a Kimber custom 2, already gave 4 sets of grips, puting a gi guide rod, it now has night sights on it, a fun new build for me, I want to lighten the slide, maybe have one custom built?
I need one!
I do not get every one's fascination with the lack of rail, I think it is perfect as is.
It's perfect. Have 2 on order at LGS.
Did you ever get them?
Give me a commander so I could carry it a little easier.
Dan wesson vigil commander/compact, awesome carry guns.
