I don't even use my Hydras anymore. My knees were absolutely beat up after doing a light day at the field with them. My Dye pads are just too tight and everytime I try to break them in it just hurts to wear. I've been running the Bunkerking Supreme V2 knee pads and I love them so far.
This Man is probably one of the best strength and training coaches for beginners to long time athletes! I swear by his training program as he is extremely knowledgeable about paintball and being safe while playing! Check out his training program it's crazy affordable and you learn a ton along the way!
I’ve had a pair of the dye pads for over 10 years and they are still identical to a brand new pair. No foam degradation or worn out Velcro. They are tight around my shins but my knees stopped hurting after I started wearing them so I don’t mind.
I have used the exalt pads and I do not like them. I had one pair for several seasons. I was sewing them back together myself as seems ripped and the foam wore right out. The only bonus is there is a large pocket at the front of the pad that I can slip in some dollarama foam kneepads to beef them up. I highly recommend doing that if you find the pads too thin.
@@playbetterpaintball I should add that it may be a little different for your experience. I'm a giant so the padding may be adequate for you. I would try other brands but they literally don't make them big enough for my legs so I don't have opinions of other ones.
I can def see that, though my good friends a big guy and he loves his exalt pads so it could be that you play much more aggressively and need a much beefier knee pad, in which case I've heard the armadillo ones can be pretty great!
Torn meniscus is about as comfy as a kick in the balls or a gouged eye, but it lasts 6+ months. Use a good kneepad. Carbons suck. - Meniscus tear on the second time using them. First knee injury in 30 years of paintball.
As a snake player of 3 years, I've gone through exalt, hydra, and dye knee pads. The exalt pads will NOT offer the same protection as dye pads because they're made of a thinner and softer foam layer. using the exalts for a year compressed the foam and they got worn out/compressed much faster than a dye pad would. From my experience, the dye pads have been the best for me and I will not be going back to exalt pads for this reason.
I started in July and went for the Exalt pads. They seemed fine at first but have definitely compressed to the point where the padding is basically ineffective. Might go for these Dye ones but wish they were a little wider.
He lives!!! My favorite paintball fitness & rehab youtuber lol
Most comprehensive pad review on RUclips. Love my Dye pads and am grateful for your advice on choosing them
Hopefully not too comprehensive 😁 definitely appreciate the support and very glad I was able to help you pick a great pair of pads 🙌

Been waiting on this review. Thanks again.
Great content brother keep up the good work
Would you suggest to use a knee sleeve and knee pads? I was thinking of getting the planet eclipse and using a sleeve under to slide cancel and etc

Very sorry to hear that and hope you're able to get the care you need to heal!
Were you wearing the carbon bottoms or CC knee pads?
@@Rizamusic the bottoms. Tossed em and went to BK knee pads.
@@Dmorris556 I'll have to check those out. Thank you!

@besweeeet2 thx for letting me know that they don't hold up well over time!
