- I have the chance to talk to Rod about some of his past memories while he shows me around a few of his prized possessions.
We are so fortunate to have a family like the Millen's as part of New Zealand motorsport history, and now Linc and I can continue part of that legacy.

Went with Euro Car Club to go for a blast up the driveway earlier this year, it was epic and sureal driving the driveway where so many epic people had been before... Rod is so cool, so generous and that place is so much fun and epic. It's sad that Leadfoot Festival won't be back, but i understand why from Rod. You're both my NZ motorsport heroes!

I'm 23, from USA love Mazda but I've only really experienced the ford era Mazdas and above. Kept seeing hot wheels of Mad Mike Mazdas or seeing your newest Mazda3 rotary car and other stuff and was wondering who this Mazda mad lad is. Very glad I discovered it and found this video and being exposed to older Mazda racing history and love seeing you racing all these cars that people in the states don't really give a second thought about.
I find it difficult (despite the internet) to discover / learn about Mazda Motorsport history and people, so videos like these are great for young people like me to at the very least get a snapshot of some of the history and big moments / people.
My first car was on 06 Mazda3 sedan and I loved that car. I now own a 1990 1.6L Miata and a 2021 Manual Mazda3 hatch. I doubt id be able to get into racing (I currently work as a controls/electrical engineer but did mechanical design and machining extensively in highschool so maybe Ill join a race team one day), but one can dream and at least have some (safe) fun / driving joy on the streets :) Love these cars.

Also stoked to see the mighty KA24de in the comp truck! Being from the US it does make sense, but I wasn't expecting it haha. I'm even more pumped now because that's actually the engine sitting in my shed waiting to go in my Datsun 120Y! They aren't very common here either but I wanted to go something different, and their cheaper than an SR or CA... Apparently stronger, and like boost to 😅

Oh man Mike Moza makes phenomenal sim gear i use a MOZA R12 with CRP pedals a CS wheel and Moza's shifter and hand brake on a Next Level Racing cockpit i absolutely love it best decision i ever made so much nicer the have Fanatec and customer support is mind bending good i broke a usb port on my base it was my fault and the get sent parts out to me no questions asked amazing company now all i need is that bew sequential shifter Moza. Is the truth
