You know whats crazy? I put on the OST of DS1 and then started searching for some concept art videos and muted the video then halfway through saw your description of having the OST of DS1! You my friend get a new follower. And great art too!
I like how the spots on the branch ends could easily be seen as wilting leaves or crows and/or ravens perched above watching the traveler pass through.

I still struggle sometimes in establishing a good depth and composition in my paintings, and I still have hard time with perspective ^^'.
Anyway the only comment I could add to your painting is, the chains, I no think they contributed well to the painting, but anyway that's probably just me.

i used to think i was fantastic at art, i used to think i knew alot about game design especially for my age, hell i even believed my IQ was 140 all from a couple of online tests. i reckon in reality is 80 and my art work is fucking shit and i cant focus on any from adhd i probably dont even have. FUCK me im glad i found this out at 19, shit desk job here i come
