Greatly reduce the stopping distance in your 2015-2023 Mustang GT or Ecoboost with this Ford Performance Shelby GT350R brake upgrade kit! Your factory brakes aren't meant to keep up with the rigors of track session after track session on a hot summer day. Now you can overhaul your brake system with original equipment Shelby GT350R brake components! Ford Performance compiled this kit to give you GT350R braking performance without the hassle of hunting down the hard to find components! The massive caliper and rotor combination in this kit will provide the confidence you need to stop immediately whether you're in traffic or on the track!
Complete Kit
Ford Performance's 2015-2023 Mustang GT350R kit features two 6 piston Brembo front calipers, and two 4 piston Brembo rear calipers, in the signature gloss red finish the GT350R came equipped with. Two 15.5", cross-drilled front brake rotors and two 14.9" cross-drilled rear brake rotors ensure you get the bite you need to stop on a dime! New brake pads, caliper adapters, and needed hardware are included for a complete installation!
Half Shafts & Knuckles
In addition to the brake components, Ford Performance includes new GT350R spec half shafts and knuckles. The GT350R half shafts will support more power compared to your stock half shafts. The new knuckles come preinstalled with spherical bearings which add strength to the independent rear suspension.
Hub Note
Must reuse factory rear hub assemblies or purchase new ones.
Fitment Note
-Stock 2015-2023 Mustang, Mustang EcoBoost and Mustang GT 17", 18", 19” (Including non and Performance Pack) and 20" wheels will not clear the GT350R brake calipers.
SVE R350 Wheel Fitment Note
Because of the increase in rear track width, this brake kit adds, you must run the 19x10 +35mm (Normal Offset) R350 wheel in the front and the 19x11 +60mm (GT350 Offset) wheel in the rear.

This kit will fitting in the mach 1?
Awesome video guys, thanks for taking the time to put this together
Cool video.. bought a set of Gt350 calipers and wanted to do this upgrade. This is the first install I've seen. Very helpful..
thereissomecoolstuff did you have to buy the same wheels in the video or where you able to find different wheels that fit with these brakes.
I bought a set of gt350 wheels and tires off of Craigslist. To do the back you need a new spindle, caliper, rotor. It's was about $800 in parts. The front was rotor, modification bracket from full tilt boogie racing so it was about $600. The calipers are dirt cheap compared to the rest of the stuff. $600 vs $1400..
@@thereissomecoolstuff yo, trying to do this swap you have a way I could contact you brother?
Front fits on V6 with zero issues. The rear I haven’t tried.
That kit is legit...talk about beefing up the rear hub assembly. Front looks like a cake install.
Good thing mine came that way from FORD. 😆
Please more videos on gt350 upgrades
Sorry to beat a dead horse here but when you discuss proper offset are you saying that having a 40mm offset will cause brake to wheel clearance issues or that the wheel would stick it too far?
Keith - That is correct. As stated in the video, +60mm of offset in the rear is ideal for this brake kit. Of course, we can't guarantee what wheels are going to work and which ones will not. Hope this helps! -Landan
@@latemodelrestoration thanks for the reply. I'll know this week whether or not my SVE S350 20"x10" wheels clear the calipers. Will update here...
So I can confirm that the SVE 350 wheels (20x10) are compatible with this kit. You end up with a slight poke with the rear wheels.
I can't find one video on 4 piston brake and rotor installation . All are Brembo video installations.
Really I think some most cost effective rotors that can be resurfaced would be a great way to hit on the S550 guys and REALLY get the GT350 guys buying some. My rotors cost $220 a corner and they aren't possible to turn. I'd buy a set NOW if I could.
can you guys make a video in the track or maybe a test runs to see how much improvement you have gotten with this upgrade? I really want this on my 2018 Gt
I will be happy to pass this idea along for further evaluation.
@@latemodelrestoration can dey fit s197 in the front
dream-team brakes....nice!
Can we get the full story on the differences between GT, EB vs. V6 cars?
They say this kit does not fit on V6 Mustang. Well, I installed it in the front with no issues. So it means there might be problems in the rear? Or is it just nonsense, and this kit is going to fit all Mustangs?
@@rokaskundrotas4805 at some point i bugged the tech line at Ford performance. They mentioned the ABS module as being the possible issue. If one is buying this kit, adding the ABS module from a GT350 to it is a negligible expense.
what else has to be replaced to make it work with the V6 ? It must be doable..
What suspension is that ? The ford performance track handling pack ??
Yes, that's the Ford Performance track handling pack. We have a video on that it as well. Links below. -Landan

Lately I've been telling myself to start working on the car myself to save money. But this video reminded me of just how much easier it is to pay somebody else to do it.
dont be lazy lol
any idea if this kit will work with PP2 wheels and not push them out?
@18:32 No they will not work with the PP2 wheels. You'll need a wheel that has a GT350R spec to fit this kit. Please give us a call at 1-866-507-3786 for any further questions or concerns - Jude H. - Social Media/Events Coordinator
Will a Shelby CS-14 wheel fit the brake kit
Front: 20x9.5 +40 offset
Rear: 20x11 +50 offset
If these wheels are not the specific options for a GT350/R model, then they will not. Because of the increase in rear track width, this brake kit adds, you must run the 19x10 +35mm (Normal Offset) R350 wheel in the front and the 19x11 +60mm (GT350 Offset) wheel in the rear.
@@latemodelrestoration thank you
Can the complete Brembo brake kit: Ford perfomance M-2300-YBK be installed or retrofitted, on Daytona coupe FFR with ADVAN Racing RS-DF Progressive 18x10 +35 5x114.3 front wheels and ADVAN Racing RS-DF Progressive 18x11 rear wheels? + 15 5x114.3? Although the kit features mid shafts, I am going to install Ford Performance M-4130-MA mid shafts to it and also Ford Performance Wheel Hubs W/ ARP Wheel Studs Kit Front/ Rear Mustang 2015-2024 CJ's Part Number: FPHSK1, and Ford Performance Differential Housing Super 8.8" Loaded Iron With 3.55 Gears 2015-2024 M-4001-88355B.
I would like to mount this kit since the Daytona coupe will have 700HP 650ft-lb power. I am in the middle of construction, so there is nothing to remove, just place.
Thanks for your time.
There a lot of variables with your scenario. Because of that, I can't confirm or deny that the M-2300-YBK brake kit will work with your application. Thanks for understanding. -Landan
I’ve been searching all over for videos or pictures from people who’ve done this. The GT should have brembos on all 4 just like the camaro, challenger and charger. Don’t know why they always cheap out on the brakes and transmission.
My thoughts exactly! -Landan
How about total weight of all set? Shipping weight?
290
I’m planning on getting this kit but I have a different wheel set will ferrada fr4 wheels fit with this kit fronts are 20x9 and rears 20x10 and front tire size 255/35 and rear 305/30
Hey there! Since we do not know the offset on your wheels, it's hard to make that call if they will fit. You will need to measure and make sure that the offset that you are running right now will fit with these brakes before purchasing.
@@latemodelrestoration oh ok thank you
correct me if im wrong. did you guys use the SVE R350 Wheels? i want to purchase this up grade and wheels but website said wheels would not fit.
Hey there, we installed the the GT350R spec wheel for the rears to fit the brake design. @18:33 Landan explains it a little more on why that is needed.
@@latemodelrestoration ok so i can buy the rear SVE R350 wheels 19x11 and they will fit ok with the brake upgrade? i have the gt premium.
You will need to purchase the 19x11 GT350/R spec to fit with the brake setup: lmr.com/item/SVE-177912H/sve-r350-wheel-black-19x11-15-18
@@latemodelrestoration will this brake system work with automatic? with regards to E-Brake
Ive been on the website for you all and so far all the R350 wheels say they don't fit the gt350 which means they don't have the offset for the brakes. I've seen only a +50mm offset for the R350 wheels so that means they will stick out too far in the rear. What size and offset are the wheels in this video? On the site it has a video of a gt350 with these wheels but all of the options say they don't fit the 350 which tells me they wouldn't fit correctly with these brakes.
Per the fitment note in the description: "Because of the increase in rear track width, this brake kit adds, you must run the 19x10 +35mm (Normal Offset) R350 wheel in the front and the 19x11 +60mm (GT350 Offset) wheel in the rear. (See link above for SVE R350 Wheels)"

Thank you I just found it. I like the R350 wheels but I was definitely hoping to have other options besides a gt350 style wheel. This may be my only choice.
I didnt know the rears had drum brake for the parking brake, I thought it was the caliper itself! Lol
is the gt350 brakes are comparable to the brembo gt kit in a performances terms ?
The fronts will be fairly similar but the rear will be 100% different on these vs a standard GT model. This larger 4 piston design out rear will give the vehicle a better overall stopping capability over the stock single piston design the GT features.
The GT 350 brakes have better cooling since they're drilled rotors
What about using spacers for the rear?
You could use spacers in the rear, but the wheels will poke further than the fender. This may cause rubbing issues when driving.
So why do I sometimes see these kits offered with black calipers? Is it a different kit?
The true M2300Y kit is only offered in the red finish. The factory GT350 (non R model) has the black finish only.
Late Model Restoration okay so it wouldn’t be possible to get this kit in a different caliper color from you folks? Aftermarket paint would be the way to go?
This is correct, we only have this kit through Ford Performance in the red finish
what is the specification of the wheels and tires of this Review ??
The wheels are 19x10 +35mm (Normal Offset) R350 wheel in the front and the 19x11 +60mm (GT350 Offset) wheel in the rear due to the brake upgrade kit. As for the tires, we have the Nitto NT555 G2 Tires installed. The specs are 285/35/19 for the front and 305/35/19 for the rear.
Will 2019 Performance Pack 1 wheels fit the rears?
Hello Sean.
In our experience, no, they will not. Here is the fitment note that we advertise:
Because of the increase in rear track width, this brake kit adds, you must run the 19x11 +60mm (GT350 Offset) wheel in the rear. The Factory offset and size in 19x9.5 may cause the wheel to poke out past the fender.
What is the difference on the V6?
There’s isn’t one.
Simon Castillo he says this doesn’t fit the V6 models.
@VGAPR Garage He says the spindle has a different design so the rotors don't sit properly.
This kit was designed for the GT350R. There is no V6 version of the GT350R.
What coil covers are those?

nice video but to be honest if you could spend $4k on brakes you coulda spent it on a GT350 instead...
What tire size combination would you recommend?
Thank you for your comment! At the 18;33 mark, Landon addresses the wheel offset necessities. As for the tires, we used the Nitto NT555 G2 285/35/19 up front and a 305/35/19 out back!
Why are cars so hard to work on
Will this fit 2014 gt?
I am sorry, but this kit is designed for the S550 platform only.
this is a lil to much for this car. the 6 pot brembo is fine at thr track.
Way too much work!
What if you only want to do the rear brakes. The 4piston fronts are adequate or PP1 you already have 6 pistons. All I want is to get rid of the ugly cheap 2 piston rears.
You'll have to do what the video implies. There is no other way to adapt the GT350 rear brakes. And I agree with you, the rear calipers on V6/EcoBoost/GT cars are ugly. -Landan
