Thank you for the comments. I'm back in work doing 12hr shifts, I am reading through them all and will get around to replying to everyone eventually. Many thanks, Ryan

I've fallen in love with Wales just recently, wild camping for a month there, it's absolutely gorgeous and I really miss it. Thank you so much for this video, loved it!
This got me all emotional this morning such a beautiful setting and those wild ponies in the rain looked stunning! I always look forward to seeing yourself & Toby Thanks again Ryan 😊❤️
Just found your channel, and you have a new subscriber. It always amazes me that such good food can be made so simply, given that all these cooking shows seem to need an entire kitchen!
Loved seeing the wild horses ! Amazing to see , did a horse back ride into the black mountains with my wife and kids two years ago on holiday in Wales and saw some, amazing. Toby was so well behaved with them my dogs would be freaking out lol James north east England 👍
Brilliant video footage of the valley Ry, we really do live in Paradise… loved the soup don’t fancy the tarp night sleep out though ! Please don’t tell Toby he can’t have another sausage! 😂
12 hrs shifts at work - man you really need breaks like this. What might be uncomfortabe conditions looks like comfort zone for Ryan and Toby! When going gets tough, they get going. Awesome valley with friendly horses and good food and drink. Too bad someone has left two burned patches but you showed how to do better, Ryan. Thanks for sharing this adventure, I love your wellness hotel! Cheers mate and carry on, Michael
We are blessed with living in this country mate and you are showing the world our country it in its utmost beauty. Well done Ryan 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
I had'nt had my breakfast before watching this but it look'd that tasty i would of eat that instead, cant beat a rainy camp mate, great location and stunning drone work once again👍
As soon as I seen those horses I knew the valley you were in. A stunning area of the Beacons, just a shame people can’t take their crap home with them when enjoying the solitude of that area. Another great video…. you can give Janie Oliver a run for his money with that rustic recipe 😄
Thanks, buddy! It's a great place isn't, especially to camp there. Yes, it's a real shame to see somewhere as pristine as this not looked after. Take it easy, mate.
I'm so hungry now!! The soup in the bread bowl looked delicious. I enjoy watching you cook (it's all in the preparation). You are always very organised in everything you do. Thanks for another enjoyable video.
That was an absolute joy to watch this Sunday morning, sat in the warm whilst Storm Ashley passes through. I mentioned it on either IG or FB but your really do eat better when you are out camping than I do at home..lol. You really know how to put a video together to make it enjoyable and interesting, kudos to you. Before you set up the tarp I instantly knew where you were & have to agree with you - its gorgeous there - I normally approach it from the nature reserve over the top or have come to it via Heol Senni road. If you foolow the river through the valley and up the path runs out but 3/4 way up the incline there is a flat area to the left which is a perfect spot for a camp I reckon... it's a little way off the stream but not far off to get water . It affords a great view down into this valley and it really has that secluded spot with a view about it. atb Al
Thanks, Alan. I do love my cooking, especially now we have longer, darker nights, it keeps me occupied. It's a beautiful valley, I do love it there. I will have a scout around for that spot, diolch. ATB, Ryan.
Another great video. I know that valley, and as you say, it's very quiet. The horses were a great addition. It looked very cosy under tge tarp. Great stuff .
That's a fantastic spot you got there, looked very relaxing listening to the rain and watching the fire. Those horses must of smelt that food and was hoping for some left overs 😂.Another great watch that Ry 👍.
Awfull weather mate, great set up once again. That grub looked good, bit hot for me though 😂. I'm glad you were able to get the drone up, what a fantastic place. Thanks, keep the vids coming. 😊
It’s nearly 2.30 am, and I’m wondering if I should get up and make that delicious looking pan of food and thinking which of those ingredients I have available. Great video
Wonderful video, what a absolutely stunning location, cool setup and that food looked amazing, love your dog too, brilliant, good health and safe travels, cheers craig
Great video as always 👌 I am back down the Beacons next weekend so this has got me right in the mood! Well done Toby on the big hike 👍 he looks in great shape!
Excellent video once again. You have some patience and skill. I am amazed by the quality of films people can make on their own these days and this is a good example. I think also that you are a great natural characterful presenter. Well done.
Great camp that was Ryan despite the weather 👍 I gotta say you eat like a king FairPlay. It’s great that you plan out all the food you take and cook, really good. I’d love to do a hammock camp there but I don’t know where it is 🤣 love your dog Toby BTW take care mate and have a great week 👍👍
Wow...my 2nd video of yours, new subscriber! We have rain here all the time, have to learn to deal with it, what an incredible meal you cooked under a tarp in a downpour! Beautiful terrain, great gear, love your dog! And damn that coffee looked good! (Edit) At the risk of sounding gay 😂 I love your accent.
Hello Ryan. Am I correct in saying that was the spot where someone turned up in the night with torches on them? Some nice food and drink under a rainy tarp, beautiful, and the horses coming over was a treat. It’s frustrating to see people not taking care with fires and litter. As you say nature should fix that. Thanks for sharing
Thanks, Serk, it was a great night and nice to see the horses. No, that was up at Upper Neaudd reservoir, that was an extremely wet camp too. ATB, Ryan.
Those rocks were very cool around the firebox. Cracking bit of cooking there too. I need to up my game in the woods lol Looks like this was Friday night. I was in llanwonno woods and the rain was horrendous also.
Finally, someone is camping and not living off overprocessed food. Boil it in a bag or add water and heat. By the way, research the only fats you should be eating. There is nothing wrong with dairy, especially if you can source raw milk products, not processed you see.
Great camp Ryan, soggy but special! Toby is amazing, having the best life😊. The meal looked really interesting, and Irish coffee a real treat. Am in the Southern Hemisphere now adjusting to life upside down again lol, this was a tonic!
Thanks, Amanda. It was very soggy, but an enjoyable night. Nice to hear that you're back home safe, I hope the weather is better there than here. I'll let you know when the Postman has been 🙂

Great video Ryan and Toby. Only recently got to know about your channel and loving the content, stunning scenery with tips and insight you give too. Great stuff👍

The drone footage of the valley was gorgeous! The waterfalls are amazing! I can see why you like to go there. I liked your pour over coffee utensil. Who makes it? I would like to try and find it here in the States. Thanks for the great video!
Thanks, Chris, it's a beautiful valley. It's a Vietnamese coffee filter (phin) and they're quite easy to order online. I also use the Vietnamese coffee, it's really good. I'll be doing a video on how to make it soon.
This might be a weird comment but here goes: your dog is really good at stream crossings. Most people I know have to carry their dogs because they are either too scared or don't know where to place their paws to cross :)
No, not weird at all. I often get people asking how I get Toby over fences and streams as their dogs can't manage. I think it's because he's naturally fit and he's been in the outdoors since he was a pup. Which is good, because I really wouldn't fancy carrying him 😅
Another fantastic video buddy! What a night under the stars listening to that rain with your best buddy and some excellent food to go with! Great video look Forward to the next one mate! 👏
Typical Brecon then....somewhat soggy....😂 I do admire your culinary skills out on the hill, most of your bergan must be full of cooking ingredients! And a horse whisperer to boot now as well 😅
Always soggy these days, Chris. Yes, I had a rather heavy pack with me on this one, but it's nice to have the little luxuries. It was nice to have the horses stop by.
Not a criticism or anything like that, just something i read somewhere about sausages and dogs. They say dogs shouldn’t have many sausages because most of the ingredients are not good for them.. but tbh Toby seems to be doing just fine😂 on them. That soup/stew in fresh bread looked bloody good, i’m way to lazy to prep the food at home, i just take dehydrated shit😮. I’m not preaching to you about your dog, i read it and thought I’d mention it. He’s as fit as a butchers dog anyhow😊
Hello, Phil. I'm glad you mentioned this as I really had no idea. I read up on it and you are right. Because I always buy him good quality sausages, I thought they'd be ok, but it appears there may be ingredients in them that aren't the best for dogs. Luckily it's only a little treat he has now and again. No more sausages for Toby... he'll be devastated when I break it to him 😂
Thank you for the comments. I'm back in work doing 12hr shifts, I am reading through them all and will get around to replying to everyone eventually.
Many thanks, Ryan
I have a question is it legal to take a knife with you when you go camping for woodwork and stuff
@josephsmith9913 In the UK, you can legally carry a non-locking folding pocket knife with a blade length of up to 3 inches. Thanks, Chris, it's a beautiful valley. It's a Vietnamese coffee filter (phin) and they're quite easy to order online. I also use the Vietnamese coffee, it's really good. I'll be doing a video on how to make it soon.
@@wildaboutwales Thank you for your reply!
Lovely welch accent...and video!
Thank you, Mick, and thanks for watching.
Cracking video mate, absolutely class, just subscribed from a fellow RUclipsr 😉👍
Thank you, Phil, much appreciated. Welcome to the channel. ATB, Ryan
Great video look
Forward to the next one mate! 👏
@@DcreedondecoratorCheers, buddy...it was a top night out.
What boots do you use? I'm looking to get a new pair 😊
They're Meindl boots (Kansas GTX).
Good grief, haven't heard the word Bergen in 24 odd years...... strange how a word reminds you of blisters, sleep deprivation and "STAND TO"......
@@mjona1754 😂😂😂 know the feeling! I left in 2001...😢
Bloody hell, did you have a chuck wagon?😄
What can I say, Denis, I love my grub 😂
@@wildaboutwales Yes it looked good, I;m just too old to carry the Kitchen🍖🍗🌰🍔
Try frying off the flour first before adding any cream or stock. Should taste even better
Thanks for the tip 🙂
Great spot though I can’t think where it is
I won't give it away on here, Nigel, but it's in an area of Ystradfellte, it's a beautiful spot.
@@wildaboutwales I will get my google earth going and find it I like a challenge lol 😂
@@st1ffee Fan Frynych is nearby 😉
Hi bud what is the fry pan you use
Hello, Peter. It's the MSR quick skillet pan... MSR Quick Skillet Pan - Lightweight Frying Pan amzn.eu/d/eBZn9IH
What type of frying pan are you using for your fire cooks?
It's the MSR Quick Skillet. There's a link in the video description.
No more sausages for Toby... he'll be devastated when I break it to him 😂
@@wildaboutwales now i feel proper shit 😖
It's the garlic and onions that you really have to look out for, really bad for dogs .great comment BTW and thank you for it
@@philjones3335 don't be daft, best we know if they're bad for him. He'll just have to have steak now
Are you a chef in your work?
No, definitely not, I just enjoy cooking.
@@wildaboutwales No doubt there's reason for my question. It's inspiring to watch you cook, honestly.
@@wpegram9868 thank you. You can't beat cooking some good grub whilst out on a camp .
