Ended my 2019 season with a shoulder hit, spent the off season working on everything and came back in 2020 to harvest 2 bulls in 2 states in 4 days so keep your head up.
Bow hunting Elk is an emotional roller coaster. I experienced this first hand this year in NM and came home empty but made a good shot but did not get enough arrow in him. Still haunts me
Love the advice Trent, “let it develop... stay calm buddy, you got this!” Patience is often your friend and then there are times you have to make it happen. Hindsight is always 20/20. Love the footage!
One of my all time favorite pranks is to have some tootsie rolls along. I roll them into balls and when I check the deer/elk berries for my buddies, I give them a sniff and a taste. It always gets an excellent reaction.
Makes me feel better, doing all that work and not getting a bull is rough. Great encouragement, I love all the positive talk good vibes in the woods. Great video guys, that young bull was fun to see

Shot looked high and forward to me... Should be in there next day with the whole crew grid searching that whole area. If it got one lung that bull will die almost certainly. Tracked a bull 6 hours and 4 miles one time on a one lung hit; finally got him. LFG had nearly a full minute for a broadside follow up shot...not sure why he didn't take it??

Weird, Colorado had a statewide fire ban this year. Also weird, I was in that area during that timeframe and forest service had to come put out a small fire 🤷🏻♂️
Keep pushing boys! I shouldered a bull this year too. Its never easy! I didn't even have blood to follow. The only reason I know I hit him was my arrow came out 40 yards from the shot and had about 4 in of penetration. Tried tracking but there was nothing to track
Sorry guys, youens definitely put the miles in and stuck to your decisions. A heartbreaker for sure, good news is that elk is still up and going. Like you said many times in this series.....you just keep going and learning. Be blessed.
