They actually should had done it or at least partly confirming her death, in the anime it was ambigous if the assasin survived and escaped or not.
I really like that they tried to show that sylphie was doing her best not to kill the assassin, but in the end chose to in order to protect her friend.
I absolutely love how Light Novel handled keeping Sylphy's identity as secret. ❤
Same. I was like "is that sylphie? Nah it's a dude. Or are they?" Just back and forth tons of times because of how much they kept insisting Fitz was a dude.
@@syrusalder7795 Pretty much the same issue the LoTR movies ran into with Eowyn hiding her identity to join the battle at Minas Tirith. In the books she uses an alias and we don't realize who it actually is until she confronts the Witch King (though there are a couple of hints). But in the movie, there just wasn't any way to credibly conceal her identity from the audience, so they just didn't try. Just the inherent differences in what can be concealed from the audience in a written vs. a visual medium.
I think it's going to be funny to see Rudy not notice that it's her.

It is overlooked the bodycount that Sylphie has, also the end scene of them walking missed the fact that a large group of them left but only like 5-6 made it to the other country due to all the assassination attempts. The LN later dumb down just what a badass she truly was.

I just wish I got to see some swordsmanship from Rudy. He might not be on Eris's level of swordsmanship but he's still pretty good with a sword despite primarily being a mage
The white hair that comes with expending alot of mana in anime might be a parallel on how you supposedly age faster the greater stress you endure in real life. Would fit considering japanese societal norms.

Can we talk about how the story of mushoku tensei just breezed by the topic of sexuality in such a twisted and fanciful manner that fits so perfectly with the setting? It makes the world feel so grounded and helps your brain create images in your head.

Yeah sylphie can silently cast all basic kinds of magic, whereas Rudy is cheating and using his scientific knowledge to silently cast every magic *but* healing, because he doesn't know how the human body works well enough. It's one of his biggest weaknesses.
We saw this in his fight with Ostred. He suffered a fatal blow and kept fighting but couldn't heal himself since his lungs were fucked and he couldn't speak.
@@finndemoncat9379 Without *chanting*. Rudeus can cast all magic without incantations except for healing magic. I remember seeing the explanation is something like he never paid attention in biology class or some other equivalent.
@@hades1737 yes, if lets say rudeus is a expert surgeon who understand human anatomy from cell to cell he might've able to heal limbs, organs etc etc

Another issue, I don't recall them walking across snow capped mountains in a blizzard to make the trip to the academy. Instead in was clearly announced and it was a cover, showing that she was stepping away from the center of power.
I imagine they'll go over the trip in more detail later, since it involved a carriage and a decoy carriage going through a border crossing where her popularity with the commoners led them to disobey orders to delay a mystery noble, as doing this in the past led to people vanishing mysterously. Not super important but I do hope they at least reference it
Also she should be with her two assistants however in the shot it only shown the three. Also the escape from Asura was pretty important well atleast lore wise for in the future.

I'm kinda sad we didn't see the assassin explode. Aside from the spectacle, I'd been thinking she might have still been alive after that, since we never see a dead body, and the assassin could have been merely captured.

The part in the light novel where the nobles are hypothesizing who sylphy is and making plans with what to do with her is a great part I see why they cldnt include it but it wld be nice to see in the show
Wow this was a game-changer so much exposition could have made Sylphoe's reveal much more epic. Sure we probably would have figured it out but at the same time it just would have added so much more to the story. And at the fact that the nobles thought that she may have been Rudy is even more insane.
The part it seems they skipped in the series of short stories was the Death of Ariel or part three of Episode 0.
Yeah, I remember there being mentions of an assassin attack on the carriage when she leaves for the academy and the use of a magic implement that makes the nobles believe the assassination was successful
Yeah one of her maids poses as a body double and took the hit for her.
They need an episode explaining what happened on their trip to the Academy as it plays a role in what happens later in the story. Considering that someone was hired to investigate whether the princess had been killed or not by one of the princess' allies and that the outcome of the investigation would affect the how things turned out, it is something that cannot be easily glossed over.
The moment i saw 2:59, something I haven't seen or thought of in years, i knew it.

@@Adddmeeeeh I've read the wn, it looks like the anime tries to tell the story keeping it's medium in mind, therefore some details may vary. I'm fine with watching it but I've read the source material more than a year ago so it might help. Im definitely still hyped for the series!

Sometimes I think people which are making anime are problems with understanding what is important and what not. This detoxification is so important, because it was what I did think whole time, what a assassin with so weak poison. Now I know. And I think they should give more time, to show how immoral nobles was in this country, because when princes talki to Sylphie in bed it was unclear how much is joking and how much it was true.
I can't fathom how more vulgar the scenes in LN compared to the "uncensored" version of the OVA, the author is more unhinged than I initially thought..
Just imagine if they showed darius finger the assassin like in the novel.

I was originally confused with this episode seeing sylphie. I was like rude hit puberty between the end of last season and this but sylphie has grown so much. Forgot we haven't really seen her for, at least, almost 2yrs ish before the cataclysm.

I thought that her change in hair colour was due to shock.
I had a classmate who literally had his hair turn grey after facing life's ugly side... It was during the new years celebrations when a drunk guy walked up to the family for no apparent reason, drew a flare gun and shot the dad in the face at point blank! The flare was powerful enough to not just knock out a couple of teeth, but inbed itself in the meat of the neck. Besides the physical damage he suffered severe burns, blood loss and nearly suffocated and as fate really love to kick you in the face when you're already down, his mother got ill while his dad was still in a lengthy recovery process. It turned out that she had inoperable and terminal cancer... The kid wasn't even hitting the second digit in his years when he nearly became an orphan and had to helplessly watch his parents suffer...
To be honest, I never liked him. He was a reasonably smart kid, but crazy and not in a good way...

It all makes sense now, i was wondering why Sylphie's hair turned white and why after 1 assassination attempt they decided to send the Princess away. One would think adding more guards would come 1st and after a few attempts they would resort to sending her far away.

@9:00 Chapter 38 I can't find an uncensored version to make this scene particularly interesting. This chapter also shows Slyphie in all her pantsus, top and bottom that they didn't show in the anime, they must be saving it for the future.

Probably more erotic, but not straight up nudity. I think the version on RUclips (Muse Asia) would be the censored version.
It seems the international version is censored. From what was mentioned unntil now there was only the scene where the pedo guy who tried to kidnap Eris on Season 1 molests the assassin sent against Ariel.
This is my lest favorite section of MT. I wouldn't have minded if they cut the Fitz/Sylphy plot entirely.
The changes and cut of season 2 have been infuriating for me. Spilling on Fitz sucks, but I know that seeing it animated would have fooled no one. The changes to the first price and the assassination attempt could have been better. Lastly, i reqlly wish they would not have made it look like the three of them walked all alone the whole way. Their group went through volent, political hell getting to Ranoa.

If they made the scenes more child-friendly, it will be difficult to explain her mental state later. Horrible scenes create mental problems when they occur, and episodes of stress and nervousness bring them back to the surface of the mind. It is difficult to explain the feelings that control your actions to another person who has not experienced the event itself. I think you described the princess a little too much with this summary.
