It's incorrect that she doesn't find a dinglehopper in the live-action version, she does, in the sunken ship just like in the 1989 animated original, she even puts it in the candle holder in her cave at the beginning of "Part Of Your World" just like in the 1989 original. The telescope is a new addition in the live-action remake, not a replacement of the dinglehopper.
