0:41: Even Kermit finds this to be distasteful. That’s the kind of self-aware humor I enjoy.
Are you gonna do all those moments? Even make part 2?
Shut up, Ugly, you're a fucking disgrace to Courage The Cowardly Dog.
very weird how these are intact on Disney+
@@itsjoshua2508 they have disclaimers in front of the episodes they appear in
An entire episode's worth of moments from episodes that feature the Disney+ disclaimer.
It was nice to see Statler and Waldorf contribute.
@garthdavis4320
Statler & Waldorf are the Original Grumpy Old Men.
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Me the resident mixed race person of color:
*laughing at all of these* honestly people need to chill out. Comedy is an art form and should not be policed.
fr
As an American, I approve of this comment.
As a White man, I don't need your permission to enjoy racist humor.
As an Asian-Australian man, I agree with this. I enjoy Statler and Waldorf's number and it's a shame people are easily offended today.
@@RabbiHerschel good I’m not saying you do :-)
i still think is funny (and a little stupid) that an entire episode gets a disclaimer for the "indian love call" segment that doesn't last 10 seconds
I thought it was because of the Turkish song.
Were those both in the same episode? If so, then the combination of the two would probably warrant a disclaimer.
Is nobody gonna mention that Fozzie roasted Statler and Waldorf for taking his spot as the bad comedian and vice versa
That dancing cheese would probably be the best character on the show, better than both the salami and the bologna combined
I am proud to be the first to recognize your excellent Wacky Delly reference.
Well played! Give this person a reward!
This is great, brings back some memories. I remember watching the Muppet Show in syndicate all the time in my youth because I was too young in the 70s to remember much of when it was first run. Still, what a brilliant show it was.
0:50 - Translated *"Insidious amphibian!" "This will be the last time I'll be working on show business with you!"*
Oh I thought that was mock Chinese like the Swedish Chef
We used to have more freedom back in the Muppet Show days.
Family Guy and South Park today get away with much, MUCH worse.
So does It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Robot Chicken does too.
For the most part, it's part of the joke how offensive what is being portrayed is. I don't think that was really the intention with most of the stuff on the muppet show.
"Ah, Turkey." That's clearly the Taj Mahal in the background. India and Turkey are not interchangeable. And this is coming from someone who loves the Muppet Show.
appreciate your work!!!
8:27 Oklahoma in Yokohama!
As a Hispanic, I kinda find these funny.
As a fellow Hispanic I find these hysterical
As a Hispanic I feel cheated that I didn't get to grow up with this show
I mean the Fozzie dressing up as a girl is actually funny ngl
If anything, it's a shoutout to the drag community (in a way, that's what I thought). I guess Disney isn't fond of that, huh?
Surprised they didn't complain about the Lobster Banditos
I think Gonzo's depiction of Spanish is far more offensive than him not wanting to dance with male cheese.
Just shout vaguely Spanish words
The only episode I can respectfully understand them pulling or censoring in any way is Chris Langham
?
@@BlamoStramo en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Langham#Arrest_and_conviction
For context
That guy sucked
I miss it when the entertainment industry wasn't corrupted with whiny little kids that would get offended by stuff isn't even meant to be offensive. It's hard to not cancelled or slapped in the fact for even just saying a swear word, everything is so politically correct now it's super painful and I hate the fact it gets worse all the time. This is the type of stuff I grew up with as a child, even the "offensive" stuff would leave me rolling in tears. God forbid if George Carlin lived long enough to experience this for himself, he wouldn't stand for it at all.
The muppets was for adults (originally).
We'll get it back, whiny little kids will become all but extinct.
@Rene Astle
The only problem is there are new ones born every minute. What do we do about those?
@@reneastle8447 sorry to tell you but you guys are the ones becoming extinct. Racist or offensive comedy just isn’t it anymore. Times change. Stop living in the past.
@@lovelightstarboy True, nobody wants that kind of comedy. I prefer clean comedy too.
Removing the Chris Langham episode? That's respectable!
Removing episodes because of music licenses? That's fair.
Removing practically Statler and Waldorf's Spotlight? No thank you!
None of the sketches featured in this compilation were removed. The ones that were (for music licencing) are featured here: ruclips.net/video/Fntz15gUkYk/видео.html
But it WOULD be weird for Gonzo to dance with a male cheese! I mean seriously though.
19:57 - i know the context and content, But i genuiely Love this song
Right? That song is a morsel of absolute happiness.
Same
Gonzo won't dance with a male cheese but he seemed to be attracted to Big Bird when *he* was a guest on the show.
But then again, Big Bird is supposed to be only six years old, and that's just ew.
Don't overthink this stuff.
Well, they ARE owned by Disney now.
Didn’t Big Bird kiss the guest star on that episode? I think they used his character more as an adult version of BB rather than his Sesame Street version. I wouldn’t overthink that one
Love this!
Seriously, they're flagging fat jokes? That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life! People need to learn to take a joke. And this is coming from a guy who is himself rather fat.
Disney isn't, but for some reason certain fans seem to think there's something wrong with them.
@@2011supergamer as Garfield would say, "I'm fat and I'm proud!"
@Peter Reilly see, that's funny
I think it’s hilarious but I can get why they flagged it
Really wish they would have said chubby chops at least once tho😂
I also don't see problem with fozzie in drag considering he is doing his mother could see him perform in any capacity. Which fails because his mother has been asleep for God knows how long.
In the sketch, "Miss Piggy" (Fozzie) is being sexually harassed. That's probably more "problematic" than dressing as a woman.
@@djm5687 I suppose. Though I don't recall seeing a disclaimer for the Cleo Laine episode. Maybe I haven't been keep track of the disclaimer than I thought. Also didn't something like the happen in the Rudolph Nureyeve episode?
It’s the sexual harassment
You forgot the gypsy sketch from the James Coco episode and "Swanee" from the Crystal Gayle episode.
@Peter Reilly The Muppet Show version of "Swanee" contains characters dressed as German stereotypes.
Beautiful.
Why would people complain about Mad Dogs and Englishmen? I thought it was a pretty good song.
Me too
Politically incorrect or not, that burlesque number was old school fire!
Long live political incorrectness!
:D :D Oklahoma has turned into Yokohama!
I'm just watching this not noticing anything about what's correct or what's political, I'm just enjoying the international humor.
Its always humans performing for a muppet audience.
24:57
Best Part Yet
“The gang gets racist”
Muppets based moments
Kermit guessed right minute and half number changed
9:45
Funny as Hell
Is that Peter Sellers as the Gypsy
Yep
Yes it is.
piggy getting a little bulgy, kermit will be a flat frog ( by her chop)
19:58 Dogs wearing pith helmets.
Nothing un-p.c. here, All funny stuff.
I think the whole thing with Rudolph Nehru
Anyone triggered by any of this is too hypersensitive.
I think there’s a Rolf joke missing.
I think we need to recognize that there is comedy, and then there's meanness (racism, xenophobia, misogyny, etc).
Sometimes comedy is funny, and even people who are a part of the group that is being satirized laugh at it. But, then there are other times when the attempt at comedy goes too far with harmful stereotypes, and it hurts the group being portrayed in the comedy. What's funny is subjective to each individual, unless it's meant to be mean & harmful to a particular group. Some things are downright funny & sometimes things are downright mean & racist. It comes down to a mix of intent of the production, and how much the target of the comedy can accept. I think we can probably agree that Jim Henson Productions & The Muppet Show had no malicious intent against any particular group of people, & the results of their skills, creativity, & writing were then & continue to be funny. But, if at any time they crossed a line, then the target of their comedy has every right to complain. Try to laugh as much as possible everyday. It's good for you.
The best part about being politically incorrect is that you can actually enjoy things
@Peter Reilly I never saw it that way. I just hated it because it was a complete butchering of history by making everyone black, gay, or both
As all white men want above all else, to do what they want especially when they hurt someone that they don't consider important.
When are you going to get back to work on the compilations? I really want a Muppet Labs compilation!
Y'know for famillies.
As a reminder: if felt puppets making harmless jokes offend you in any way, there is something wrong with you.
@Peter Reilly You can disagree if you like, but that doesn't change the fact that these are just glorified hand puppets and if you can't handle those jokes, maybe you should go back to kindergarten.
I've never believed that society should be held accountable to the most fragile of its members.
As a reminder; if people being upset over traumatic events or racism annoys you in any way there’s something wrong with you
(seriously not everything is about you get it through your bunker of a skull)
@@redwhines2858 It's just a joke. People don't have the right to claim to be "traumatized" by something which happened decades or centuries before they were born. Get that into your head.
@@Nonamearisto how did I know you were gonna say that XD anyway keep your opinions to yourself skinhead
Oh wait it’s just a joke you can’t be offended
@@redwhines2858
You getting offended over jokes and overinflating your "trauma" is making things about YOU ya hypocritical dunce.
Funny
Disney+ has this warning disclaimer saying “This Program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or culture”.
Eh, politically incorrect, but still funny and silly.
What happens if the muppets had actual child actors for guest stars?
Brooke Shields
I mean other than Brooke Shields.
@@alextavalesthemuppetmaniac5607 I'm pretty sure she was their youngest guest.
Like whom?
I kinda get the political issues with these clips, but the dancing cheese clip, I don't get how its bad
On Disney+, the episode containing that clip got a content warning but for the longest time I couldn't figure out why. Then I assumed it was because of Gonzo's comment about "dancing with a male cheese being 'weird'".
Ahhh I get it
@@rexy5650 Don't the male cheese thing is really offensive. I think the joke is that he thinks the male is weird but not the fact its you know, cheese. Unless I'm missing some slang.
@@samp.8099 Thats still a hella stretch. The joke's obviously more directed at Gonzo for not thinking there's anything weird about dancing with a cheese in the first place.
@@2011supergamer That was just my assumption, it might have been something else.
Check out bay of pigs watch on muppets tonight
Funny as f#*! and definitely politically incorrect
Laughed my arse off😂😂😂😂
.
Holy fuck this was hilarious.
Anyone offended by these needs to be locked in a madhouse.
Especially the Politically Correct Police .
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Humor is neither right nor left, and very little is truly off limits. When people start remembering that and not caring about shitter shattered dickweed assholes who want to shout WAH OFFENSIVE, the humor and entertainment industry will recover.
I'm so politically incorrect I laughed the whole way through. Peter Sellers skit has a real goat in the background. With the Gonzo sketch I guess the cheese was gouda enough. (Sorry!) The James Coburn skit was Top Ramen.
Gj
... Wow people really take offense to this? People need to get lives. Pretty soon we won't be able to joke about anything, and I'm saying this as a person who is as liberal as they come.
based
great memories before snowflakes took over censorship
Hilarious. Screw Disney.
See definition of Humor or Humour. That explains comedy, so stop being a hypocrite and laugh a little as nobody is perfect. You're telling me you've never laughed at a joke that pokes fun at others, however when the comedian or show in this case hits many races/cultures, it is acceptable as the topic of laughter because of the 'poking' diversity given to all in the audience? HUMAN HYPOCRISY!
This program includes negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures. These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now. Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together.
25:24 they look like podlings mixed with the grudge!
Hey I'm old, a man, and fat but I still can handle the jabs about it all.
This was back when people actually had a sense of humor and weren't offended by every little thing. Personally I don't really care about who's offended by stuff, now I'm not intentionally rude BUT generalized humor is great AND I'LL STILL LAUGH, SHARE, AND REPEAT stuff that's funny.
