      How many applications does it take to get a nice blowy tan? Does the tan gets darker after few days of using this product? 😁

    • @YouloveDJ
      @YouloveDJ 2 года назад

      @@kamilagrieve6555 you can only get so dark with the use of a single product unfortunately in my experience. I’m a avid self tanner user & used to work at a tanning salon. I’ve noticed that with self tanners you do get a noticeable color change but after using it consistently there’s like a plateau you can’t get any darker until you get another self tanner suited and made for darker color. Like obviously there’s light, medium, tan & hella tan levels etc. you gotta go up when you’re as tan as each one will go. Hope that helps haha

    You should try the tanologist tanning water spray in medium to top off your hands, it works perfectly. Just 2-3 sprays with a mit before bed and the next morning, your hands blend in perfectly.

      I love the St Tropez facial spray for this same spot (and for my face). Don’t know how the two compare in terms of price or accessibility, but I’m keen to try the tanologist one when my St Tropez one runs out! Do you find it works well on the face too?

    I’ve tried Bali Body self tanners. I personally think it’s a great self tanner, it smells nice in my opinion and they have a tan water “toner” that you can either leave on or wash off after a couple of hours or so depending on how dark you want it to look. And it’s fairly affordable.

      @@BlessedMomfmTexas I use their gradual face lotion and I'd definitely recommend it. Their products are my favorite. If you're looking at the mousse start lighter, their ultra dark is legit dark (which hasn't been the case for me with other brands).

    I am currently using the Isle of Paradise self tanning drops to add into my body moisturizer and really like it and it doesn’t have that self tanner smell and blends well into the skin. I even add a couple of drops sometimes to the Jurgens Wet Self Tanning lotion to punch up the color when I need more immediate results. I imagine it’s comparable to the tan Luxe body drops. I’m also loving the Tan Luxe hyaluronic serum as well. It’s effortless and perfect.

    I noticed that the back of your hands were pretty pale in comparison to the rest of your arms. Given that you mentioned that you use your hands and not a glove to apply the self tanner, you have to wash your hands after using is. I would just recommend a fluffy makeup brush to apply to the back of your hands and fingers to blends it in. Just to make it more seamless and natural looking. Not criticizing just a helpful tip if you needed know.

    I noticed that you didn't use self tanner on your hands, a trick that i learned recently is to use a self tanner that you spray on your hands (i use the st tropez self tan purity), put your hand in a claw and then spray over it and it'll be perfect, same if you can't reach your back !

    Being very fair, Dark tanning not only looks wrong on me, streaking or missed spots really show up so I just like to give myself a "glow" I like Jergens gradual tan or tanologist drops and also Nivea glow lotion every two days with a Mitt. I use a med tan spray for my back, then a pad with a tiny amount of lotion to skim over back of hands. Gives a healthy look for you fair skinned ladies.

    can you clarify when you reapply self tanner every 2-3 days, do you exfoliate and remove the existing tan or do you just layer over the self tanner you already have? thanks! i love st. tropez.. but man, they have so many in their collection.. oh and does sunscreen break down the self tanners you've listed above?

      Susan specifically said (if I remember correctly) that she likes to exfoliate regularly on her body which I why she reapplies every 2-3 days. Personally I do not exfoliate my body regularly and find my self tanner will last 5-7 days until I truly need to reapply.

    • @Dodgerchik562
      @Dodgerchik562 3 года назад +7

      In my experiences with self tanning, I usually shave and exfoliate for the initial application, and then reapply tanner after 4-5 days, if needed and I don’t re-exfoliate, I haven’t had any issues with streaks or patchiness etc. I used the regular traditional blue St Tropez bottle, as well as B Tan. I mix the two or layer it on top of one another depending on how tan I want to look at that time. The only two pricey self tanners that have worked for me are the original St Tropez and the Loving Tan. The Inexpensive tanners work just as good, if not better depending on what finish you’re going for. And no, sunscreen doesn’t affect the tanner from coming off. Hope that helps a bit

    I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Fake bake Flawless darker spray. You can find it at Ulta! I live in FL and have tried literally every spray tanner on the market. It’s an Instant bronze, dries down immediately, never orange. I can apply this and go to work and it doesn’t look crazy or feel sticky. I’m super translucent pale 😆 so it’s the brand that gets the darkest on my skin with absolutely no streaks or splotches. Spreading the summer glow love!🤗🔆✨

    I've been applying sunless tanner every week for 2 years now and I still don't feel like I've MASTERED it! It seems like every week, at least one body part has a messed up part. Also I've only recently had certain areas of my body not want to develop properly. It'll look great when the color guide is on but once rinsed it's like the tanner didn't develop there 🤷🤦 I'm so ready to just give up but I look like a completely different person when I'm pale

      I use tanologist tanning water spray in medium. I do 2-3 sprays max on the mit and then apply to my hands. Buff over my wrists and knuckles with a large fluffy makeup brush. The medium shade makes the hands just dark enough to look natural and blend in and not turn out too dark

    • @girloftheo.r.1096
      @girloftheo.r.1096 3 года назад +1

      Nope, it doesn’t interfere or trigger with the skins melanin production. If anything it may even out skin tone and make melasma less noticeable. The time it may trigger it is if you’re allergic to the DHA in sunless tanners so do a patch test just to be safe. And then always remember to wear sunscreens with high UVA protection because the UV rays are what’s going to trigger the melasma and sunspots and sunless tanner doesn’t offer any UV protection. Hope that helps! X
