The law of "Sandrails/Buggies" 8 hrs work = 1 hr of play
Jim’s “play” is 8 hours of work. He rebuilt my truck in a month and slaved me and our dad with 14 hour days and little to no play. lol.
Good job explaining the shifter linkage, Jimmy. I don't believe I have seen anybody else that is building buggies cover it ? Thanks for listening to people and taking the time
Wow, she's fast!
That buggy is going to be a quick runner Jim!
You did it Jimmy!
Best looking sand buggie I've ever seen 🏆Got best friend Merlin helping it don't get no better than that !!!❤
Looks like your punch list is getting whittled down, very kool! Can't wait to see how well it rips. Thanx !
That thing is going to be a lot of fun!
It’s alive!

Awesome buggy Jim, lot of work but be worth it. Bet will be Fast!, looks great
Jimmy got his shop shirt on...
He is open to the camera...🤣
It was at that very monument Jimmy reconsidered pulling the exhaust system 😮
You know its Crunch Time when the parts start going on without being painted 😊
Love the jet ski stand / engine stand wish I had one 😊
Awesome sand rail Jimmy. Love your channel. Keep ‘em coming.
Looking good Jimmy! Motor sounds good!
On the other end of the caliper...that thing that sticks out should be the same length as the open diameter 😮 I'm pretty sure they designed it that way 😊 thats and easier was to check depth.
When you get some spare time I need a sand rail to lol
Good chance some will be for sale after the weekend.
JIM DANDY TO THE RESCUE! Go Jim Dandy!!!!
YOU GUYS ARE FANTASTIC,LOVE YOUR MACHINES,KEEP IT UP.
That’s what I like about your channel mate, it’s wart’s and all no editing to make everything seem like it works first time. Cheers from down under.
Go for it! I love this stuff. Can't wait to see the riding footage.
This has to be the neatest cleanest sand buggy I've seen. Meticulous work Jimmy and Merlin as assistant. Bushyboy Oz.
Thank you!
Thank you Jimmy, much appreciated.
You do good work Jimmy and I enjoy your high standards of how the projects look when you are finished.
Thank you for the kind words. :-)
Thanks for sharing Jimmy. The struggle is real.
YeeHa...Get after it Jimmy.
That looks like it is going to be a blast!
Great job getting the Buggy going. Going to be a Big Merlin Dune BD PARTY!
I'm glad you got the motor starting and running so jut get the breaks working and it will be fun times in the sand.
I love your gantry crane. makes life so much easier...
Thank you, It was an amazing project to install, I have footage of it, I keep threatening to post it one day. :-)
What year is your sand rail
Good looking rail there. Yeah, looks like it's geared pretty high. That'll take some getting used to. Almost time to hit the sand.
Dam jimmy you are going to have the best Sand rail out there and to fastest one out there too
Gunna be fun..be safe out there
Great work again Jimmy I am sure you can't wait.
You should show off that cool contraption that you lift motors out with on the beam.
His DIY gantry crane? I love that thing! ❤❤❤❤❤
Good catch ! You may need a set of paddles in the dunes ! Nice buggy ! Thanks for sharing !
epic build
Why do you prefer mid engine? I noticed Paul likes the rear engine. What are the trade offs. I know Paul may just like rear engine for wheelies.
Hey Jimmy I think you could have the best looking buggy out there lol 👍☮️💪🏻✌️
Next week, after the fun in the dunes, Jet Ski Jimmy will introduce the passenger as Skidmark Screamer...
Hahaha, i love it!
Merlin doesn't want you to go ,he wants you to go with him ,so you can push when he gets stuck in the sand , better look out for that guy ,😅
Lol, that's awesome. :-)
Thanks Jim for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you guys, did not hear your turbo.
Don't drive it like you stole it, drive it like a Jet Ski!!!
Oh don’t say that! 😂😮😂

Have a feeling your rig is going to Rip up some VWs.!!!??
Jim, I believe that you suffer from the disease of perfectionism. I am similarly afflicted.
🥃
Hell com u don't have a minny jet boit yet 😮
Hey Jimmy what size is the Vair is it a 110 140 or 180 hp. It should rip for sure. Was it out of a spyder? thanks man Tim in Gilbert.
yes, it is from a spyder. :-) I don't know the horsepower.
Right on it should be the 180 hp version then. thanks brother love your channel.@@jetskijim007
What kind of carb are you running on that Corvair motor?
Sidedraft weber. It is a pooular upgrade evidently. :-)
@@jetskijim007 thanks, any idea which model?
Looked like she was getting away from you for a minute...
Yeah.....welding on yer when a zip tie or dozen woulda done..😖
Lol
Do you think that high gearing might be that because the box is backwards were actually selecting the wrong gear. The pattern will be completely opposite
Lol, yes! that is exactly what happened. My lack of experience got me, Lol, I was in second gear. Down is first, up is second. I will show that in the next video, as I figured it out later when looking for reverse..... :-)
Money says you'll want lower gears
There is no easy on your sand rail.
Why aren’t you just pulling the transmission? Yes Jimmy I broke meanya VW transmission with my 140 hp Corvair powered buggy!
Labels....
Aw thanks for cutting the music it gets to be annoying
First
Love the cooler mounted up in front :P
Seems to me that the turbo wouldn't last long in all the sand.
We shall see
