I remember being taught this way when i was youger! I think using the board and ink made it special and interesting it was not like school and i was so excited every time i got to erase the board and write a new verse! I am 24 btw so this method was still used in algeria fairly recetnly. No idea if they are still using it now.

MashaAllah its nice to remember da old days of memorising quran 🥰🥰🥰though in somali even the youngest girl wears a proper hijab covers her hair n lng dress bt here thats not da case bt even though as lng as u memorise n become hafidh its a blessing
