    Time to time returns to this video. 3 inch toothpick bible)
    @Moe thank you for propagating 3inch light weight quads. They are really awesome.
    My favorite now is 2s 3inch analog 42.8 g + 18g gnb 2s 350mAh. With HappyModel 1202,5 8000kv, emax avan 3inch 3 blades and such light weight, power to wight ratio is so crazy, it is hard to describe how good it fly.

    Can confirm. For moment I though you had stolen my drones. JK. But I do have two very similar drones. Mainly the motor, prop and frames you have. I'm using a different AIO 1-3s and I'm running mine on 2s. So mine are about 12 grams heavier than what you have. But one is heavier, and the lighter one is by far my favorite. The lighter one needs more tuning, etc etc. Almost everything you described is the experience I've had. My lighter one has hdzero and the heavier one has WS and I'm about to build a third with analog. Anyway I just sat down at my desk to do that and wanted to watch some drone motivation video, and yours popped up. AI is scary LOL. Great vid thanks for the motivation.
    On a seperate note, since your sharing with people how this form factor is unique and fun in a way that other drones aren't. Let me throw this out there for you. Recently I bought a "Chesty" (the new bag from Mr. Steele) and have REALLY enjoyed what it has done for making it easy to fly more often and new places. I didn't use it exactly the way he intended. I put my goggles in the main pocket and leave the controller hanging from the bottom of the bag with what is basically and crown royal pull string bag on it for protection. The last thing I have to do is make some small velcro straps to attach a few drones to the front velcro. In the second main pocket I carry 21700 6s batter I made originally for long range, and a charger (the ToolkitRC M8S). For the two side pockets I used some stuff I had a folded some boxes so nothing falls out the bottom. I put my batteries in those and transfer my batteries from one side to the other as they are used. But honestly the 21700 (let's call it megapack) allows me to charge, I don't even know, 20+ of my 2s 550mah batteries. Honestly it never comes to that. Usually I'm using it to charge my goggles or controller before that. The point is I have one small bag that carries every thing I need, and even if I have no packs charged I can always stop and fast charge a pack at 4c if i really wanna fly. Because I'm flying small drones it really opens up where I can fly without drawing negative attention, AND I don't ever have to set anything down, I'm free to fly and walk away at a moments notice, or search for a downed drone with out worrying someone will take off with my stuff left at a table etc, cause I live in a big city. I just wanted to share this with you cause It has been such an UPGRADE in the hobby for me. I just throw that bag in the car if I think there is even a chance I'll get to fly and if not no big deal.

      Yeah that’s a good idea and I am really curious to see. I looked at a few motor charts and the draw seemed tolerable , but I had just heard mixed things about the diamond boards. Some loved them and some had bad experiences. Knock on wood, all good so far

      @@MoeFPV my experience is OK so far too. But when I put 1102s with 2 inch props I was seeing 22A on punchouts. That's cutting it a bit fine at 5.5A per ESC; feels like 3 inch might be even more. But, I'm really tempted to try one now. It looks like a real ripper

You should check it out! could be a great candidate frame for a 1s digital vtx build. Or even a full performance analog build. How much amps takes the lighter build ? It’s above 5A that is declared by happymodel in diamond aios ?

  • @ChrisHarmon1
    @ChrisHarmon1 9 месяцев назад

    After trying the 75 Pro, I was surprised the flight times were not really affected vs 75mm even with the larger props, so I decided to use the older 85mm URUAV/happymodel frames that came in around 7-8 grams. I cut some plastic off and ended up with an HDZero build that weighed 34 grams using 1002s. Right now its my favorite 1s HDZero build because it seems to have that 75mm analog light feel while still getting 4 minute flight times, more if you arent punching throttle a lot. I am using the BT2.0 but I would think the A30s could be a decent middle of road alternative to the XT30? Supposedly they offer more amps with only a slight weight increase.

    • @MoeFPV
      @MoeFPV  9 месяцев назад

      Very interesting build - sounds like a lot of fun ! I’m currently flying a 75 pro HDZ as well on 1102s and get decent flight times and performance with it. And to be honest, Chris I wasn’t aware that the A3 provided any benefits in current - did you see some information otherwise ? 1002s with 45mm props should be manageable by bt 2.0 in my opinion but I would be interested to know if there was a sag and performance improvement. This build really opened the rabbit hole for me on the X300 versus BT debate

    • @chrisbee5481
      @chrisbee5481 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@MoeFPVGNB A30 and BT2 plugs are compatible. Both have the same pin connector. So there most probably is no performance benefit of the A30 over BT2 connector. I know A30 claims higher current.

    • @ChrisHarmon1
      @ChrisHarmon1 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@MoeFPV When GNB released the A30 there was a chart floating around showing 12A rating for BT2.0 and 15A for the A30, Bardwell even released a video where he mentions the performance is as good or better but after you asked I did a quick search for the chart and stumbled across Oscar Liangs review which shows the BT2.0 actually having a tiny bit less voltage drop, so it's likely marketing hype suggesting its 15A vs 12A. I do know for a fact that BT2.0 works just fine on 2 cell 5 - 7 amp builds, so any 40 gram or under 2 cell build.

    • @MoeFPV
      @MoeFPV  9 месяцев назад

      @@chrisbee5481 that is what I assumed TBH - I use them both interchangeably so assumed there was no real advantage of one over the other (aside from A30 being non proprietary) - thanks for the info

    • @ChrisHarmon1
      @ChrisHarmon1 9 месяцев назад

      @@chrisbee5481 My thinking was they made the pins a little longer to achieve the higher rating yet still be compatible with BT2.0, but looking back now it's likely marketing bs.

      12mm motor shouldn’t be much of an issue TBH especially with the lower pitched lighter Gemfan props. Happymodel used a 5a 2G4 AIO for their Crux 3 on 1202.5 motors. I wouldn’t really want to run the 13mm on 5a, especially a diamond board… but it PROBABLY wouldn’t explode ..
