Lovebites make me feel bad for all the male metal of this era.

Great reaction debbie, ive been following your nightwish journey as im a huge nightwish fan, but im do glad u have now discovered love bites. These women are such awesome musicians. If you want to here asami sing a slower song you should have a listen to epilogue, edge of the world or empty daydream. Preferbly a live version👍
A great song to hear Asami's voice is Edge Of The World live at Depp Divercity Tokyo. It starts slow and builds as the song proceeds. It is a masterpiece. I thoroughly enjoy your reactions. As someone below suggested, Bandmaid is another all female Japanese band. They are more rock/punk/pop sounding, with superb musicianship and another great vocalist. For a long time I did not really get into Lovebites. But since your two reactions to them I start to really like them. Maybe because I started to play guitar a few weeks ago. I probably would need an hour to play what they do in a few seconds. 😬🤯

Yes, these women are so relentless. Some people say that brutality has been so gorgeous. You need to watch them live in order to realize how effortless and flawless they are. Asami used to sing R&B, soul, jazz before she joined Lovebites. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is a concert level classical pianist. I really recommend “Epilogue” (live) because it showcases Asami’s vocals. Other great songs are “Empty daydream”, “Edge of the world” and “Frozen Serenade” (all live). A song that showcases Miyako’s piano playing is “Chopin etude + Swan song” (live)
Miyako is musical prodigy. Starting classical piano at 3, becoming a concert pianist at 16. Teaching herself to play guitar from a book, no formal lessons. Plays guitar. piano, bass and drums, oh yeah, composes most of their music. With the looks of a Japanese supermodel.
Epilogue and Edge of the World are great slow songs to hear Asami's voice.

"Glory to the World" is a song from LOVEBITES' EP"Glory, Glory, to the World" (March 2021).
EP "Glory, Glory, to the World" was nominated "Global Metal Release of the Year" at the 2021 "Global Metal Apocalypse" Awards and took 2nd place.
Song "Glory to the World" written in 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic swept the world, when millions of people began to get sick and die. The world plunged into the darkness . People get depressed.
"Glory to the World" - this is a hymn to the World (Humanity), which will go through the trials that have fallen to its lot (Covid-19) . This is a call to believe that dark times will end, millions of people will stop dying and life will be reborn. This song was written by LOVEBITES to support people (including his fans) in the most difficult moments, instill in them faith and hope for the best.
In the Music Video, the director added the church, the reincarnation of Jesus Christ in our time, stigmata, etc., to increase the effect of the song on people. So that faith in the best (for religious people - faith in God) helps people survive all this horror that was associated with the pandemic.

edit: epilogue stays slow all the way while empty daydream and edge of the world picks up the paste abit in the songs.

You mentioned joy and that is appropriate. Lovebites has brought me and all their fans a lot of joy over the years. The cool thing is that you could not have chosen a better band to start with when listening to metal. The obvious reason being their amazing talent and song writing ability, but more so their joy. This band is so happy and they write joyous music with positive lyrics. They are a breath of fresh air and holy crap does their new album blow me away.

I think for a better understanding of the creativity of Lovebites, it is necessary to know that vocalist Asami is the author of the lyrics of almost all the songs of the group, with the exception of a few written by Miho. For a slower song that really features Asami's vocal ability I'd recommend the live version of Edge of the World. It's one of my favoritess that really shows the range of their talents.
Gotta totally agree with @carl devries here. I'm a little disappointed someone introduced you to Lovebites with Judgement Day. I would have hoped they would have been more sensitive to the impact it could have on you health-wise, even though the song is all kinds of fantabulous. I'm sure that was alot for you to handle; but I do love how you embraced it and them. We could have lost you right out of the gate there; but very glad we didn't. And shame on whoever recommended Jinjer Pisces, too, and I don't blame you a bit for bailing out on that one (even though I like it a lot.) Back to Lovebites, though...Edge of the World would have been a better choice for you intro to the band. The lyrics really show you where these ladies' heads are at. We can see the state the world is in, and how awful some people can be. Asami and Lovebites tell us to not give in to greed and hate, but to honor love, caring, and yourself in everything you do. I love how you can see Asami project that realization when the tone changes from dejection and despair to choosing not to give in to the darkness, but rather, embracing and spreading positivity. After you do Edge of the World, please follow that up with what is one of my 3 favorites from Lovebites: A Frozen Serenade (Live from Tokyo 2021 w/lyrics ruclips.net/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/видео.html .) All I'll say about that is...lead singer Asami has a lot of experience in classical ballet, and the expression on her face after she sings her last lyric literally rips my heart out. One of my favorite things about LOVEBITES is how the drummer, Haruna, uses her cymbals. She's so smart and unique, especially in how brilliantly she uses them to accent and enhance the vocals.
When I first started discovering music from Japan, LOVEBITES was the second band I found and fell in love with. Allow me to recommend the first, and that's the great BAND-MAID. Well you still haven't heard them LIVE so you likely can't go to a show. If you want to hear Asami's vocal and her R&B, Jazz and Soul background try Epilogue,, Edge of the World or my favorite Empty Dream. Anyone LiVE will blow you away. This band is great in front of an audience as you have learned the Wolfpack are crazy about this band. Great reaction as always but I do worry when you are not breathing so keep that pen handy especially with LB as the Midori/Miyako aka M&M get to explode in every song. Miyako is a classical pianist and Swan Song with the Chopin etude intro is a must to see just how insane the talent is in this band

I wanted to leave a comment for a band suggestion you should make a reaction video for next. after I saw some video on your channel, it seems you also need to get to know them. they are Voice of Baceprot, a heavy metal rock band female trio from Indonesia. they have already made their trip for shows in europe 2 times in 2021 and 2022 and performed at wacken open air.
I recommend you react to their singles like, God Allow me please to play music, School Revolution, Not public Property, and PMS (Perempuan Merdeka Seutuhnya or Women are completely free in English). or you can also react to the songs they have cover like enter sandman, sabotage, or got the time. You can also watch them live like when they appear at the Rennes, Wacken, or Pasiwali festivals.

Lovebites is not a symphonic band don't pay no mind to many who claim such they have no clue what they are talking about, there is a huge difference between symphonic and progressive metal, symphonic is garbage like nightwish and epica, barf noise. Progressive metal is like Rush, Pink Floyd, and Dream Theater to name a few. Also, many will tell you that Lovebites is strictly a power metal band don't believe that hogwash either, these ladies showcase many styles and genres of metal, not just one style. This is what makes Lovebites very unique and loved, I for one will defend these ladies from any and all negative noise and bad info most spew from their poddy mouths. All five women are trained in the classical elements as well as classical pianoists so their compositions are phenomenal and explosive. Check out the "E" songs of Lovebites slow powerful and beautiful

I support it. Almost all symphonic metal bands are created according to one simple recipes. Several male musicians, not necessarily good, but able to play a pop rhythm, and a female vocalist portraying pseudo-operatic vocals. Plus, an inexperienced and therefore undemanding public is needed, which perceives this kitschy product as a significant work allegedly involved in classical art. Of course, Lovebites is not even close to such crafts.
