Hi, Can I ask a question: In moderated mediation analysis, is it necessary for the direct effect of the mediation (M) on the dependent variable (DV) to be statistically significant, or is It only sufficient for the interaction effect of the moderated variable (W) and mediator (M) on the DV to be significant.
Thanks for this! I've run Model 7 (a path moderation). Question - if I've run this and have sig interaction term, and mediation, but the mean centering is sig only at the high level (CIs not sig at low and average), and the index of moderated mediation value CIs don't cross zero... do I have a moderated mediation? I worry that the 3 values (low ave high) are only sig at the high.
Hi, sorry for late to reply. I overlook this video here. Yes you can conclude that there is a moderated mediation and that you need to explain now why the mediation is significance at higher level but not the other levels. Thanks
Thanks for this video. I have a question that in mediated-moderation, once you putted the moderation variable in Z and then in W while performing spss analysis. Can you tell me please .. when to put in Z ?
Amna Hasnain professor hayes developed a total of 74 models for conditional analysis. I recommend you to look at it to have a better understanding of which model is yours. On the other note, PROCESS MACRO now are capable of accommodating few moderators on a single mediation or a moderator on few mediation.
A new subscriber here! I have a question. If let's say...I have a continuous variable (Life satisfaction) which I assign as W. This variable has 5 items (5 questions). Am I to average each respondent's answers in SPSS, make a new column and then assign that new variable as my M? Great video en hope to see more new videos from you!
Yes, that's how it works. The PROCESS Macro does path analysis using linear regression. The variables are assumed to be observable or directly measurable. Averaging multi-item measures is common when we do other techniques such as ANOVA .
Very clearly explained. Thanks, Faizan and Francis.
Thank you. Please help by sharing it further

Hello do you have any video of SmartPLS For such model??
??
Hello, what power analysis is suitable for moderated mediation analyses? I am particularly interested in model 58. Thanks!
Thank you so much, very insightful.
Thank you very much. Please help me by sharing it further.
super clear explanation, thank you so much

Hi, you need to follow the procedure and model stated by the Process Macro.
I am having moderated mediation as suggested meaningful. What if I am having multiple moderators in between a single mediator and dependent variables?
Hi, you can test one moderator at a time and make conclusion on the effect of each moderator on the mediated relationship
It means if I have two mediators I shall run two separate models? And hv different frameworks only in terms of moderators?

Sir any link to read those 74 models, please? It will be of great assistance for my PhD work.
