One of the greatest performances of all time - no doubt inspired by Phil's love for his lost and dear friend. TY Philip Sayce! And TY & RIP Jeff Healey ;)

Great player. Great guy. Average voice; that is his shortcoming.
real life guitar hero fuck this is too good
Amazing talent
Pure MAGIC!
Wow just wow.That was perfect.
Never play one note when you can play fifty.
Such an inspiring performance
I think I lost my virginity.
This is basically SRV's "Tin Pan Alley" with different words.
Tammy Rogne : And from where do you think SRV got “Tin Pan Alley” and most if not all of his other tunes?
SRV was standing on the shoulders of all those who came before ... and probably especially Albert King.
@@freecitizen2760 No doubt! I didnt mean it in a bad way!
@@freecitizen2760 stevie live ....tin pan alley.....is unmatched....this is awesome....but stevie in that moment that night stepped off their shoulders....period...sayce is awesome but not there
Tammy Rogne : I’m so sorry if I made you feel that ... I’m glad you didn’t.
Being honest with you though, I did get that impression.
woog e : Hi! I saw SRV twice. Once he was sitting on the edge of the stage warming up. I had no idea who he was, did not have tickets to the show and so I just moved on.
Later I saw him live in either Edmonton or Vancouver (long time ago so I can’t remember).
I do remember him being unbelievably good.
I also remember him kicking down some plexiglass panels between him and his amp array (Fenders and Marshalls as I recall).
I also only saw one error.
He does a thing where he plucks his strings behind the nut.
Well, he missed one.
I saw him for a second try to go back and get it, decide out was too late, and just continue on with the tune.
I’m on a plane right now or I’d look up the name of the song.
And yes, SRV did put that whole Blues+Hendrix thing together in such a way that it took it to a “whole ‘nutha level”.
I got myself an original TS-808 because of him (yes, I know he also used TS-9’s and TS-10’s).
I even pulled a half-dozen of original JRC-4558D chips from an Ibanez multi-effect unit that are part of that vintage sound.
Yes SRV’s tone and playing .... “heavy strings, tune low, and floor it” ... had a huge effect on so, so many players.
No me extraña que siempre haya sido un gran admirador de Jimi Hendrix
The new SRV
66k views and i feel like im all of them
Is that a guy or a girl in the front with the black hair?
guessing he is an aspiring guitarist
Great video and sound quality!
I love Philip, yes i do :)
U NO thats what I LIKE!
Hasta los silencios que mete estan con buen gusto...tiene ese toke salvaje de voughan, como el estilo fino de jeff beck....realmente un grande
every lead break and every lick he plays ends up being a barrage of shit at mach 10, the guy cannot contrast slow with fast and build something with melody and tension. I hate to bring up frank marino when talking about phil because frank actually has a decent body of songs (yes i know phil is playing a ak song) but one of franks problems was the constant speedy shit that got old after a while
I totally agree. Fantastic player but There’s flashes of brilliance, but gets disturbed by an over the top speed burst. It upsets the flow and the mood. IMHO
Who are these goobers in the front unaffected? Jesus what’s wrong with people
I like how every note is loud...yes loud....👍
Anybody know what key he’s playing in. Thanks 🤙🏻
Bm!
Beeeest greeeeeeat claaaassss goooodlove like
Wow that was amazing
That's a hot damn son!
One word 😯
Fire and fury
Copying Stevie huh
What I see here, is some inspiration. You definitely can here the Stevie in the licks
Is that really all you took from this 😂
@@ht8083 yep I never said he was good! Too many players all sound the same change that shit up.
@@Leo-uc8zv fair enough but cmon mate he’s a savage you can’t deny that
@@ht8083 he is I agree with you
Good Lord…😧

Super danke
Great player , in this song , you can hear Jimmy Page line
Albert king maybe?
Thousands of notes have to make up for not much feeling!
I LOVE AK and think honestly this shit is awful
