The kettle's on, the sun has gone, another day She offers me Tibetan tea on a flower tray She's at the door, she wants to score She dearly needs to say I loved you a long time ago, you know Where the wind's own Forget-me-nots blow But I just couldn't let myself go Not knowing what on earth there was to know But I wish that I had 'cause I'm feeling so sad That I never had one of your children Then across the room, inside a tomb A chance is waxed and wanes The night is young Why are we so hung up in each other's chains? I must take her and I must make her while the dove domains And feel the juice run as she flies Run my wings under her sighs as the flames of eternity rise To lick us with the first born lash of dawn Oh, really, my dear, I can't see what we fear Sat here with ourselves in between us And at the door, we can't say more than just another day And without a sound I turn around and I walk away
A cup of tea is everything sometimes - and that line - I can't see what we fear / sat here with ourselves in between us. for a moment, nothing else exists.
Many thanks for the uploads - I did attempt to record one or two numbers myself, only to discover that I had absolutly no idea how to use the camera on my phone. Much appreciated - a sublime performance.
It's fine. No, really... It's fine.. I mean I'm fine - It's fine. Yes. What do I mean? This song is not a sad song. It never was. Hard. So very hard. Here goes : The song is a statement of fact. There, I blurted it out. Beyond that, I could not help anyone. It would be like when you play hunt the thimble and the person is hot.
Brilliant song, brilliant orchestration but his timing is proppa shit. And I don't just mean on this vid. either but on most of the newer ones. And I fukkin' love this song it's one of favourites ever.
What a lovely voice! Always been one of my favourite songs.
This,song gives me,goosebumps.Atmospheric,&harrowingly,beautiful.Compare this to the,utter,drivel of present-day,radio mainstream,souless,drivel.
I feel like Roy has a real love for Joanna and her music
and it comes across in this performance
The lump in poor Roy's throat becomes too much for him about half way through. A highly emotional performance, indeed :)
Just when I thought I'd heard everything... This performance is unique and will be remembered.
Music DOESN"T get better than this!
Every time I watch this performance I get teary eyed. When Roy chokes up this song just becomes that much more powerful. Amazing, I love it.

What I wouldn't give to have been able to attend this evening!
I wish I could have been there. Two of my favourite artists in one place, couldn't be more perfect. A beautiful song, at that.
Phew I shed a wee tear there wow deep!
Thanks so much - one of the many highlights of a wonderful evening

Thanks for uploading this. It was such a beautiful moment, one of many on a fantastic, emotional night.
Awwwwww. Roy is so sweet~
Yes, a remarkable evening that I certainly won't forget in a hurry and a beautiful rendition of Another Day.
I was there!!
the ultimate old hippy still has the power to move me!
Is that the same string arrangement from This Mortal Coil? It sounds remarkably similar at times.
it's the same song lol
@@aniruddhagowda8072 Yes - but you don't neccesarily use the same string arrangement as another cover. Not sure why that required a "lol"

Is this in repsomse to Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel's version?
Mate, he wrote it. On Flat Baroque and Beserk, released in 1970.
