You're welcome dude, thank you for watching
Yeah. THIS is what boom-bap drums are supposed to sound like! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching dude
Thanks for this!
You’re welcome dude. Thanks for watching.
The crates motel is the ONLY reference you need to learn how to use mpc one.
Thanks for watching dude.
This has more nuggets than McDonalds. Amazing!!
Haha thank you
Absolutely loving this series. Can i make a request for a possible future video ? ... could really do with some guidance re setting the individual track volumes/levels optimumly so that whats hitting the master output is best placed to utilise the mastering type plugins for maximum clean volume on master channel.
That's a good shout. I will add that to the list. Thanks for watching dude.
Thanks man , if anyone can help it's you !
Absolutely superb, this is gold 👌
Thanks for watching dude. I hope there’s something in there for you.
Great video! I can definitely hear the difference in that kick drum by using the MPC 60 simulation! Wow!
Yeh man I love it. Lovely weighty low end.

Thank you again for another informative video. It Really helps to dive in more detail after learning the basics.
Thanks for watching Eddie. I’m glad there’s something there for you.
Hey Conan, would be great to see a video on all the different Harmonic FX explained (distortions) .. They sound great, especially the Akai stock ones.. Would love to know more about them though to get more control.
Good shout dude, I’ll add that to the list.
Another banger
Thanks for watching dude
Akai should be paying you Conan!
Haha I think I’d prefer to remain impartial. Thanks for watching brother.
@@TheCratesMotel Facts!
Nicely done mate. Always learning from you. Thanks
You're welcome man, thank you for watching
Love this. Thank you so much. Can you please recommend great headphones for mixing it on standalone?
Hey buddy. Thanks for watching. I can only suggest headphones I’ve actually used. I’m not that guy who suggests something I’ve never used lol. The Beyerdynamic DT770 and 990 are great and very well priced.
Very cool.
Thank you brother
Great video. The cool thing about so many people being able to post unmastered music is that we've come to adapt to an lower quality mixes so that even with just the MPC/Force built-in FX could be used to make bangers...if you got skills like that.
I haven't really messed with it, but you I think you could use the Randomization feature in the Drum Program editor to emulate movement like you on the shaker sample using the Auto-Pan FX
Yeh I don’t see why not. I’ve not used it much myself.
@TheCratesMotel Add it to the list. People really like your videos. I'm surprised you don't sell $5 drum packs like everyone else 🤑 or maybe that down the line. Normally, I don't buy them, but if I did, it would be from someone like you who knows his stuff!
@@Noise-Conductor I do sell them lol. Not drum packs as such. I sell really rare open breaks that I’ve made into three minute loops. I have thought about drum packs but I’d want them to be special and stand out from the usual packs on sale. They also take a lot of time to put together if they’re done properly. It’s definitely something to consider at some point.
Really love the channel Conan! Does this approach also work for "house" music drums mixing?
Hey man, thank you for watching. It will work for all drums to be honest with refinements. I will be doing some videos on mixing House music in the MPC. Despite Hip Hop being my first love from the 80s, I have predominantly been a House Music producer since the late 80s, and most of my clients are House Music labels and producers, so I will definitely be giving it some time in the MPC.
@@TheCratesMotel The house content would be much appreciated 🙏, there's definitely a crossover with the hip-hop content so I'm learning a lot already! thanks again mate!
Nice work! You really know those internal plugins inside out. The only thing, to my ears I think the kick was a bit too squashed. I preferred the attack of the original. Loved the spring reverb on the snare and clao though!
Yes of course I agree. In these demonstrations I have to go overboard a little otherwise it’s not possible for people to hear the effect. I would never compress a kick that much normally. The spring in the clap was overcooked as well. Thanks for watching.
what is in the return 2?? delay and what?
I always put an EQ after my send effects. Force of habit.
@@TheCratesMotel thanks this is gold .
