Luxray was my favourite Pokémon of my Diamond team. I always treated him like he was my real starter. Poor moveset, too slow. They need more love. 4 out of 21 trees = 19%, with a 1% chance = 0.19% of finding Munchlax on average. Finding Feebas, on average, has a chance of 0.38%. That's insane. This must be one of the rarest Pokémon to date.
BDSP is one letter off a certain thing because everyone who played Gen 4 and still plays Pokemon is clearly into it. Slow moving, insane difficulty with seemingly random team compositions, Bibarel existing, and pretty much anything to do with encounter rates.
The point you made about Glaceon really hits home for me. Never used to be one of my favourite Eeveelutions, but in Drayano's rom hack of Heart Gold and Soul Silver (Sacred Gold and Storm Silver), the Bell Tower man gives you the item you need to evolve Eevee into whichever evolution you want (the stones for the OG trio, and new evolution items for Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon and Glaceon). Since I already had Electric and Water types on my team (Jolteon and Vaporeon being two of my favourite and most used Eeveelutions), and having used Espeon a lot in previous playthroughs, I went with Glaceon, since I wanted another Pokemon to use in the first gym, and my god I was pleasantly surprised. Glaceon and a lot of the other Eeveelutions were seriously buffed in these Rom Hacks, but even then, it became one of my favourite evolutions for Eevee. Long story short, I want them to keep Glaceons SwSh evolution method (Ice Stone) because I wanna be able to use one early on (here's hoping that the Ice Stone could be found earlier than Snowpoint).
"I'm worried that those flaws will be carried over into the new games." I mean.. if remakes are to improve the older version/s... that most likely wouldn't happen.

Pre watching video: The only flaws gen 4 had was the severe lack of fire types and the disgustingly slow speed during battle. Aside issues of the time like HM’s the games will be rock solid if they fix those 2 issues and include the distortion world. I’ll be curious to see what your personal gripes are. Post watching video: Did not see that coming. I had no idea the dex was this badly balanced. I’ll have to agree with you here. Yeah...... the late evolution bullshit has to GO! Bisharp is my all time favorite Pokémon. I used a Pawniard for so long wondering when the hell this thing would evolve. When I found out it’s 52.... I lost it. That is ridiculous. No Pokémon should fully evolve beyond 40 unless it’s a pseudo legendary and even than it should be no later than 45. Trade evolutions can go to hell too. The stone and location evolutions, I agree with you there. Yup, no argument here. Fix the slowness and give better electric move to the Sinnoh Electric type people actually want to use. No shade to Luxray but I prefer Electrivire. Problem is it’s a dirty trade evolution so Luxray it is. This is one of the best videos you’ve ever made. Easily top 3. It doesn’t contain the usual hiccups majority of your vids contain that I’m sure the comment section reminds you of 10,000 fold. It makes sense, well edited, and with good explanations. Well done dude.
Maybe you can get Lucky and sweep Cynthia with your favorite pokémon (apparently bisharp, cool mon) like Mine did (come on Mine is a legendary that is literally Cynthia's weakness in Gen4, Latios: T-bolt, aura sphere/ HP fighting, dragon pulse, psychic this moveset can counter all of Cynthia's team except spiritomb)
I really want the distortion world back, at least like a post game episode like from ORAS or implemented someway shape or form. Mikey said nothing about the distortion World, how dare he?
I think it would be cool if Riley shows up earlier in the game and sees you are a talented trainer so he decides to give you an egg, similar to how Cynthia did that when you took down the galactic base. Then in the iron island he recognizes you and has 3 different dialog options. He either says "hasn't hatched yet? Don't worry it should hatch soon", or "I see it hatched into a Riolu, Congratulations! I knew giving you the egg was a good idea." and on that second option there's a chance to have him say "and it even evolved, you're an excellent trainer!" It would be a good reference to how if you evolve your starter before talking to Rowan, he'll acknowledge that you trained in the grass on the first route for hours, as secret dialog.
Yea. It’s the one thing I hope doesn’t happen. I could literally care less about everything else but if the game is easy, meaning things like the exp share is broken and super easy to level up, or the trainers and Cynthia are easy, I’m gonna be angry
Which is why it isn't going to be easy (her team won't get nerfed but I assume that it'll be easier cause of faires and people having more experience then they did when dp first came out)
@@thejuic3b0i64 she could run a dragon rush+eq+ iron head+ any other move set. That's what I think might work to keep Garchomp difficult. But Cynthia also has Lucario and Roserade with supereffective STAB against fairy

Lucario was still the #1 when you ignore Greninja in the 2016 popularity poll and the only other official poll that's been done since then Greninja lost to Lucario.
I’m noticing a lot of people aren’t talking about the Introduction of the fairy type, and what that means for Cynthia’s team. Togekiss is now a fairy/flying type, and the only reason it was put on her team was because it was “too challenging” in DP. I wonder what they’ll do to make her team not completely broken in this game
Don't hold your breath with the Battle Frontier. Junichi "Mr. Kids with their smartphones won't have enough attention for the Battle Frontier" Masuda is still a co-director.
I ain't a fan of Masuda either but you're giving him a discredit. They said in the announcement trailer he basically is stepping away from Arceus/Game Freak on a temp job to be HEAD director for these games
If the Battle Frontier was less annoying, I'd play it. But as-is, those post-game affairs are just plain annoying and way too bothersome for me to want to slog through them with Pokemon's outdated combat system.
Agreed on all your points especially the Glaceon point. We all want to play with our favorite Pokémon fairly early in our first play throughs. With Alpha Sapphire, I could get an Aron after I get the second gym badge. I don’t care if he’s not competitively viable, I just want to gain access to an Aggron fairly early in my play throughs.
“You can’t walk three feet without getting your socks wet if you step too close to a Water Type Pokémon [especially since there are 33 Water Types, more than the number of Ice, Fire, Dragon, Ghost, and Electric Types combined]”

I mean even if it's the exact same battle it will be easier. Fairy types now exist for Garchomp & Spiritomb, if her Garchomp Megas it get's slower which can make it easier to deal with and most importantly players have gotten better. No Pokemon game is truly difficult it's all about how experienced the player is. SwSh may have been overall easy but I've seen multiple people never lose a battle and then wipe to Leon meanwhile I beat him with a slightly under leveled team. Unless you wipe your memories of your newer Pokemon experiences the remakes won't be harder than the originals because you are a better trainer.
@@bdf1006 With the right setup it's possible to oneshot Cynthia's Garchomp without overlevelling. Fairy type doesn't do much if you consider Garchomp's always had a 4x weakness to Ice.
@@Felixr2 Fairy type gives another option to get rid of Cynthia's strongest Pokemon as well as have a type that is immune to one of it's stab moves. Gastrodon with Ice Beam has always been an easy option to take down Garchomp. Ice Shard may not KO especially when underleveled but it will still do great damage. The point is there are more ways to deal with her team than in the past especially if they keep reusable TM's allowing more of your Pokemon to pack strong coverage moves. The biggest factor is still experience as the average player just didn't know all the ways you could handle Cynthia's team even if the options were available
Unpopular opinion: I like the location based evolutions. It gives sense to the region. It is not required to delay glaceon. Just have a ice stone right after the Mt.Coronet snow entrance, and put some npcs blocking the road like in renegade Platinum. Bam easy peasy.
Why is everyone complaining about Garchomp being a joke now....when the ice type literallyis 4x effective. I understand it for Spirirtomb, but Garchomp? Just give the thing Poison Jab or something and your fairies are dealt with easily
Masuda said in an interview that the battle frontier was cut in ORAS because he didn’t believe that players have the time or attention span anymore to utilize it.
I mean, I did get bored after like 50 double battles but I still killed it with my earthquake Quagsire and Staraptor duo! Weavile also took care of grass types!
Pokemon fans: man ORAS has way too many hms and no batte frontier. Its so annoying Also pokemon fans: 7.8/10, IGN why DARE you devalue this masterpiece.
You also forgot about Feebas and their random water tile nonsense, I would like if their was a way to at least tell us or give a clue to which water tile it can spawn on. Besides that solid points.
Probably; although the Fairy Type may cause problems for Spiritomb and Garchomp, I think that is cancelled out by Togekiss being a Fairy Type and the fact that Megas are likely in the remakes, so she’ll probably be given a Mega Garchomp (Mega Lucario might go to Maylene, but if not, it’s probably better for Cynthia).
@@nicoo1784 I'd honestly rather Cynthia have no mega than a Mega Garchomp. Sure, it's her signature Pokemon, but it's lower speed makes it much easier to take out with a coverage ice move. One of the reasons her Garchomp was so tough is that it outran pretty much everything that could take it down.
If you have a solid ice-type move and you don't get crit, she's not that hard. Gliscor can easily take out Garchomp with two or three Ice Fangs (again if you don't get crit, if you do you might be in trouble).
You all do realize that x4 super effective ice damage has been a thing you could use against Cynthia since the original game, right? All you needed was a Weavile and a good Ice type move, and boom, that dragon was ohko’ed.
Since unless I picked it as a starter I hardly ever used fire type Pokemon in most of my games (aside of the 6th and 8th generation where I used them more frequently) I didn't even notice the lack of fire Pokemon in the 4th gen until years later when I started to watch Pokemon videos and everyone was pointing it out.
Hello there! Welcome to the world of RUclips! My name is Ryuga! People call me The Dragon Emperor! This world is inhabited by creatures called RUclipsrs! For some people, RUclipsrs are truthfull. Others Consider them as Clickbaiters. Myself...I watch RUclips as a means of wasting time.
Solution- they change it to Kadabra, but forget that the Everstone doesn't stop it from evolving. Unless they're gonna stop with that now that Uri Geller's apologized, anyway.
I’ve come up with a decent way to keep the spirit of HMs without the annoyance. They no longer have to take up a move slot, and all Pokémon of a specific type can use them. Examples: All stage 2 or 3 flying types can fly, no matter the level. All fighting types can use strength and rock smash, all bug and steel types can use cut
I think Nosepass, if they're shifting away from location based evolutions (which they should), will evolve either via metal coat or thunder stone. I know thunder stone makes no sense BUT Nosepass and Probopass are based on magnets, they learn a lot of electric type moves, they evolve in similar places to the thunder stone pokemon, it would be the best choice if they REALLY want to use stone evolutions.

This video taught me a lot. One of the main things is that, what people wanted was a PLATINUM remake. Not DP. Because I never owned DP or Platinum. I emulated DP and this makes sense as to why people seem so HYPE when I thought those games were forgettable.
And also, I really wanted remakes of Black and White (or the sequels) but seeing how dodgy BDSP were, I don't anymore 😂 But a Legends Unova would be cool, like delve into the lore around the original Dragon pokemon splitting into Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem, and show the Swords of Justice and Keldeo doing their own thing
Now you say this, it highlights exactly why I never wanted a sin oh remake at all. Platinum is perfect. The only thing I would change are the breakable TMs. It didn’t need a remake, least of all one which leaves out half the reasons Platinum is better than D/P in the first place.

I knew giving you the egg was a good idea." and on that second option there's a chance to have him say "and it even evolved, you're an excellent trainer!"
It would be a good reference to how if you evolve your starter before talking to Rowan, he'll acknowledge that you trained in the grass on the first route for hours, as secret dialog.

The exception is the holy bidoof

I know thunder stone makes no sense BUT Nosepass and Probopass are based on magnets, they learn a lot of electric type moves, they evolve in similar places to the thunder stone pokemon, it would be the best choice if they REALLY want to use stone evolutions.
Somebody should PROBABLY send this to ILCA
Let's not forget what we went through for Spiritomb.

You can cheese this by entering and exiting the Underground and interacting with the same person over and over again.
@@gallantblade1825 Problem was that you can't do this with npcs and needed actual online players right? This sucked for anyone playing the game years later.
@@ArtsyMagic239 If you have two Nintendo DS handhelds and two copies of the game, you can still use Wi-Fi Connection locally, last I checked. Close proximity and all. You may be able to find a specific DNS or sometime for online content as well, like with Dragon Quest 9.
Of course, this is all for a game from 2008 that is getting a rebuff at the end of this year. Maybe if there are multiple Switches together, you could play locally without the need of Nintendo Online. We’ll have to wait and see on that front.

@hajid Ok 👍
"Faithfully recreating Diamond & Pearl". Well they certainly weren't kidding. But... Don't you think they were a bit... TOO faithful with this one? Normally, I wouldn't think anything of this, considering FR/LG, HG/SS & OR/AS, but considering the things you mentioned in this video... Some of Diamond & Pearl's problems have carried over here.
Just give me a fast health bar and i will be satisfied

Here's a recommendation for glaceon. Keep the old method but also have the Ice stone method. I don't see why they shouldn't have both.
No problems.
Edit: ok the fire type “variety” was pretty trash for dp. (Before postgame)

slow HP bar, unnecessary HMs, saving takes like 5 minutes, slow as hell surfing speed

"Where gen 5"
This message is brought to you by Unova Gang
Remakes were made in:
Gen 1 - Gen 3
Gen 2 - Gen 4
Gen 3 - Gen 6
Gen 4 - Gen 8
So that means you will get Unova remakes in Gen 10
@@v3nomgaming751 gen 7 remakes = gen 7
Why in the world do people want Gen 5 remakes if we already got them? Honestly I'd go for Lets Go Johto
I guess gen 5 remakes are black &white 2
@@randomjapsi Those are sequels, not remakes
This video taught me a lot. One of the main things is that, what people wanted was a PLATINUM remake. Not DP. Because I never owned DP or Platinum. I emulated DP and this makes sense as to why people seem so HYPE when I thought those games were forgettable.
And also, I really wanted remakes of Black and White (or the sequels) but seeing how dodgy BDSP were, I don't anymore 😂
But a Legends Unova would be cool, like delve into the lore around the original Dragon pokemon splitting into Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem, and show the Swords of Justice and Keldeo doing their own thing
Now you say this, it highlights exactly why I never wanted a sin oh remake at all. Platinum is perfect. The only thing I would change are the breakable TMs. It didn’t need a remake, least of all one which leaves out half the reasons Platinum is better than D/P in the first place.
