Nice vid bro, I was thinking of getting one of these to compare it to my Holland Mars M1 Enhanced. If it is a better cost effective option for recording playback then I would like to inform my viewers accordingly.
Thank you for the kind words and taking the time to say them! So far, it has been a great monitor. I've mainly used it for recording my EVF and for that it is perfect. It could be better in some features. Baking in LUTS would be nice. But at this price you really cannot complain.

@@Donny_B First, I want you to know I subb'd 🤘. Second, I purchased the expensive Holland Mars M1 Enhanced and it cost $499 and has a few challenges as well. I'm currently rocking the Micro Studio 4k G2 and it does not have video playback. So having a monitor that can record clips and play them back is key with this camera. So I found out about Shimbol and found your vid. I think the M1 enhanced is over priced and after watching your vid this may be a good budget friendly substitution.

I'm not sure. You would think it would be available world wide. I was able to find the wireless monitor but not the Memory I. I'll see what I can find out and report back. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of it.
Are you sure of the LT HQ XQ where you say 100MB/min ? Because to my calculations this is around 13-14 mbit/s in the highest qualitty than. I've seen on another video that it was around 24mbit/s. For how long can you record on 32GB sd card? Or can you share a video recorded in the highest qualitty via google drive or something for us to check it out. This will solve a big issue that i have. Thank you!
So, it doesn't record in 4K? I guess it doesn't cut it for me.
Never used a monitor recorder before so know nothing about them , could I use my camera as normal to be taking still images through the viewfinder whilst the monitor is recording video of what I am shooting with the camera ?
Absolutely! I'm a photographer first, not a filmmaker and I was looking for a way to record my viewfinder. It works great for photos but there is a downside. Not sure if it is all cameras or just Canon, but it does not support playback to review images
its only NTSC ? or it can shot PAL (at 50fps) ? can you try?

I've been playing around with it for about half an hour and although I cannot find an actual setting to choose between PAL & NTSC, I have noticed that it is switching to whatever the camera is set to automatically and is capped at 1920x1080 50p when recording. When being used as just a monitor it will do 4k25p OR 4k30p. I hope this helps and thanks again for your time
I’m trying to condense this question as much as I can. I have a Nikon Z 50 and the video recording time limit is 29 minutes. Will I be able to through the HDMI out on the camera get recording times beyond the 29 minutes?
Yeah, that 30 minute limit is tough. Basically it will record your EVF. So technically it will record whatever your camera is seeing as long as you have the space on the card. I guess you could get away with it as long as you hide all the info on the screen and set your camera to not time out after so long. Not sure it will serve the purpose you are looking for.
But maybe I can help you out while you're here. I was so fed up with that record limit. So many times I was talking to a camera that wasn't recording.....
If you get a remote shutter with an intervalometer (a decent one is around $40) and set it to 29:59 or whatever your limit is minus 1 second, it will automatically hit the shutter again. Plus it gives you a wireless remote. Downside is it will be separate files. I used this method for a couple years until I upgraded.

does it record through a DSLR I have old ?Nikon D300
As long as it has an hdmi port
I'm alost sure the d300 can't do it. I own the D7000 and it can't do it. I think either the Nikon D800 or D810 can record fullHD 8bit 422.
BTW I bought an used Ninja V with everything I need, including SSD, batteries, sun hood, and a bunch of other stuff for 400 eur (close to 400$). Great deal! It works perfectly with my good old XT3.
Have I read it right that it *views* 4k but only records 1080p?
That's right. It works great for recording your EVF and having a back up recording or viewing LUTs while in LOG. Being that it is a "budget monitor" it is recording to a UHS 1 card. It is 1080p 60fps though. It's not a replacement for the Atomos by any means but it is a great monitor with good image and color. Also it won't bake in LUTS. Just preview.

Looking to get this monitor soon. Is the swivel plastic or aluminum? Should I get a better swivel or keep the one supplied?
It's aluminum and quite nice. I did get the SmallRig thinking that it did not come with one. I use the SmallRig only because it has a locking pin but had I known it came with one, especially being matte black and metal, I would not have gotten the other.
