Insane playing - love the drum solo 🔥🥁 Amazing band. This must have been a great show in a small club where can enjoy the music right next to the band 🤘
OK, I don't want to criticize PS any more because I love the fact that he is playing blues and we all owe him our support for that. Play on Philip Sayce - more power to you!
Yes sir ree, great buzz, strong band, Amazing . God Bless Hallelujah,I Believe Our Wonder Almighty LORD GOD Father JESUS, is So Worthy to be Praised and Worshiped day and night 4 ever and ever AMEN. God Bless God's People.
3/11/14 - ARE YOU READY FOR PHILIP SAYCE?????? @ Boom Boom Club/Sutton Utd FC “Continuing his full throttle assault towards blues-rock’s crown, this incredible guitarist is shooting straight from the heart.” - Guitarist, UK
in my opinion he lacks breathe in his playing, he never takes any breaks to let the music breathe. thats just my opinion, he is an insane guitar player otherwise
I haven't seem him play in general, but on this FK tribute song I think he's pretty much nailing how FK sounded on electric guitar. He was always kinda' wild from what I've listened to, kind of like old Buddy Guy recordings, imho....
lacks any and all originality. I get he's tearing up the minor blues scale like most of us do but I don't hear any spice or punch to it. Perhaps like Man BOX said...letting some air up in there may shed some emphasis on what he is playing. BB KING said ..being a great blues player is knowing when not to play. All that said--he can shred if you like shredding.
mcigraff ok that's according BB King but i red that he say about himself that he doesn't consider himself a great guitar player so. (BB King) if you dont like the Philip Sayce kind of playing is ok but he is a great guitar player that's for sure.
mcigraff No he is not great. I can direct you to others doing SRV and only that that are doing it better. There are too many. He has learned all the SRV licks. We ALL know how to play like this don't we? It has already been done but SRV 's been dead a long time now. I hate hearing people just trying to be someone else who has come and gone; make up just one lick of your own or stay home. Of course, he is very talented and I recognize it and wish him success, still - let the light of truth shine.
This Phillip Sayce is delivering some sound. liking it.

All Good...
It's more of a tribute to Albert collins...
Where does he sound like Albert Collins?
Airbloom Amplifiers wasn't speaking about his playing, but the song he was singing is BLACK CAT BONE wich is pure Albert Collins
Original song is Hop Wilson's 'Black Cat Bone'.
SRV!!!
Is this Maui Sugarmill? ;) I remember playing there! :)
great playing Not Freedie style!
Man this guy can shred no doubt, but his playing just lacks something. Can't put my finger on it but something is missing.
