Awesome, I am only 20 minutes in and I have to comment. The fact that you guys take the time to talk about being married and how to be efficient and the transition into becoming more efficient in your hunting is awesome. I am engaged to be married and during the first few years of dating it was certainly a battle to get my fiancé to understand that hunting is not my hobby its a passion that I live for. Now that she understands and respects that Its important for me to respect her for that and learn how to balance it. The days of being in the woods every single day are fading for me but I feel as though I am becoming more confident in my time in the woods and I am becoming more efficient. Thanks to the content that guys like The Hunting Beast and The Hunting Public have put up.

Impossible for me to communicate how much I've learned from Dan and the THP guys. I started deer hunting 45 years ago. I thought I was pretty good. But until Dan I honestly didn't know the value that older bucks put on water as a means of finding solitude. Like most hunters I know, I thought it was all about FOOD. Dan taught me it's about SECURITY, esp with the older bucks. This one lesson changed everything for me.

I'm from waukesha wi..but mainly hunt central wi public along the wi River and lemme tell you we got mature bucks up the wazoo up there..and I agree that the hunting pressure in south east WI can b brutal an we also have to deal with pheasant pressure in SE WI that we don't get up in Central WI..
But that said SE WI is known for just some hulking bucks say in Waikesha co..but majority is private land and access is extremely difficult..

Great stuff guys. As always love the content very informative! Warb has a great idea there for the public land challenge… Break it down into 2 different hunts! Start with a 3 day hunt, then break for 3/4 days to go home, then resume for 3/4 days to finish. I agree that the second hunt would be full of close encounters and kills! The strategies you use to locate a buck, then follow up by moving in several days later would be very fascinating! It would be awesome to see the success rate/harvest rate once you have a target buck located , and then have a three or four day hunt to set up him & kill him. Does his patterns change in those 3/4 days ur home? Or r u able too move in and kill him on the first sit back? If not does a game of cat & mouse then start or right away swerve too plan B??? Fascinating idea warb!! I agreed it would be absolutely awesome too see how it would all play out different from the traditional 5/7 hunts from the past! Y’all are great plz keep up the great work. Thank you for what you do!

I've come to watching RUclips for hunting content and have gotten away from the outdoor channels for the issues mentioned. Seems like most guys on RUclips channels literally video because they generally enjoy it and not for the first sponsor that sends them free junk.

When a channel shows deer hunting on strictly private posted farms it just isn’t entertaining for me ,,,the size of the bucks on that posted land are usually bigger but that’s not why I watch,, I watched THP because I wanted to see good hunters hunting on public land and or their family farms that have wild deer and not farm raised monster bucks that anyone can tell by looking at them that they were farmed and raised on a protected and posted farm.

Don’t care about trail cam. I have a friend that got one of the beast stand. I used it this year for 7 days and 16 sets and I like it. It’s one of the best stands I ever use. I try to buy one but all ways sold out. I just you got to know someone to get one. I killed a 200 inch deer out of it on the 3 day. Tell Dan I need one next time you talk to him. Thanks

Hey there fellow hunters. I really enjoy your podcast. I am wondering if you guys know a good broadheads tune for a ravin R20? I had a 72 yard shot last year on a spine shot and the swacker 100 grn slid along the spine n stopped. Not happy with this setup. Please help. I need more ethical broadheads.

Very good stuff. The part where Aaron talked about being efficient in a new state and how he goes about finding a spot to hunt is golden knowledge from years of experience hunting mature bucks. I know many guys, me included, who just go as far away from the parking lot as possible and start scouting from there. Often times, there isn't big buck sign back there. As for this episode, just some advice, try to keep these shorter and to the point, and stay on topic. I didn't watch this live so it was a very long episode to sit through with only bits and pieces of good info spread throughout 1.5 hrs. Just wanted to give some constructive criticism to help you improve.
