Nope I Think It was a Joke At the Ending Credits
I know. But at the time I think they really were considering it. So they decided to leave it in. One of the actors stated that now he wishes they had done an Airplane III. Personally I don’t think it would work it today’s world. I consider it a “Film Mystery”.
