I hope so. Stipe vs Jones was Stipe vs Stipe and Jones was the medium. It was a man in his 40s who retired from MMA essentially, 4 years prior. He was working a full time job while his opponent, the GOAT Jon Jones was training and building training connections and plans. Stipe had to borrow vacation days from coworkers to even make the fight camp, that alone adds a stress of knowing you’re borrowing someone’s time off and will have to cover it back. His last fight was such a metaphor for life, the likes of which I do not believe I have ever seen as crystallized and apparant. A man, vs his own choices and path in life. Life will always win when you fight it. We can win when we play by it’s true rules.

He's beaten three current UFC Hall of Famers, at least another four future Hall of Famers, seven total UFC champions, and his nine-year unbeaten streak at heavyweight is unlikely to ever be replicated.
