Can’t imagine a young player who can play under huge pressure like this. He seems no fear of playing against Djokovic, even in 3rd set tiebreak. Most of players would be crushed but he showed that he’s different. He is the new 👑

Carlos has shown amazing ability ( he is still working on and improving in this area) on his mental stamina within a match to keep on problem solving and coming with solutions. He is resilient. Just like losing triple championship point but winning the tie break in 3rd set.

What an amazing match. I wondered how Alcaraz would respond after choking to serve out the match while up 40-0. Most players including top players fail to recover and I've seen that many times in tennis. But this magnificent young man stayed strong against a G.O.A.T. Now that is another level. Djokovic played an amazing match to get to the finals and he even said his knees were fine and not a factor in his loss. He just experienced what Carlos Alcaraz playing at his best looks like without any distractions or dips during the course of three sets. Sinner beat Novak in Australia in a similar fashion but lost the tiebreak but not Carlos on grass. He was absolutely dialed in. Novak even said he's never seen or played this version of Carlos ever before. Novak didn't make any excuses for his loss. A testament to his greatness. He just acknowledged greatness being the G.O.A.T himself. Watch Novak's press conference after the match and it's all there. I hope Carlos can continue with this level. He's found the perfect balance of speed, power and touch that embodies his game.

Carlito's peak when he's honed his service and ironed out the frivolities that make him do unforced errors will come in 2 or 3 years . The scary thought is , by then , he might have already 9 or 10 slams to his name . For context let's just check the age of Nole when he won his 4th slam ....He was 3 years older at 24 .
With the inevitable demise of Nole's game and the only threat of Sinner in the horizon l believe Carlos might really have a shot at destroying every record .

Alcaraz has proven that he is a very versatile player. Able to play really well on clay, grass & hard court. Unlike Swiatek who seems to have a horrible track record on grass, at least for now. I do like seeing young players stepping up & achieving greatness in both the men's & women's games. For a moment it's starting to feel like it's the battle of the oldies.

You make a very good point by comparing Alcaraz and Swiatek on grass....she lacks the variety and creativity that he's shown, ergo his success on grass. She'll get there.

it was not how well Carlos played but how poorly Nole played. Carlos played 90% of his ability while Nole only played his 65% of his. no idea what went wrong. but considerring his recent injury, it is a great achievement already for a play at age 37. no idea if he will win another major, but, it would be extremely hard as he's getting older. it becomes harder and harder to beat the young guns, let along he has to go through Carlos and Sinner. hope father time gives him some breaks, let him win a couple more before retirement.

Hahahaha... Alcaraz played 110% , what then happens if you are dominated it affects the way you play , your rating is affected by your opponent , if it is 65% it had everything to do with Alcaraz playing elite. He was making some super shots, Nole was taken apart, taken to the cleaners, maybe you have not realized how effective Alcaraz is when he raises his game, he has variety and it is difficult to get into a rhythmn where you can second guess his shots because he has everything, he can attack, he can defend, he serves well, and has great touch. The Big 3 all in one. Most complete player ever. It can make the great Djoko look ordinary that's what happens. Djoko would not have played wimby if he was not fit , if he felt he does not have a chance to win, djoko was fit and confident , but he witnessed another level today ...
