- The infamous burl post makes it's way into the cabin build and the guys start on installing windows!
Soon the windows and doors will be in and we will be working solely on the interior, after a whole lot of staining and chinking. The loft burl post will also be getting installed soon and then we can wrap up the last little bit of ceiling.
The guys are working with the weather and trying to get done whatever makes sense that day as well as getting the cabin closed in for my parents to come stay in for a week!

Heh, awesome that you are working on that center support today. That was one of my biggest wonders. It was like you were strategically filming to avoid showing what you were doing there. Each week I was like, ok, this time I’ll get to see something other than a couple of temporary 2x4 that I knew weren’t going to be there in the future. At the end of every episode I would think, “She’s purposely not showing that just so I’ll have to wonder!”.. 😁 Awesome to see that post going in. Now I can sleep! Keep up the good work. We’re following extremely closely.

What is the change in elevation between the body of water I see in the background of your videos and the cabin?
I love how the dogs need to be underfoot while you are working.
You will be dried in soon and that is great progress.
Also, they say babies have perfect pitch. If you listen to the video, the baby is humming at the exact not that the sander is.
How difficult is to find the pines with burl ? I hunted in BC and the main lodge had many posts with burl it was the nicest place to stay.
