  • Sharon started smoking at age 13. In her late 30s, she was diagnosed with throat cancer. She was a busy mom with two children. She made their lunches, took them to school, and was active in parent-teacher groups. In this video, Sharon talks about finding a lump in her neck and being told it was cancer. Doctors treated the tumor with chemotherapy and radiation, and tried to save her voice box. But when her symptoms returned a year later, her doctor said removing her voice box was the next step.

It's time for us that have children not to start smoking. If you or your loved one starts smoking, this story needs to get out to them before it's too late.

My Mom used to smoke years ago. I think she started smoking when she was just a teenager, but really started smoking after she had me at 20. She quit around 4 years later around age 24, and she is now age 34, and hasn't had any problems since she stopped. I am very grateful to still have her, and I hope that she continues to have a healthy smoke free life.

People are so extremely addicted to cigarettes that even this video won't stop them from smoking. I had a co-worker that was so addicted to smoking that he tore up the workplace ,and then went home and went through his whole house ,and went and tore his car apart looking for a cigarette. I tried smoking twice, when I was younger ,and it tasted like ash ,and burnt my throat and I just didn't like it. The risks of vaping
Researchers do know that e-cigarette vapor contains toxic chemicals like those found in glue and paint. What’s less clear is if the amounts are high enough to cause diseases like cancer.
“The biggest problem is that we don’t know exactly what goes into all the flavorings, and there are thousands of them,” . Experts say it could take 20 years to know the long-term health effects of vaporizing.
But there are some clear dangers to e-cigarettes, particularly when it comes to nicotine.

I don’t, it was her choice to smoke, she knew smoking was bad, what did she expect, to get a million dollar for smoking, no everyone when they think of smoking they think of lung problems and cancer, and bad people , because bad people smoke, if they wanted to be a better person they would not smoke

My grandmother smokes, and I'm worried about her health but she says that she's an elder person so she has the right to decide if she wants to smoke even if it kills her.
Its bad for her health, but its also bad for my life because she spends 40 dollars on cigarettes and that's money that could go to our rent or buying food when we barely have enough to eat.
