@@andthebanshees Vaping as a teen often leads to smoking as cigarettes are cheaper and more plentiful, and don't pose any feeling of harm at the start of the addiction.

Now this is a real ad and unique showing how scary it is and the impact it places in people's mind. Ads nowadays make no sense showing you monsters and teenagers exaggerately freaking out in an abandoned school or something kind of like a movie. Smoking isn't a video game or a movie it's the real deal that can harm you and kill you.
100,000 people die every year from lung cancer. Beautiful soul❤🕊️🙏R.I. P. Terrie. Let’s put those tobacco factories/companies out of business for good by quitting.
i saw this vid before i started smoking and thought "huh i'm glad i don't touch cigs" but now that i am trying to quit. this sounds like a horror movie talking directly to me.
It's an absolutely horrible addiction, I've been doing it since I was 14 and I'm 60. I've tried 1 million times to quit and can't. The first thing I did when I saw this was go out and have a cigarette. Maybe it'll keep the younger people from starting, because when I grew up, the tobacco companies were playing games with the nicotine so I've been a two pack a day smoker for over 40 years. Three when I was drinking
So now, not only do I have this continuing addiction that started out at three dollars a carton at Fort Dix and now runs me $9.25 a pack, so it's costing me about $130 a week in retirement
I lost my sister for a lung cancer at 55, my brother brain stroke at 52, both smokers. I stopped when I was 50 , now I am 60 and I will not smoke again.
you know who really did this? The tobacco companies. My father used to say; "Oh everyone smoked in the 1800's and cancer was almost unknown, it's all the vehicles that cause cancer." He died 20 years ago after his 2nd heart attack. Mother died 12 years ago from COPD. Both heavy smokers, dad hand roll, mum tailor mades. A few months ago I was digging in my garden and I found some old pieces of clay pipes from the 1800-early 1900's. I saw why the smokers back then didn't get half the smoking related diseases we get now, the hole in the pipe stem was a sewing needle size, and the bowl held about a teaspoon of tobacco. Now, cigarettes today are ten times the size and if you hand roll the papers allow you to build a large smoke. Just like the toothpaste company who doubles profit by doubling the size of the hole in the tube, tobacco companies made cigarettes bigger and bigger so you got more of that good old addictive smoke in you, and then they turned it from something you did at the end of the day with a pint of beer, probably a todays cigarette worth smoked all day to being something you did from the moment you woke up until you went to bed. It's true no-one forces you to smoke, but the advertising back in the 60's-70's made fairly certain most people did.
my mom is same age and also has been smoking for many years. and she looks younger than her years actually. and my step mom as well, but she is nine years older. i just wish them best. as i know the oldest woman who lived on earth also smoked almost to her last years. jeanne calment. damn anti smoking propaganda is nuts in us. nobody does that in my country. may this lady rest in peace
I don’t get why vaping or smoking is popular because yeah, you might get like five seconds of relief but all the negatives that you’re doing to your body it’s not worth it
Our biggest problem is that we always think this kind of thing only happens to others. You can drive at 120 km/h calmly, others have accidents, but you were born immune to that. Others will get cancer from smoking, but you’ll never go through that...
Recently quit about a month ago. I was vaping, but still it’s not very good. It is possible, and I’m glad I’ve kicked it. Saving money and my health. Just get through those first 5 days, then nothing can stop you. You might get a bit angry at people, but they’ll understand. Don’t give up!
Good Dad. A Woman said she was the opposite, that she smoked heavily until finding out she was pregnant and quit cold turkey. Her Baby was healthy, thank God. 😀
1990 Grandad died aged 66 from lung cancer 2 days before he passed I didn't recognise him, but it wasn't the tobacco that killed him it was the 40yrs working on the roofs stripping asbestos off, no health warnings back then, sad to see how this lady passed but we who choose to smoke know the risks but we choose to ignore it.
As a former smoker (heavyly addicted, pack a day), i can say that these kinds of ads DO NOT scare smokers into quitting. Sure, they might scare kids and teens into never smoking, but not smokers. Smokers already know these risks; it's not a lack of information situation, but an addiction problem.
Right. It'll never work, anti smoking industry toys on doing the right thing and profiting off of it. Big tobacco and big anti tobacco are both a problem here.
It saddens me to see so many people around me smoke. I've been aware of the effects of smoking since ever and never touched one. Tho those who are struggling to quit, don't give up, you can make it.
i needed to hear this the most i can go without a cigarette is 2 days idk if i can ever quit but reading this motivates me to try to give it a try again much love brother❤

I’m 15, and believe me this scares the living daylight out of me. I’m never gonna smoke. Rip Terrie
This brought me to cry...
100,000 people die every year from lung cancer. Beautiful soul❤🕊️🙏R.I. P. Terrie.
Let’s put those tobacco factories/companies out of business for good by quitting.
This is disturbing. May she rest in peace.
Why the hell do people pick up this deadly habit?! It’s disgusting and definitely not “cool” 🤢👎🏽

@@AttiMatter Yeah, It's Sad Isn't It?? People Will Never Learn To Change!!! We All Need "Salvation"!!
This gave me chills. I hope I still remember her tomorrow when I will want to lit my morning cigarette.
i saw this vid before i started smoking and thought "huh i'm glad i don't touch cigs" but now that i am trying to quit. this sounds like a horror movie talking directly to me.
My mother has smoke since she was 14 years old, and now she’s 49 and still smoking😭💔
@@taxisteve929how are you doing now, have you quit it?
I remember seeing this on tv and it scaring the crap out of me. But I will never pick up a cigarette in my life, much less smoke it.
I'm sorry. I know this is serious, but... but come on. What percentage of smokers turn out like this?
JUST DONT SMOKE DAMN BRO
Smoking increases your risk of cancer from 40% to 50%, COPD is much more likely so look up about that instead.
They even had ads with Dr.s promoting it. Also movies helped popularise it by making it look glamorous
my mom is same age and also has been smoking for many years. and she looks younger than her years actually. and my step mom as well, but she is nine years older. i just wish them best. as i know the oldest woman who lived on earth also smoked almost to her last years. jeanne calment.
damn anti smoking propaganda is nuts in us. nobody does that in my country. may this lady rest in peace
Love you Terrie
I don’t get why vaping or smoking is popular because yeah, you might get like five seconds of relief but all the negatives that you’re doing to your body it’s not worth it
She was 53 :(
really? how do you know?
@@snorlax905did you now watch the whole video
Our biggest problem is that we always think this kind of thing only happens to others. You can drive at 120 km/h calmly, others have accidents, but you were born immune to that. Others will get cancer from smoking, but you’ll never go through that... RIP Terrie, may God keep you in a good place
--
I just saw this commercial on tv. This has to be the saddest... Please guys do NOT smoke :'(
I don't smoke I vape
@@rip_plxshy vaping is still bad for you
Recently quit about a month ago. I was vaping, but still it’s not very good. It is possible, and I’m glad I’ve kicked it. Saving money and my health. Just get through those first 5 days, then nothing can stop you. You might get a bit angry at people, but they’ll understand. Don’t give up!
this could of literally been my dad if it wasn’t for me, he quit when he found out my mum was pregnant with me.
Real
It saddens me to see so many people around me smoke. I've been aware of the effects of smoking since ever and never touched one. Tho those who are struggling to quit, don't give up, you can make it.
i needed to hear this the most i can go without a cigarette is 2 days idk if i can ever quit but reading this motivates me to try to give it a try again much love brother❤
I have never smoked. My exhusband handed me his cigarette and I took one puff and went “why in God’s name would you do this?”
If I smoked, I would stop after seeing this for sure.
