Even as a child I loved spinach. My Italian mother died when I was 4, but my Irish father continued to cook everything the Italian way. When I started school and they served spinach at lunch I thought I was in heaven until I tasted it. That was the most horrible thing that ever crossed my lips! Boiled, no garlic, no olive oil, no salt. It was like eating the front lawn. My daughter has been trained to cook spinach the right way. We try not to let my son in law cook when spinach is on the menu. If he does, I feel like I'm in elementary school again! I've been tricked a few times, expecting flavor and getting the front lawn!
For a guy who lives alone in his 50's, who struggles with cooking, this video was huge help .
