Thanks for doing these man! I've had a baritone for a couple years, and I'm still getting the hang of making it sound not-too-bassy when I'm recording. This stuff is super helpful
I appreciate these so much, chat pile is amazing. I'd love if you did this for old tracks like Ratboy, there's something about the first chords in the first verse that makes it sound like its crying out in agony and I absolutely love it .
Just wanted to say that “solo” section is absolutely insane. 🔥So chaotic and deliciously dissonant. Can’t wait to see you guys at Roadburn next year🤘 Oh yeah, question. Do you use pitch bend/harmonize pedals in your setup for extra dissonance?
Hey Luther - big fan of your playing. I have a question re. your sound. Have you ever played with single coil pickups in your band? I have a baritone tele and have been learning the songs you've posted, and am thinking of getting a humbucker in the bridge position to get a heavier sound. I guess my question is, have you always used humbuckers in Chat Pile?
Thank you for making these! It's very interesting to hear the parts unplugged. Any chance you could show "Why" on a future video? I'm curious about the arpeggiated part on the chorus
Hi! I was wondering if you’d be willing to share what pedals/amps you’ve been using? Sorry if you get this question a lot, I’m just curious because it sounds amazing
Dude the string closest to your face is the 6th string, the big sibling. We let the little guy win the race -- that's why the thinnest string is called string 1.
@@luther.manholeDidn’t mean to be so harsh on ya. I’m self taught too. But-I recently got a job teaching guitar. So I’m a stickler for rules haha. Love your style Luther, you make Chat Pile amazing.
A true man of the people
Frownland's intro riff may be one of my favorite riffs on a song ever, thank you so much for the breakdown!

ive pretty much only owned guitars with humbuckers ya, i just prefer the sound
Jesse Matthewson of KEN Mode plays a Telecaster with stock single coil pickups. Shows how you don't need humbuckers for a brutal, heavy sound

Appreciate these very much dude! See you guys in Pomona next year
these are sick as hell. would love to see one of these for garbage man or rat boy.
your riffs rock brotha
Thanks for doing this man!
One thing I'd love to learn is how you get your guitar tone. What pedals do you use?
New guitar?
I own a purple sparkle Squier Baritone Tele that I modded with Railhammer humbuckers and other stuff.
It's beautiful and it's a beast!
Any chance of a Slaughterhouse video? I can't nail down the variations you play after "Haunted Building" 👻
So many cool ideas on this one!
Please make one for No Way Out
Luther is the GOAT!

What's your favorite distortion/OD for rhythm stuff?
i have pretty much only used a Suhr Riot for the past 10+ years
@@luther.manholeholy shit I have the same pedal and I don’t know many people who use it
since you've been outed as a dwarf fortress fan, have you ever tried song of syx or rimworld?

Is that a new Jericho? Is the Super Sport OK?
@@zanzabar4ky7 yep, just needed a new back up that can take a beating on tour.
What does the ‘Metronome placed delicately between his butt cheeks’ Bass guitarist play to this song?
