They named the band after the Grammy winning Halestorm song Love Bites (So Do I). Lead singer Asami has been onstage with Lzzy and the boys performing that song.
Miho left the band almost a year and a half ago. Recently, they announced Fami as the new bassist.

This is a song to the fans during the pandemic. See the guy as the fans having stigma not able to listen to the band. The video was filmed 23 Dec and the film maker decided to add some X-Mas feeling. We who live in "Christianity" countries may had choose another filming script. But this band take the light in to the dark metal genre. They have a new bass player now an we are eager to listen to the new record. This is one of the best metal bands out there today. I suggest to you the live version of Holy War from 2021 and Set the world on fire from same year. Oh and if if You want a epic guitarsolo. When destinies align MV and for full throttle the anime opening song Winds of Transylvania (Vladlove version) MV

LOVEBITES - Glory to the World lyrics:
Everything around us will fall into dark
When you keep on looking into the sadness
Nobody in this world may ever be free
My hearts will shiver and I can't take deep breath
But rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify
The dawn will come and bring the light in this world
    Grace to my heart, Hallelujah
I know you really care for me
So I leave everything in your hands
You'd walk with me all the way
    Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me
Standing in nowhere and searching for meanings
A sleepless night haunting us like a shadow
A blur in the future, the fear of unknown
There will come a time where we can leave everything behind
Breeze are running through the land and endless to the sky
Together we will make it through this deep night
    Grace to my heart, Hallelujah
I know you really care for me
So I leave everything in your hands
You'd walk with me all the way
    Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me
SOLO: midori / miyako / both
And rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify
The dawn will come and bring the light and lead us to a new world
    Grace to my heart, Hallelujah
I know you really care for me
So I leave everything in your hands
You'd walk with me all the way
    Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
Wherever you go, this world that we breathe together,
    Nothing more precious

Here is a little background on Lovebites. The band was the vision of the bassist, Miho, who loves old school metal especially bands of the NWOBHM era with Iron Maiden at the top of her list. She quickly recruited her former bandmate Haruna who is on drums and who is also an old school metalhead (she is a big fan of Helloween). They had previously played together in a very interesting all female band called Destrose (a whole book should be written about Destrose and its musical legacy). They soon added Midori and Miyako as guitarists, with Miyako originally as nonmember support. Miho wanted the lyrics of their songs to be in all English so she needed to find a Japanese female singer who could handle both soaring vocals in the Bruce Dickinson style and all English lyrics. Fortunately for them, Asami decided to audition. Asami spent her youth learning ballet and lived a short time in the United States to learn other forms of dance like hip hop. When she returned to Japan, she made the jump to vocals and became a singer of R&B and Soul. Although she now had experience with English lyrics, she was worried about singing rock music. She started listening to Lzzy Hale and Halestorm which gave her confidence that she could handle rock/metal music. Apparently Miho agreed and she was brought in as the vocalist. The name Lovebites came from a Halestorm song that Asami sang called Love Bites (So Do I). A few years later Asami would be invited on stage by Lzzy Hale to sing that song with Halestorm.
As for their songwriting, the primary composers are Miyako and their "sixth member" named Mao who is a composer/keyboardist and had been in a very good power metal band called Light Bringer. So far Miyako has composed 20 songs for Lovebites as well as one song which she cowrote with Miho (plus some instrumentals). Most of the other songs were written in collaboration with Mao or strictly by Mao himself - 10 Miho/Mao songs, 4 Asami/Mao songs, 2 Midori/Mao songs and 5 Mao songs. Glory to the World is a Midori/Mao song. Midori, on her trips to Europe and the US, would visit Christian churches and she was inspired by the uplifting music. When the pandemic hit the world, Midori wanted an uplifting song for the fans and the world in general. She used her appreciation of Christian hymns in working with Mao to create the music for Glory to the World. Asami, who is the primary lyricist for Lovebites, knew of Midori's inspiration for the song so she wrote some Christian imagery into the lyrics. In writing the lyrics she worked with a Japanese American singer/songwriter named Ayako Kawai who was born and raised in the United States and had recently moved to Tokyo to help both singers and business people with the English pronunciation and diction (fun fact - Ayako is one of the three hooded angels singing at the end of Glory to the World). I personally appreciate the lyrics in the song and especially the intent behind them. I think many people in Japan and the world needed a song and message like this in 2021. That said, I also think whoever created the music video went a bit overboard on the Christian imagery. To me the video should just have been them singing in the church with a light glowing from the church to the world in general. The music video is why some Lovebites fans seem to shy away from the song, which is a shame since the song is excellent.

they are not a christian band. the song was for the fans during the pandemic. the video was shot in a tokyo wedding chapel, very popular among japanese bands. they wanted some christmas vibes for the video. the second storyline with the guy was about "how would it be, if he came back now?". asamis bruce dickinsonesque singing fits perfect to their music. some may find the lyrics a bit cheesy but they are genuine, uplifting, about never giving up, faith, fighting evil and finding yourself. don´t give up upon them, before you checked a live performance of them. I recommend "edge of the world" live tokyo 2020 ruclips.net/video/UZjxMjBop7w/видео.html they are the best metal band in a long time.

Thank you for your reaction! "Glory to the World" is a song from LOVEBITES' third EP"Glory, Glory, to the World" (March 2021).
EP was nominated "Global Metal Release of the Year" at the 2021 "Global Metal Apocalypse" awards, it finished second!
Song "Glory to the World" written in 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic swept the world, when millions of people began to get sick and die. The world plunged into the darkness of pandemic. People get depressed.
"Glory to the World" is not a religious song !!! 😊 "Glory to the World" - this is a hymn to the WORLD (Humanity), which will go through the trials that have fallen to its lot (Covid-19) . This is a call to believe that dark times will end, millions of people will stop dying (the song was written in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic) and life will be reborn.
"Gentleman in the field" is Jesus Christ, resurrected in our time.
In the Music Video, the director added a church, the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, stigmata, etc. in order to enhance the effect of the song on people's feelings, so that people, through faith in the best, (religious people through faith in God) can survive all this horror that was associated with the pandemic.
This song was written to support people in the most difficult times, instill in them faith and hope for the best.
P.S. You didn't watch the MV to the end..🤗

@@salsaucedo If you count in order (by release date), then you are absolutely right.👍 I was guided by the formal name (EP or SINGLE):
      "The Lovebites EP" (EP, 2017)
      "Battle Against Damnation" (EP, 2018)
      "Golden Destination" (SINGLE, 2020)
"Glory, Glory, to the World" (EP, 2021)
Although, to be honest, I don’t see a fundamental difference between the EP and the SINGLE. 🤔But since "Golden Destination" is officially a SINGLE and "Glory, Glory, to the World" is officially the third EP, I try to stick to the official information.😊

Nice to meet you Rosalie. I hope Asami's vibrato doesn't keep you from enjoying more Lovebites. Their music is not religious in nature, but their message is generally uplifting and about hope, self-empowerment, and courage. And they are as FIERCE in that message as they are talented. Lovebites is truly a Generational band in talent, technical skill, and most-of-all their Compositions. They see themselves as the Lone Wolves of Heavy Metal, trying to resurrect the old-school Metal sound - with their own touch. The Wolf is their Spirit Animal, and a Wolf or Wolves appears on all of their releases except the first EP. That is also why the fanbase is called the Wolfpack. 🤘🐺🤘

It's so hard to pick a good first song to react to Lovebites. Many go with Holy War, live Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020. They play great thrash, and have so many interesting styles to choose from. I'll mention a few to add to your list (if not already there), and they all hit hard:
My personal all time favorite song (well, two songs), "The Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath", live Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020. It's the opening to the encore set: ruclips.net/video/otJZPUCwyOM/видео.html
Their thrashiest, even more than this IMO, Break the Wall. It's as Slayeresque as it gets. Live version from same Zepp DiverCity concert: ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html
Here's a music video to check out. For this particular song, I feel the studio version does it more justice, although they slay it live. "Winds of Transylvania" - it's the opening track to 6 of 12 episodes of the anime VLAD LOVE. The music video has clips of the anime throughout: ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html

Not the best song of theirs to start with, but as a recent MV it tends to be chosen quite often. Plenty of heavy material (preferably live versions where they shine). Also Swan Song (with the Chopin intro), Frozen Serenade or one of the three 'E' songs (Edge of the World, Epilogue, or End of a Daydream) is where they really show their versatility when they tone it down.
I've see some recommendations of other Japanese bands in the comments. There are so many I couldn't list them all. As this video was recorded at Casa d'Angela in Yokohoma (a popular wedding venue and one used for band recordings) then perhaps MVs of Unlucky Morpheus ('M' Anthem) or Galneryus (Angel of Salvation), also recorded there, come to mind. The Galneryus piece (based on the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto) is a must watch, as the guitarwork is phenomenal, although the longer live 2014 in concert is even more amazing.
If you get recommendations to watch Wagakki Band (they fuse traditional instruments with modern ones) you'll see the distinctive Japanese vocalization (don't let it put you off). Anything by them is great, but if you want something cross genre then the collab with Amy Lee on the Evanescence song 'Bring Me To Life' is worth watching.

A lot of Japanese singers will have "extra" vibrato compared to Western singers. You'll see more examples of that if you ever see Wagakki Band and Unlucky Morpheus. Asami's voice can take a little getting used to as she certainly has a unique style, but after a few songs I was sold on her and now can't imagine LOVEBITES without her.
Regarding the lyrics, they were written by Asami to be positive and to include a holy, sacred element. The song and the EP it's on were written as a response to the doom and gloom feeling of the pandemic. Midori, the blonde guitarist, has a rare writing credit in the music. She was inspired by gospel music and by visiting black churches in the US and UK.
As for the video, the actor is supposed to represent an amnesiac Jesus Christ resurrected in the current era and slowly remembering what was done to Him at the end of His earthly life. LOVEBITES acts as the guiding light, the light in the darkness, and He is finding his way back to the church and to them. The church, at least the interior, is an actual place where Western-style weddings are performed; not sure if regular services are held there. Other Japanese bands like Galneryus, Unlucky Morpheus, and Aldious have filmed videos there.

Asami's vocals take a little bit of time to get "used" to so to speak, but once you get passed the oddity of it, you realize just how well it really fits with the band in the scheme of things. These ladies excel in their live performances. A few of the ones I would recommend for a variety of different styles/sounds would be:
    Holy War - ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html

    A Frozen Serenade - ruclips.net/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/видео.html

Lovebites! Omg Rosalie, to really appreciate them, you need to see a live performance. I'll suggest Set the World on Fire and Swan Song. If you do Swan Song, I suggest the one with the Chopin intro - I think that is my favorite song of theirs overall. Miyako goes into full beast mode. Probably musically, one of the most amazing things I have ever seen technically. I love Midori's start to the solo in Set the World on Fire, and that whole solo. Both songs Asami is on point, as are Miho and Haruna, as they always are. Literally anything by Lovebites live will amaze you.
For someone else from Japan, you have to check out LiSA. Anything from her on First Take. I'd say Gurenge or Homura. She's one of the best on the world, without a doubt. I wish for more reactors with vocal experience to react to her. She doesn't seem to be as well-known in these circles.
I can't wait until you explore more of Japan. :-)

There are a lot of great Japanese bands.. It truly is hard to pick. I picked this video because it is uplifting. Back when I was young a death metal band (Trouble) that decided to quit doing depressing videos started to do videos about hope. They did a song from the album The Skull called the Wish. It was about a man that gave up living and was praying for his own death. BUT he found hope through God and that song saved my life.Because I had given up living. Lovebites video gives hope in a dark world.

      @@evilvolts Thanks for the answer!
Circumstances "force" me to defend LOVEBITES songs .🤔 NOT from the Reactors , but ....... from people who consider themselves fans of the band. Which, at the first hint that the reactor did not like the song (or he did not understand it), begin to speak badly about the song to which the reaction was made. One gets the feeling that this is not a Wolf Pack, not Wolves ready to protect their ladies, but a crowd of Sheep following the opinion of the reactor. I already wrote in response to a few comments, but I will repeat for you .....😊
I've seen several reactions to "Swan Song" & "Chopin's Etude", after which the Reactors didn't want to check other LOVEBITES songs! I've seen reactors that didn't like "When Destinies Align".🤕
I can name a famous reactor who says LOVEBITES is his favorite band, BUT ..... said "A Frozen Serenade" is a bad song and he doesn't like her. Etc. ..., etc.
Does it mean that these songs are bad or that it is not necessary to recommend checking it out?
I know people who first of all liked those songs that "people who consider themselves fans of the band" do not consider the best! !
Fragments of an article-review of the LOVEBITES' EP "Glory, Glory, To The World", published in "Distorted Sound Magazine" (May 2021) :
".... "Glory To The World" is an apex of Euro-styled power metal, replete with multiple soaring twin leads, an ear-worm of a chorus and a magnificently thunderous rhythm section......."Glory To The World" brags its own unique character compared to the rest of the band’s output. Incorporating a number of gospel and orchestral elements, ranging from choirs to sweeping string sections, the track has an especially majestic tone that accentuates its inherent sense of grandiosity. Its epic sensibilities are only furthered as vocalist Asami trades off with Midori and Miyako’s guitar leads in the chorus, eventually building in to a shred-off....Indeed, the angelic splendour of the title track "Glory To The World" and the neoclassical nightmare of "Dystopia Symphony" represent two of the band’s best tracks to date, while also showcasing the breadth of their sound; from the overwhelmingly upbeat to the downright menacing...."
"Glory To The World" and "Dystopia Symphony" -TWO of the band’s BEST TRACKS to date ?!?!?! 🙄
How do you like that? Unexpectedly for you? But music critics think so.
Many people who think they are LOVEBITES fans are not really.🤗 They are only fans of a few songs that suit THEIR musical tastes. They don't understand at least 50% of the music of LOVEBITES. But they proudly say that they are the "Wolf Pack". Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
      Nothing personal. Just the facts.😊

The song has multiple layers of meaning. First, there is the music itself. The blond-haired guitarist Midori visited the US just before the pandemic hit, and while she was here, she visited some black Southern Gospel churches, and she was impressed with the music and the passion behind it, so she wanted to write a song that paid tribute to that trip, which is evident in the choirs and in the overall uplifting style of the song.
Then there are the lyrics. Vocalist Asami is the main lyricist, and by the time she sat down to pen the lyrics to this song, the pandemic was in full swing. The overarching lyrical theme is one of hope and encouragement to all those who have suffered grief, loss, and depression due to the pandemic, so lines like "learning to love yourself, it is the greatest love of all" and the warnings about looking too much into the darkness are referring to that. Other lines like "I know you really care for me, so I leave myself in your hands" can be read as both a reference to spirituality and to the pandemic theme of helping each other and trusting others to help lift us up. She also wanted to add a few Gospel themes to the lyrics, both to be in keeping with Midori's wishes for the song to be a tribute to Gospel churches, and to reflect her own background as a Gospel/Soul/R&B singer prior to joining Lovebites.
Then lastly there is the video itself. This was filmed during the Christmas season, so they wanted to have the video thematically touch on Christmas themes, such as Christ. Asami said that the male figure is meant to be a Christ-like figure, and his portrayal in the video is sort of an imagining of what it would be like if Christ was reincarnated (her word) into the confusion of the modern world. The stigmata represents that as well, and also represents that the world was going through a spiritual crisis with the pandemic. At the end of the video, he finds his way to the church where the ladies are playing, which sort of represents the promise that the world would come through the pandemic and get back to a sense of calm and normalcy.

Even though this is an MV, you just witnessed greatness. These women are extremely talented, skillful and exceptional versatile musicians. They really shine in their live performances. In my opinion this is not the right song to react to for the very first time; this could be misleading because this particular song tries to be uplifting for their fans during the pandemic. They play (mostly) power/thrash/ heavy metal. If you wanna something heavy, I recommend “Set the world on fire”, “The awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Thunder vengeance” or “Break the wall”. If you wanna softer stuff, then I suggest “Chopin etude + Swan song”, “Empty daydream”, “Edge of the world” or “Epilogue”. All live. Yes, a few people don’t like Asami’s voice because of her vibrato and it takes some time to get used to it. I cannot imagine Lovebites without Asami (she used to sing R&B, soul, jazz before she joined the band. Miyako is a concert level classical pianist. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years.

Usually people start with Swan Song with the Chopin etude, or Holy War Zepp Live. Those tracks, and the When Destinies Align video, really show off this bands Rush-like instrumental virtuosity. This track less so, fewer shifts of the time signature and no real mind bending solos or duets. Though the ones that start at 5:00 and the minute after 7:00 are ok they aren't really showing you that these are two of the best guitarists on Earth. As the live shows demonstrate.

Usually people start with whatever song they are told to check out. Your lack of understanding of this song does not mean that this song is worse than others. 🤗 This is your subjective opinion. Professionals think differently. Great song, great drums, bass, vocals, great guitars (including solos)!👍SSome music critics even consider "Glory To The World" and "Dystopia Symphony" to be the TWO BEST LOVEBITES songs!!!
"EP REVIEW: Glory, Glory, To The World - Lovebites" ("Distorted Sound Magazine", 2021) :
" Glory To The World" ... is an apex of Euro-styled power metal, replete with multiple soaring twin leads, an ear-worm of a chorus and a magnificently thunderous rhythm section. So far, par for the course for LOVEBITES. However, "Glory To The World" brags its own unique character compared to the rest of the band’s output. Incorporating a number of gospel and orchestral elements, ranging from choirs to sweeping string sections, the track has an especially majestic tone that accentuates its inherent sense of grandiosity. Its epic sensibilities are only furthered as vocalist Asami trades off with Midori and Miyako’s guitar leads in the chorus, eventually building in to a shred-off. It’s a bombastic tribute to the pomp of power metal.
.....Indeed, the angelic splendour of the title track "Glory To The World" and the neoclassical nightmare of "Dystopia Symphony" represent two of the band’s best tracks to date, while also showcasing the breadth of their sound; from the overwhelmingly upbeat to the downright menacing. Moreover, it shows LOVEBITES experimenting slightly more with their sound - hopefully the variety of " Glory, Glory, To The World " is a sign of great things to come....."

This is not really "optimal" song to be the first reaction, because it is not any of their usual styles. it is more like "odd one out", but it is still a good song. Just this "happy style" is a bit different vibe. I mean they usually have positive songs, but this is a bit "over the top", compared to others. But Yeah, it is sort of meant for being a "cure for pandemic", and try to bring that extra positivity in difficult times. In general, it's good to choose live performances fro reactions, from them, specifically from 2020 and 2021 concerts. These studio versions don't really give them justice they deserve.

I love Lovebites! Perhaps the topic seems strange to North America and Western Europe because Japan is not Christian but Shinto, a philosophy that is not a religion but an animist philosophy. Japan is essentially atheist, with Buddhist and Taoist influences. Lovebites created this song at the height of the worldwide lock downs. It is a song with a positive and hopeful message for Humanity, whose light was turned off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lovebites tries to express its themes in a western way, but in its Japanese way. They are amazing. Everything for these wonderful women is doubly difficult and laborious - but they win and create with mastery: they sing in English (something difficult for the Japanese linguistic difference, based on ideograms and not in the western alphabet), they approach Western themes, they create westernized songs, but with Japanese virtuosity. All with great professionalism and charming modesty. I invite everyone to enjoy this wonderful band. They are winners and inspire us. 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺

The video is very cinematic, great use of light etc, but the message the song is meant to convey doesn’t really come across. Add to that the point you made that English is not their first language, and that there is no other language even related to Japanese, and you see why it becomes confusing. As others have pointed out, the message is one of hope during Covid, which explains the references to breathing. Also, the word Hallelujah is in several Lovebites songs but again, that’s purely a translation thing on their part because it’s always used in the context of joyful exclamation (and “hooray” doesn’t cut it really!). So a message of hope…which the majority of Lovebites songs have as the theme, appears to many as a religious song in some way. I notice that this is particularly true of American reactions, but the US is a predominantly, and openly Christian country…which means their mindset is different to where I live, the U.K., which is identified as a Christian country, but the religious aspect of Christianity has all but disappeared except for the older generations. We don’t “think” Christian like I’ve come to understand many Americans do, having been in the USA a lot over the last decade.
Asami’s vibrato is entirely unforced, but whether it’s your thing or not, she is able to sing at pretty much this intensity for the majority of a two hour show, and has remarkable stamina and breath control.
This is the Rolls Royce of metal bands. You won’t find anyone better. 12:04

There is a difference between vibrato that a vocalist applies in agony and trained vibrato.
    "Vibrato is not good."
This is an assessment often made by untrained RUclipsrs.
A RUclipsr who is a vocal coach appreciated Asami's (Vo) trained natural vibrato and e5 range.
In today's Japanese society, the religious or sectarian beliefs are generally not given much importance, and individuals are not very conscious of their own religious beliefs (including those who self-identify as non-religious).
Of Japan's population of about 120 million, about 1% are Christians.
They have no Christian religious sensibilities.
The filming took place in a Japanese wedding hall.
It is the producer's sensitivity in using a storyline that expresses shallow religious knowledge in a music video that is wrong.
It does not need to be included in the evaluation of LOVEBITES' music.
This song is a cheer for those affected by Covid19.
People tend to make judgments and decisions based on their own experiences, education, and religion, but they should not apply these values to others because the subject's thoughts and feelings are influenced by upbringing, different education, and different religion, not by race. Against them. You will make the wrong decision.

and yes, I agree, many factors influence our assessments. I often say that too. The observer will always influence the observation to a degree and there is nothing wrong with that in my opinion, as long as we keep an open mind and are willing to learn and listen to others. When people choose to include elements that mean something to others (such as religion, etc.) it is only natural that interpretations and questions will occur. I look fwd to learning that these elements mean to the Japanese culture. :)

Lovebites lyrics are a bit of a lottery. Some songs have fairly good lyrics in good English, but for others, while there is an idea behind all of them, the execution is often... mixed. Let's say lyrics are not their strong suit. Odd mishmash of images and metaphors here, I agree.
What makes me a big of fan of them nevertheless is a) the virtuosity, b) the songwriting (this song here is IMO not their best endeavor, they have better songs), and c) the members. 8:30 Japan has a pretty atypical approach to religion. The saying is that everyone is born Shinto, married Christian and buried Buddhist. The religions each seem to offer something necessary to each phase of life: A sense of belonging and truly belonging to place in early life, a capacity to forgive and love unconditionally when forming a family, and an acceptance and calm about non-being and a focus on compassion at the end of life.
And I agree the lyrics here aren't their best and maybe reflect this Japanese mishmash of ideas about religion.

What ? 🤣Another proof that you didn't understand anything. "Glory to the World" is not a religious song !!! 😂 This is the Hymn to the World (Humanity), this is a call to believe that dark times will end, millions of people will stop dying (the song was written in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic) and life will be reborn. In the Music Video, the director added a church, the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, stigmata, etc. To enhance the impact of the song on people's feelings, so that people can, through faith in the best, (religious people through faith in God) be able to survive all this horror that was associated with the pandemic.

I think you're over-analysing the lyrics. It's really just a song that (like many songs) takes various inspirations to construct a piece of art.
Lots of vibrato is common with Power Metal vocalists, but I understand people have different tastes in music and singing styles. To be honest, when I first heard Lovebites, I didn't really like Asami's singing all that much. However, I now love it and couldn't imagine Lovebites with a different vocalist. Her imperfect pronunciation and enunciation of English (obviously not her first language) I now view as a feature, not a bug.

Please check out Wagakki Band, Homura + Akatsuki no Ito.
This is a live performance, one instrumental followed by a song with lyrics, it will give you a good example of Traditional Japanese Vibrato and how it gets used in their music style.

OK! It' s a long time you visit Japan. Then I will give you some next steps: Band Maid - East of Eden - Gacharic Spin. Try some new releases from them. And try another Lovebites - and I think you will have different impression.

Yea, I agree, they're extremely skilled but I kind of have to be in the mood for something this thrash oriented. Like the angelic back up at the end though :)

I enjoyed this song. There are two other all female Japanese metal bands that I would recommend, different from each other and this, they are Band Maid and Babymetal.

I love the contradictions of people like you. They don't even know what they're talking about. Babymetal has 2 possibilities and neither of them includes your definition. Babymetal is 3 girls dancing, 2 of them just move their lips, one really sings, that doesn't make them a metal band. Now if you take into account Kamiband, the real musicians, as part of babymetal, then it's not an all-female group.

I'm sorry, I want to clarify. Objectively, BAND MAID is a hard rock band.🤗 BABYMETAL is three dancing and singing young ladies. They do not play musical instruments. From "metal" they only have a name. 🤭 The musicians of the KAMI BAND play musical instruments (support for BABYMETAL).KAMI BAND is metal of the highest standard, 👍 but they are all men. Sorry for the facts. 😊

Hi Rosalie, I understand your confusion with this music video. I thought I saw the male figure wearing black feathered wings at some point, which I took to indicate a fallen angel. However, I really don't know. Japan is a land of dichotomies where their Buddhist practices, Shintoism, and Christianity live side by side, more or less harmoniously. I believe you may have been given the wrong song to start with. I recommend “Swan Song” with Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude intro Live as the entry point for this particular group. That being said, there has been some changes.
Miho resigned from the group, either late last year or early this year. I don't know the particulars behind that breakup, but they have within the last 2 months (December '22 as I write this.) hired a replacement who seems to be up to the job based on a teaser released in November. There are other changes as well. The white gowns are gone, replaced with all black. I believe I even saw pants in a photo or maybe that teaser just mentioned. We seem to agree mainly about the perception of performing in a "Cathedral" or church sanctuary, being confusing. As a Christian (Evangelical / non-denominational Minister) and a metal head during my military days, I absolutely love their music, even though it isn't remotely Christian.
Two or three more bands for you to check out, I would have dropped these on Patreon, but I live on a fixed income and thus cannot afford a Patreon account.
#1: Band Maid - rock to metal, all girls, dressed in "Maid" uniforms. Miku Kobato, Founder / Visionary, 2nd guitar, 2nd vocals; Misa, Bass; Akane (Aka nay) I believe co-founder with Miku; on Drums; Kaname (Ka Na Mee) Lead Guitar, and Saiki (Psy' Kee) Front woman and Vocals. Kaname has been described as an air head or scatter brained, but she writes a lot of their content, so I cannot agree with that concept. Read about them when you can, they are worth it.
#2: Gacharic Spin / Doll$Boxx: I pair these two because they are almost 100% the same members within both bands. I thing DB came first, but I really cannot support that assertion. There have been a few modifications over the past year or so. First front woman/singer and also keyboardist: Armee (Ah Mee) passed away after an undisclosed illness, there are a couple of videos with her still performing with them, she has blond hair and an excellent voice; her death is a huge loss to GS as well as the Japanese rock scene. Hana, drummer (Multi-instrumentalist), she is doing more guitar and vocals these days; and has been known to sport colored hair most notably Electric Blue; Oreo Reona, Keyboards and Vocals, F-Chopper Koga, Bass (vocals/spokesperson) she is very animated (she moves A LOT!), Tomo-Zo - I think the cutest of the bunch and lead guitar... note: this girl can shred!!!, she dances while playing and sings too. And the newest addition: Angie (Angelina 1/3, I don't have the first clue abut that fraction), Angie joined the band when she was just 17 from what I have read. But if she was a blond, she could almost be a dead ringer for Armee. She is extremely talented and has a great voice, but I think she has more energy than a kindergarten class hopped up on massive sugar intake... This whole group is energy personified. Here is a link with Angie: ruclips.net/video/-R6Nrr_omjE/видео.html and here is one with Armee: ruclips.net/video/OhCJ9cVx-cM/видео.html
Enjoy and please if you can even remotely let me know what you think, I will be honored.
Oh, and last but far from least is: Wagaki Band. I will link a pair of their songs here: ruclips.net/video/ponTbDDMYjw/видео.html the two songs are connected, this first is Homura, it's an instrumental piece, then Akatsuki no ito, in which the lead singer will annoy you with her vibrato (she sings Shingin style, with is traditional Japanese. The band itself is a fusion of contemporary and traditional instrumentation. The long harp looking thing, is the KOTO, and the banjo looking instrument is the Shamisen. If I see you react to them, I will comment there, because this one has gotten out of hand. Keep up the work, Su es Magnifico!

How many nonsense you wrote about LOVEBITES....🤣🤣🤣
The reactor has no idea who Miho is! She first heard about LOVEBITES and she doesn't care that Miho is gone. Miho decided to leave and there is no need to discuss it, this is her personal life (Miho's departure is largely connected with Miho's personal tragedy, with the death of her father).
The fact that you saw the "fallen angel" 🙄is your problem with fantasy. This is the resurrected Jesus 😇 (as intended by the director of the MV), which came into the modern world during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Originally the song is NOT RELIGIOUS!!!! This is "Glory to the World", NOT "Glory to God". This is an appeal to the World, People, Humanity ! If the reactor and some people who call themselves fans of LOVEBITES did not understand the meaning of the song and, separately, the meaning of MV (this is the idea and work of the director), then this suggests that they understand little about the work of their "favorite band"
LOVEBITES DIDN'T change from white to black! On the new studio album, which will be released in February 2023, all the Ladies are in WHITE and gold, as befits the GODDESSES of metal.
What do you mean gave the wrong song? ???? "Glory to the World" according to some music critics is the pinnacle of European power metal! Some even claim that "Glory to the World" and "Dystopia Symphony" are the band's TWO BEST songs (I can provide a link to an article).🤗
The presence of the band in the church can only bring down a person who does not know anything about LOVEBITES at all, does not understand and does not feel their music (although he passionately claims that he "loves their music"), does not understand why and for what this song was written. The director of the Music Video decided to shoot it in a church, add the image of Jesus, stigmata in order to strengthen people's belief that bright times will come, millions of people will stop dying, and humanity will get rid of Covid - 19
      Etc. ....... etc.........
      Nothing personal. Just the facts.

@@rosalieelliottofficial - YW! I probably didn’t see it the first time I watched it. It’s a fairly long fade out like 10 or more seconds. Attention span… right? 😉
For more fun, Swan Song with Chopin intro, but IMO Edge Of The World live shows off more songwriting and vocal talent. These girls go full on heavy too, Set The World On FIre….seriously dark lyrics, and absolutely awesome musical work by the whole band. For a more relaxed sound, Empty Daydream and Epilogue.

Once I've heard a comment from ASAMI, the vocalist that they made this song while the long pandemic of COVID19 covered all over the world, when they couldn't perform any lives before fan audiences, and people got down and lost their positive energy toward future...😨😭SO they wanted to give glorious light and power and to hold back some brightness or hope to people through music. The lyrics may smell like a kind of religion for somebody but I disagree because we, Japanese people have not enough such belief or mind as Christianists mostly🌊 although I know well about what God means in anyway.
