I agree with you Gregor. I believe it to be a wise decision on your part to purchase the HJC helmet. I also have a HJC, along with a Nolan & both are quality helmets. You also purchased your helmet @ a great price. Thanks for the video my great Slovenian friend. Have an awesome day! Cheers!! Illinois, USA

Now I am completely satisfied with the ride and comfort. Thanks for the comment Larry. In the evening there will be a poll in the community section. You can check it and vote. Say hi to Trisha and take care. Both of you. Cheers.

    Great point Gregor,
The helmet is very important on these type of bikes, especially on our Tracer's,
i have personally changed 4 screens and still had buffeting issues,
i still have some, but on these bikes, whatever you do there will still be some.
the type of the bike is upright and is not like a sport bike where you tuck and have better aerodynamics,
on these Trace's is a must to have a touring helmet, NOT a sport helmet and not an ADV helmet,
i have the Scorpion Exo 520 Air and is very noise, but on the R6, is perfect, and my wife has same model helmet and she mentioned same thing on the Tracer,
I also have one of the Nexx helmets and is ok on the Tracer, but i prefer my Schuberth C5, this is the best of the best for me :D,
regarding the screens, as mentioned, i've had Puig, Ermax, MRA sport and now have the MRA Vario Touring also the stock screen, from all, i prefer the MRA Vario Touring screen, but this is not 100%,
the best one was the Puig touring screen, but it was way to big and i was looking through it not over it, and also because you haven't got any wind on your helmet, the visor was fogging up and always had to ride with the visor open,
This was a massive comment, but yes, is a subject that i'm still working on and still processing and doing some mods to the screen, i cannot say too much as i might do a video about it if it works, if not it will be scrapped :D
    you ride safe my friend!

I know. It is something that can be very annoying if you want to really solve it (if it is even possible to completely solve it). Somehow we can do quite a lot to reduce it, but to be 100 % successful it is a dream in my opnion. I know about your screrens. You invested a lot of money and tried them all. I will probably go for the Schubert at some point. It is on my list. I appreciate your comment and I am interested in watching your video about "buffeting problems". :) Take care bro. By the way... I like long comments. :) Cheers.

      @@RRRRefuelRideRace I know you would 🤣
I’ve done a very simple mod and I took the bike for a ride on a sunny day, gone straight on the motorway and I was very surprised that there was no buffeting 😲😲😲 and I had the screen in lower position and tried it in higher position as well,
And I thought that’s it , problem solved 💪💪💪 ,but then I realised there was no wind from any direction, the only wind was me riding , so this is the reason I haven’t done the video yet,
Then I took the bike out on a windy day from all directions and the buffeting was still there so … I’m not sure now 🤔🤔🤔

It depends a lot from many factors. Sometimes when I am on a highway and there are a lot of trucks driving I feel buffeting more intense, but on a very cam day without wind it is almost gone. Now with the HJC RPHA 70 it is OK for me. Will see how it is gonna be when I will go for a new helmet, but this is not gonna be so soon. :) Waiting for you next Episode of ypour trip.

I bought a discounted BMW Pure GS helmet and it combined better with the screen on my GS. I thought it may have bbeen just a coincidence. Interesting to see other people have similar exeperiences changing their helmets and getting better results from buffeting.

Hi Gregor I’m suffering bad wind buffering on the ninja I’ve fitted that Wunderlich wind deflector seems to of helped still using the shoei nxr2 helmet but have to buy another soon I don’t like having an helmet over 3 years old 👍🏍️

    • @RRRRefuelRideRace
      @RRRRefuelRideRace  4 месяца назад +1

The wind deflectors can help, I heard a lot about them. Anyway changing the helmet is the way to go after some year. I did the same, it was just three years in my case. Thanks for tuning in Derek. Much appreciated.

Stock screens are always too small. I had to change mine to reduce buffeting.👍
