i am preforming this piece for orchestra and i have never been more exited to play a piece of music my entire life. when i heard we were preforming mozart my heart stopped and now i can't stop listening to it. i love it.
Old songwriters never die, they just de-compose. But seriously folks, he lived to be, what, 32 years old? Composed 41 full symphonies Operas, Concertos, Piano pieces. You try doing that. The greatest composer ever. Stop me if I'm wrong.
Symphony #40 was my main study piece for my GCSE. Most recordings I have heard have been too fast. This is the closest to what I remember listening to for 2 years every night. I never got bored of it. Never will. So far my fave recording of it. Can't believe in 1988 I knew every note of this, and the Beatles album Help, which I can't and won't listen to since my final exam. Tubular Bells was my 3rd composition to study, and anyone who likes just a tiny bit of music can listen to that forever, 4th and final was Louis Armstrong, that was like learning maths times tables. Jazz makes my brain give up, like a million string instrument players tuning up at the same time. Grinding teeth and nails down blackboards are like a running stream compared to Jazz. So for a very important part of my life Mozart's 40th was a massive part of my life. I come back to it often, with such fond memories. Now that I've found the one that is more the speed of our old 33rpm. Ok, essay over. thanks for the upload
+moggsy 71 (moggs) Thanks for sharing that story. I listen to a lot of classical music while working on these crazy algebra problems for my research. Symphony 40 never ceases to motivate me when I have kind of had it with work or study. Could you share with us how you think we should listen to this marvelous piece of art? What should we pay close attention to? etc.. Or something interesting you discovered while researching it? Cheers!
* Yes - thank you ! Finally - someone who is spot on regarding the correct tempo ! Most recordings ARE too fast losing the inherent lyricism of the melody in the frantic translation :( You are a kindred spirit moggsy 71 :)
This reminds me of when I was a child in Italy and would walk the path around the woodlot a mile and a half to the village every other day in the early forties to buy bread for my mother for our supper. As I would pass by the old womans cottage near the footbridge, she would always be playing clasical music and would give me a cookie to eat on my way to market. I'll never forget those quiet walks or those cookies....I'm just kidding, I'm 47 and live in California but I do love clasical music.
My 4th grade teacher would put this kind of music when we took a short nap on our desks. I didn't know what kind of music this was until I watched The Living Daylights.
I turn to classical music for conquering anxiety and depression, ailments and such....my usual listening experience is metal. What better way to expand!
I have read "Hidden secret of water" book that water crystals become more beautiful when it listens to Mozart Symphony 40 and believed that Mozart music can really touch our heart!
Heard this done by the SF Symphony at the Opera House. Smaller orchestras of musicians where set-up all over, each one following the other in a live surround-sound experience, as though we were at a party in a castle.
Mozart is THE best. Its the music that transcends human boundaries and rises emotions in all beings, human and animals alike! Increases concentration too :)
Seems they continue to compose in spirit and send "inspiration" to those still in this world. Like when a composer has a sudden flash of inspiration and can compose in minutes, that is coming from composers in spirit.

Art Form Music is some of the greatest music of all time. It includes the following periods: Baroque, Classical, Romantic and 20th Century periods. I studied Art Form music in college at age 19 and fell in love with it. The sonata format that was developed with the Classical period is such a wonderful format.
Exactly. I can see someone embroidering or knitting or doing other work with the hands, but not something that involves attention, because this gorgeous music calls for attention in itself.
I won free tickets from my workplace to the Oregon Symphony play Jupiter, his 41st. It was so very amazing to see and hear in person. Makes me wish I had taken the violin seriously when I was in grade school.
Numinous. Douglas Adams said, “Beethoven tells you what it's like to be Beethoven and Mozart tells you what it's like to be human. Bach tells you what it's like to be the universe.” Mozart...beyond great and genius doesn’t even capture it.
Rob Powell It was Douglas Adams who said the quote but as for me - Vivaldi et al - they tell me that if humans can create such beauty, then there is surely hope for humanity.
Менуэт симфонии 40 можно использовать в качестве гимна, причем в качестве самого потрясающего в мировой истории. Это несокрушимая мощь, воля к победе, торжество разума над Вселенной.

Hello, the Andante Cantabile of n. 41 is best than this. That movement is one of the greatest in the history of music, without detracting the second of the 40.

You have a deeeep connection with music. It's a profound experience for some of us.

Ok Michael Corleone. Tell us another story
@ red dog 🤣🤣🤣
We must all keep dreaming, some day it may come true!
Mozart is bright and sunny, light and delightful, absolutely perfect
Haydn is even better, especially in his last 20 symphonies.
Pay attention to me and you will not regret it.
“Mozart is *sunshine* “- Dvorak
My son, after reading a story with a young Mozart, won't listen to anything else. Tonight he wanted something special. #40 it is!
Keep him away from rap and he'll grow up to be a well rounded young man.

I enjoy listening to Rock 'N' Roll/Blues/Hard Rock the most, but I think classical music is the best! It just can't be beaten :)
Did u know...that moart wrote his music without ever having to rewrite it
My 4th grade teacher would put this kind of music when we took a short nap on our desks. I didn't know what kind of music this was until I watched The Living Daylights.
The undefeated heavyweight champion of classical music

Amadeus.... my Father played this in the morning before going to school. Classic style.
Eternal sunshine of a Mozart's mind, forever in our ears and in our heart...
My son just realized Mozart was a "headbanger" of his time.....
Mozart is THE best. Its the music that transcends human boundaries and rises emotions in all beings, human and animals alike! Increases concentration too :)
ALICE BORUAH -- for some of us, the experience we have with music is beyond description.
Eazy-E is the Best. That songs have a message. This one have no message. NO OFFENSE
I wonder how psychopaths experience beauty.
ah, Thich Nhat Hanh the Vietnamese Buddhist monk (a very fine fellow) champions Mozart, and says dogs and animals enjoy much of his music, especially
Well, thank you
Well, I think I should release my new album I composed in heaven.

Is it weird that I am 14 and never loved music until I heard this masterpiece and now I am a huge music fan.
Darth Gamer no not weird you must be a smart dude
Darth Gamer nope I’m 13 and can’t get enough
Fine.
Not weird. Smart

I loose concentration every time a Mozart plays, i wonder how it helps some people study. I love following every bit of the instruments. Wow!
Exactly. I can see someone embroidering or knitting or doing other work with the hands, but not something that involves attention, because this gorgeous music calls for attention in itself.
I was thinking the exact same thing! And this piece is, for me, so passionnate that I would never be able to focus on anything else :-)
Winnie K. Maybe listen to this before you do anything that involves concentration. That way you "wake up your brain" before you need it.
I can't focus either
This piece sends an eagle to fly me off to the mountain tops
Amazing weaving of melody and instruments. No one ever did it better!
I’m 16 and I appreciate this music, so relaxing and nice to focus

You made me laugh. I like Mozart, Bach, and Adams.
he is a genious par excellence.for only a genious can compose this kind of music. No words to describe his music.
I agree except being dead now he WAS a genius. His music will be played to delighted audiences for hundreds of years.

15:50 I call that "the part with the little birds singing in the background". I love this piece just because of these parts in it.
Ohh,this just reminded me of my mom and how we were introduced to such classic music at a tender age.
Mozart's 2 best symphonies, at least IMO, in a single video. LOVE IT!
In another 350 years, people are still going to be listening to Mozart
I love this. I'm happy I picked this music style today
portraying the actor's role of mozart might be incredible, symphony 40, wow!

Anyone else agree that the second movement of Symphony 40 is the best of all the movements in Symphony 40 and 41?
Hello, the Andante Cantabile of n. 41 is best than this.
That movement is one of the greatest in the history of music, without detracting the second of the 40.

Soul stirring Mozart.

My favorite composer!
Thank you so much for uploading this wonderful HQ version. The 40th sounds so amazingly refreshing almost feel like listening to it the first time. Just can't stop being amazed by it. No wonder so many great musicians revered this work the most. Though some might argue the 41th remains the greatest (what else can we say about Mozart? all the praise have been said)
This changed. This is not the original music that i used to listen. But still amazing
Classical music is the best
Wonderful.
Re-watching Amadeus brought me here. Great movie. 7/17/'21
Good music😎I love clasic Music
Beautiful. Takes you away like a good book or old movie.
Hearing how seamlessly symphonies 39-41 transition into each other convinces me Mozart intended them to be played one after the other.
I love classical music does it help anyone else concentrate
No just me then 😑😑😑
