When Amazon bought Whole Foods, I noticed a big drop in the prices of many things. In fact, I compare their prices to Thrive Market and I no longer think Thrive Market is such a good deal after all.
Thanks for this comprehensive list! I shopped exclusively at Whole Foods when I visited NYC, but only get specialty items there when I'm at home because I have access to wonderful (highly discounted) grocery stores in my area including Arabic markets and ALDI. I always make a stop at Whole Foods for my hubby's salt-free fries and hash browns. If you mix hash browns & that riced cauliflower it makes a great, healthy hash brown waffle (his favorite!).
Looooove Whole Foods, just went yesterday lol. I agree, its really pretty affordable! My produce is always better quality and lasts longer than what I've bought at other stores. Plus, getting those Amazon deals and extra percentages off sales is amazing.
Thank you so much for doing this video! Since going vegan 7 years ago I've been trying to convince both fellow vegans and non-vegans in my life that Whole Foods is a great place for finding certain staple items. The 'Whole Paycheck" thing is only true if you purchase a good amount of their specialty, pre-packaged items, in my experience. And when trying to shop organic there's just no better place. Thanks again! Love your videos, Alyssa!
They have great prices on a lot of products and there 365 brand is great quality, especially for Organic canned beans for $1 that you can order directly from Amazon with no delivery charge.
Great video!!! Other items I always get at WH are the HU Simple Dark Chocolate and some of the clean beauty products... Evenhealy Organic Lip Balm with Whipped Shea Butter and Raspberry Seed is the best thing for your lips!!! 😊
Thanks for this. I have price compared with TJ, Walmart, and Sam's club as I have a large family and not a high income. Whole Foods is mainly cheaper for what we look for... I was shocked.
Hi Alyssa! I don’t know if this is at all Whole Foods but there’s a coconut yoghurt the so delicious brand from Whole Foods. I buy the unsweetened. It’s the best brand of dairy free yoghurt I’ve found. But recently Whole Foods doesn’t carry it in the store. However I can order a case of the so delicious unsweetened coconut yoghurt which has 6 of the bigger containers. Has anyone ever tried the so delicious brand and if so does the Whole Foods around you carry it in the store?
Isn't it better to buy the vitamin and calcium fortified nut milk varieties since it's very simple to make nut milk at home that is just almonds and water?? I know that you can get calcium from kale and sesame seeds but those are not a staple every day food item everyone consumes, specially kids
I buy the 1 lb (16 oz ) container of spinach and lettuce from BJ's. The cost is 3.50 -4 $ each. Aldi has mixed organic greens for 3.50 for 1 lb. . We don't have any whole foods or trader Joe's close to us.
Always great content, I buy a lot of similar things. Also, I like WF more than Trader Joe's, without a doubt. Thanks for telling us about "Malk"---I'll look for that.
annie joe if you have Amazon prime you can go to primenow and order online, if you live in a Whole Foods delivery area. Delivery is free. They add a suggested tip. It's well worth it to me. They drop it off at my door, knock, and leave.
My family still eats eggs. We love vital Farms! One of my favorite things about Manhattan is that there are so, so many little health food stores all over. At least that was true years ago. I hope it's still like that. I'm wondering if you have a favorite Corner health food store that you go to.
I’m banned from Whole Foods ever since my wife got into a fistfight with a pregnant woman there. The police had to tase her, pretty embarrassing. I love their crab cakes.
I know we can all choose what is right or wrong, but when I think of eggs I think of a fetus. It's a chick that hasn't formed yet. There are so many options to replace eggs nowadays. Not trying to convince you, just keep the perspective of things.
She is dominately eating a plant based diet but still eats eggs so she isn't vegan. I only eat a plant based diet so I avoid all animal foods but I wouldn't call myself vegan because I don't apply every aspect of veganism outside of food because not every aspect is practical for me.
Andreia Rodrigues Right? People just love their hen periods! They aren't healthy to eat either, but most people are programmed to believe they are. If only they would stop and think about what eggs really are, it's clear that we shouldn't be eating them!
Lee Molloy Nobody is accusing her of not being vegan, because we all know she's not. OP was just just suggesting that she do some more research on the egg industry because she seems to be under the impression that her expensive eggs are actually produced under humane practices. If killing millions of male baby chicks by grinding them up alive, or suffocating them in plastic bags is truly her definition of "humane", she should at least acknowledge it!

There is no humane ways about taking eggs of an hen except if you put sunshine and flowers in the background the practice itself remains the same

This was an eye opener! Much appreciated.

Are you shopping at the Whole Foods on Colombia Avenue NY????
That one is huge. It is food heaven!
This was very helpful. Thank you
Tahini is a relatively new product in my orbit. Can you give some pointers on how to use it?
Katrina Slayton it is really great on salads, I love it drizzled on rice and vegetables too! I think it’s good on everything 🤣👍🏽
@@alexaelizabeth7393 thank you so much! I had seen it mixed in a homemade salad dressing, but i needed other ideas.

Are you a vegetarian? I didn't see any meat products. Great video BTW.

Andreia Rodrigues

I buy my eggs at Aldi 0.64 cents
make your own nut butter easy to do
Here’s all the people coming to say eggs aren’t vegan when she literally said she’s not vegan in other videos
Lee Molloy

@@courtneyblue15 everyone knows that. Just like small animals are ground to death in the crops that are used to make bread.
Fair Trade is why I get my bananas there also. 👍
Why so much plastic in the packaging?
Although you seem to have a “heavy” personality, quite unfriendly, still, your video was very educational and I enjoyed it. I liked it. I commented.
