Mantap reaksi nya mr robk ini musik rock dekade 70an yg di aransemen orchestra suara nya luar biasa menggelegar.....semoga kanada mengenal musik rock Indonesia
This song is from their second album Cermin (1980) that's more progressive. Songs like Anak Adam (Sons of Adam) that's like almost 12 minutes of madness, stuff similar to ELP, YES, Genesis maybe, has ethnic Balinese hints, jazz stuff too, their coolest song. Cermin (Mirror) the title track is like their Bohemian Rhapsody. Balada Sejuta Wajah also a really good ballad. Great classic rock. The band is God Bless, you've already react to their song Setan Tertawa, this song is Musisi.
The band is Godbless from Indonesia established in 1973. They're the all time greats in terms of rock music in Indonesia. They're one of the pioneer along with other Indonesian bands like AKA (1967), Giant Step, Ariesta Birawa, Shark Move, etc.. In Indonesia they're at the level of Queen I would say in terms of popularity and status. And they were the opening act for Deep Purple first concert in Indonesia in 1975. Godbless established in 1973 so 50 years in the music industry, released a self titled album Godbless: Huma Di Atas Bukit in 1975, but I have to say in that album they haven't found their colour yet. They still kinda "copied" and tried to be bands like Genesis and stuff. But there's some cool tracks in there, there's also a really cool cover of Beatles' Eleanor Rigby, like they made it hard rock. But in 1980 they released their second album Cermin(Mirror), to me that's when Godbless finally found their colour, their identity. Cermin (1980) is definitely my favorite album. It's so progressive, of course there's hints of inspiration from ELP, YES, Genesis, Queen, but they made it themselves. There's also ethnic Balinese hints as well, jazz too, in the track Anak Adam (Sons of Adam). Very cool album including song in this video, Musisi (musician). Later on their album kinda become more commercial (not necessarily a bad thing) because Cermin although it was a great album it flopped in the market. The market just wasn't ready because at the time in Indonesia rock still not considered mainstream popular. in Semut Hitam/Black Ant (1988) they kinda be more like Bon Jovi, Van Halen, and became their best selling album. And they released couple more albums later.
