New sub, Michael Sabo brought me here. I have a 2004 660 that I bought a few months ago. It's my first sport quad and has always been my dream quad. That issue with the reverse switch is very common and that plate is the only way to fix it other than replacing the whole switch for $100ish. Mine has aftermarket bars on it and I guess the solution of the previous owner not being able to mount the plastic piece with the keyswitch and lights in it was to let it dangle like yours was doing. Instead of mounting it how it was from the factory, I relocated the lights into the top of the grill in the hump above the radiator cap and moved the keyswitch to the left fender around the same area as the reverse switch on the right fender. But if you do that, be careful not to interfere with the headlight mount on the inside of the fender. I almost screwed up but luckily I was able to make it work by rotating the key switch 180°. With the N, R, and temp lights, I used the plastic piece they came out of as a template and colored it onto the grill so that the spacing would be the same as from the factory. It turned out looking nice and clean. Another issue that I came across and learned was very common is an issue with the reverse rev limiter. Basically, reverse is useless because it will spit and sputter and stall out anytime you try to use it. It looks like those wires coming out from around the shifter on yours might be an attempt to bypass that sensor, but I did it much cleaner than that. You can tie into it just behind the fuel tank on the left side and I ran a ground wire from there to the battery following the factory wire route. It's another quick and easy fix, however it kills the reverse light. But I would rather have a working reverse than a working reverse light. I look forward to seeing what you're going to do with it and maybe seeing it on Quad Wars as you were hinting.
I'd just install a twist throttle conversion kit. Way better than those dumb thumb throttles. I did it it to my raptor and i like it way better. But that's just my 2 cents.
Heck of a deal! Considering last night i saw one on face book market place just like the one i have for $5,500. And its a 2007 raptor 700r special addition. Prices are nuts !
Love the raptor content ,I got into a raptor this year and found the stock head was corroded at the jacket and the piston started letting pressure into the coolant system , needless to say new stock head hi comp piston and the Fixins , ps if any shaving come off the piston like mine, remove/check that oil sump pump and clear it’s screen from debris in the bottom of the engine.

Great job on the 1st episode👍👊👏💪 the beginning the skit it had me dying🤣, both machines was close pretty much even if u ask me, yes weight and body position does play a huge factor, I can't wait to see the one with Mike's 400 against the 450 That's gonna be worth the wait, I think his 400 or the 450 would be good against the 700 raptor or both banshee's.

I dont have Instagram or anything to contact you directly with. But I do have some headlight parts and front hubs with rotors and some other shit I'd be willing to donate if you want or need it.

A couple issues with the 660r that I know of is weak second gear I’ve seen more than a few with 2nd gear just gone and the other issue is it’s hard to keep the carbs on them they love to just blow the carbs off under hard acceleration and on rough terrain but they have pretty good torque and they are fast the 686 big bore on them is a nice add on.
