Another month, another Monthly Report.
1. Saturn Studio
Dominicentek, who has worked on various Saturn updates with lead developer sm64rise since 2023, is developing a new custom branch of the tool with an altered user interface and a few new features currently not planned for the main version. These features include mouse-based camera controls, loading multiple player models in a scene at once, and the ability to record scenes with transparent backgrounds. Saturn Studio is still in an early development phase, so users should expect occasional bugs, and more additions and fixes are still on the way.
To get transparent videos to work, you will need to install FFmpeg. These are two of many guides available for how to do this on Windows: www.geeksforge... and Linux: www.geeksforge....
Videos with transparency are in the .webm format, which is not natively supported in VEGAS Pro or Adobe After Effects, and may not work with other high-end video editors. The video editor Shotcut was used to put part of the footage 0:55 in together.

2. Pluto Controversy
Evidence related to romhack player and SM64 modding community moderator Pluto's grooming of an underaged fan in 2021 was brought to light in a "public service announcement" document spread around the SM64 modding community. The inappropriate relationship lasted over a period from February to March of 2021. The expose piece also highlights the apparent coverup of events relating to this relationship after some pieces of knowledge began to surface.
[The document stated that Pluto is a moderator in the Simpleflips and Romhacking.com Discord servers. As of February 1, 2023, however, Pluto is not a moderator in the Simpleflips Discord server (it's unknown whether this is related to the grooming evidence or not).]
UPDATE:
*Note on the information presented in 2:35: Pluto uploaded what was termed as a mental health update video in August of 2021 in which she did state that she was working on improving as an individual. (This particular statement was not in reference to the accusations against her, however. In a separate portion of the video, Pluto said that the accusations were "exaggerated" and "extremely flawed".)
The accusations were at the time and remain a contentious issue, with some questioning the way the other party's narrative was presented. Additionally, there is disagreement over the claim that original knowledge of the accusations was "covered up"; this view instead holds that a resolution with respect to the controversy was reached and this is why Pluto was able to maintain community positions.

3. Weegeepie Drama
On the 22nd of January, Twitter (or X) user HushMush posted a document exposing Weegepie of offensive language, sending graphic content to a minor, and vile joke roleplay, with much of the material gathered from a private Discord server. Following this, there was an amount of back-and-forth around the offensive language, but no concrete response to the accusations of sending graphic content or the material of the joke roleplay. The only statement apparently referencing these accusations was Weegeepie's claims of the existence of some sort of unshared proof. There may be some accusatory material that has not been made public yet.

4. BENertainment Drama
A smaller instance of drama involving BEN or BENertainment, a former SM64 machinimist, took place primarily in the Discord server of BennyGee77 after BEN was banned from another server. BEN responded to the ban by aggresively attacking several machinimists and then creating AI character bots of two machinimists (with responses that purposefully portray the individuals negatively).
